    Abstract: Geçit Kuşağı Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğü (GKTAEM)‘ndeki yulaf ıslah çalışmaları 1929 yılından beri sürdürülmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, bölge koşullarına uyumlu yerel yulaf hatlarından verimi ve kalitesi yüksek olanların seçilerek, yeni çeşit olarak tescil ettirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Denemeler, 2017-2018 üretim yılında Eskişehir GKTAEM Merkez ve Hamidiye yerleşkelerinde yağmura bağımlı koşullarda yürütülmüş olup, bu çalışmada, ülkenin değişik yerlerinden toplanan 19 yerel hat ile standart olarak Checota, Kahraman, Kırklar, Yeniçeri ve Sebat çeşitleri kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmada genotiplerde tane verimi (TV), bin tane ağırlığı (BTA), bitki boyu (BB), yatma değeri (YD), salkım çıkarma süresi (SÇS) gibi çeşitli agro-morfolojik özelliklerinin yanı sıra tane protein oranı (TPO) ve beta glukan oranı (BG), asit deterjan lif (ADF) ve nötral deterjan lif (NDF) değerleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, ADF ve NDF değerleri dışındaki parametrelerde genotipler arası farklılıklar istatistiksel olarak önemli bulunmuş olup, TV (2,31 – 3,58 t ha-1) değerleri arasında ortalama olarak 2,93 t ha-1 hesaplanmış; genotiplerdeki BTA (25,5 – 37,1 g) arasında bulunmuş; BB ise (83,3 – 130,2 cm) olarak belirlenmiş; YD (%1 – 57) şeklinde notlanmış; SÇS (126,0 – 141,0 gün) şeklinde saptanmış; BG (%3,29 – 5,16) arasında değişmiş; TPO (%13,4 – 15,9) arasında olmuş; ADF ve NDF oranları sırayla, (%16,4 – 19,4) ile (%30,8 – 38,8) arasında belirlenmiştir. Buna göre, G13, G16, G19, G21, G22 ve G23 yerel yulaf hatlarının hedeflenen agro-morfolojik ve kalite özellikleri bakımından yeterli oldukları anlaşılarak ilgili ıslah programında bir üst kademeye aktarılması sağlanmıştır.

    Abstract: In this study, it was aimed to develop higher yielding winter barley varieties with lodging resistance, medium early maturing and higher grain quality for Central Anatolia and Transitional Zone regions in both irrigated and rainfed conditions. In the trial, 11 lines from Transitional Zone Agriculture Research Institute and varieties such as İnce-04, Larende, Tarm-92, Ünver, Özdemir-05, Erginel-90 and Keser were used as standards. Trials were set up as Randomized Complete Block Design with 4 replications in 2014-2015 growing season in Eskisehir Center, Sultanönü (rainfed) and Soil–Water (irrigated) locations. According to the results of this research, the differences among genotypes were found significant (P & lt;0.01) for all traits in both environments. Lines 9, 10, 11 for grain yield (GY), Erginel-90 for plant height, lines 1, 10, 11 and Larende for 1000 kernel weight in irrigated conditions, lines 5, 8 and 10 in rainfed conditions were prominent. Lines 1, 3, 9 were found as early heading genotypes. Negative correlation was found significant between grain yield and lodging score, days to heading parameters. Whereas, positive correlation was found between 1000 kernel weight and grain yield. When all the parameters were evaluated together, it is determined that the lines 10 and 11 were prominent.

    Abstract: Ülkemizdeki hayvancılık ve gıda sektörlerinin giderek artan hammadde talebini karşılamak için Orta Anadolu Bölgesi iklim koşullarına uyumlu vejetasyon süresi kısa, yatmaya dayanıklı, homojen ve dolgun taneli, yüksek tane ve biyomas verime sahip kaliteli yeni arpa çeşitlerine ihtiyaç vardır. Bu ihtiyacı gidermek amacıyla Geçit Kuşağı Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü ‘ne ait ileri kademe 18 adet arpa hattı bölgede yaygın olarak yetiştirilen standart çeşitlerle kıyaslanarak uygun hatların belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Denemeler 2017-2018 ürün yılında yağışa bağımlı koşullarda Geçit Kuşağı Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü ’nün Eskişehir Merkez ve Hamidiye deneme arazileri olmak üzere iki lokasyonda yürütülmüştür. Denemeler tesadüf blokları deneme deseninde Eskişehir de 4 tekerrürlü ve Hamidiye de ise 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırmada ıslah materyalinin tane verim, başaklanma süresi, bitki boyu, yatma değeri, bin tane ağırlığı, dolgun tane oranı tane protein ve beta-glukan oranı özellikleri incelenmiştir. Lokasyon ortalamaları birleştirilerek yapılan varyans analizi sonuçlarına göre beta-glukan oranı dışında tüm parametrelerde genotipler arasındaki farklılıklar istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur. Denemede ortalama olarak tane verim 4.56-6.67 t ha-1 arasında; başaklanma süresi 115.4 - 124 gün arasında; bitki boyu 81.6-101.4 cm arasında; yatma değeri % 0-100 arasında; bin tane ağırlığı 35.7-47.4 g arasında; dolgun tane oranı %52.0-94.3 arasında; tane protein içeriği % 10.05-12.75 arasında; ß-glukan oranı ise % 3.67-4.33 arasında elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca yapılan korelasyon analizinde tane verim ile başaklanma süresi, yatma değeri ve tane protein oranı özellikleri arasında olumsuz ilişki anlamlı görülürken, dolgun tane oranı özelliği ile olumlu ve önemli bulunmuştur. Tüm özellikler birlikte değerlendirildiğinde 8, 11, 13, 14, 18 ve 22 nolu hatların çeşit adayı olarak öne çıktıkları görülmüştür.

