Abstract: BACKGROUND: Fruit and vegetable consumption among preschool children in Indonesia is lower than recommendations, which may be due to types of food availability at home and unhealthy feeding practices such as restriction and parent pressure. Providing nutrition education through booklets and counseling on healthy food (fruit and vegetable) consumption can help to provide information to parent’s thus resulting healthy behavior, compared to merely providing booklets without counseling. AIM: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of nutrition education using booklets with counseling versus without counseling on home food availability and parent feeding practices in preschool children. METHODS: A quasi-experimental study utilized a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. Sampling methods included both purposive sampling and simple random sampling. Purposive sampling was used to select Danurejan district as the sub-district with the highest obesity percentage in Yogyakarta Municipality. Meanwhile, simple random sampling was applied to select children and schools (Early Childhood Education Program Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini [PAUD] or kindergartens Taman Kanak-kanak [TK] ). There were 56