    Abstract: For the Central Anatolia Region, where barley is grown in large areas, the rapid introduction of new varieties with high malting quality into the production areas will add added value to the country's agriculture. In a crossing made within the scope of barley cultivar development studies, it was aimed to collect the good characteristics of CWB117-5-9-5/ST5819 line and Kalaycı-97 cultivar in one cultivar. The aforementioned hybrid was put into trial as F1 generation in 1999, segregated material between 2000-2003 and observation nursery in 2004. It was selected for pre-yield trial in 2005 and yield trial in 2006. It was tested in Eskişehir Karabayır location by taking part in the yield trial stage in 2007 and 2008. The material ranked first with a yield of 675 kg/da in 2017 and fourth place with a yield of 638 kg/da in 2008. The Sabribey variety, which is wintertype, two-row and resistant to lodging, was registered as malting barley variety in 2019, taking into account its yield and quality values. The important features of Sabribey barley variety are 64.3-74.1 kg/hl hectoliter weight, 30.8-31.9 g per thousand grain weight, grain starch 60.9-64.9%, grain protein 9.4-13.9%, 2.5+2.8 mm sieve 45.2-88.4%, under sieve 2.4-5.0%, size class 3-8, husk ratio 9.5-10.2%, friability value 51.9-85.4%, fine extract 75.2-78.9%, Hartong number 35.7-37.0%, kolbach number 57.6-102%.

    Abstract: The demand for oat grain, straw and green forage from the food and livestock sectors in Turkey are increasing. In order to meet this demand, new varieties of oats with high yield and desired quality characteristics that can adapt to the changing conditions of the Central Anatolia and Transition region are needed. The research was carried out in the Eskişehir Central campus of the Geçit Kuşağı Agricultural Research Institute in rainfed (dry) conditions in 2018-2019 crop year. There were used 18 advenced lines and 6 cultivars (Checota, Kahraman, Yeniçeri, Kırklar, Sebat and Seydişehir) as material. The trial was set up with 4 repeats in randomized complete blocks desing. The plant height (PH), lodging score (LS), days to heading (DTH), grain filling period (GFP), physiological maturation period (PMP), early canopy closure (ECC) and biomass yield (BY) parameters are examined and the differences among the genotypes are found significant. As a result, lines 1 and 9 stand out with high BY and ECC index, long PH, DTH, GFP and PMP characteristics, while lines 3, 7, 8 and 19 have high BY, medium PH with moderate DTH, GFP and PMP they have become prominent lines. In the correlation analysis a positive correlation was found significant among BY with PH, FOS and ECC index.

    Abstract: The trials were carried out in Eskişehir central campus of the Transitional Zone Agricultural Research Institute for two years in 2012-13 and 2013-14 growing years. & nbsp; The researchs are carried out in the randomized block design with 3 replication in rainfed and irrigated conditions. There are investigated effect of different level (350, 500, 650 and 800 tohum m-2) of sowing density application on six bread wheat varieties (Alpu01, Atay85, Bezostaja1, Harmankaya99, Sönmez01 and Sultan95). It was aimed that to determine of the sowing densities to effects on large grain ratio & nbsp; (LGR), small grain ratio (SGR), 1000 grain weight (TGW), test weight (TW), grain protein content (GPC), gluten content (GC), zeleny sedimentation (ZS) and hardness value (HV) parameters. According to results of the study, while the effect of sowing densities applications in rainfed conditions are significant (p & lt;0.01) on LGR, SGR, TGW and HV components, the effect on only TGW parameter in irrigated conditions is significant (p & lt;0.01). The sowing density increases are affected negatively both LGS and TGW values. The differences between the cultivars were significant (p & lt;0.01) in all parameters. Sönmez01 and Bezostaja1 in terms of LGR, TGW and TW; Bezostaja1 in terms of ZS, PC and GC; Sultan95 in terms of HV were prominent. It is seen that negative relationship is significant (p & lt;0.01) between LGR with SGR and HV in both rainfed and irrigated conditions. There are positive correlations between TGW with the parameters TW, GC and ZS is significant (p & lt;0.01).
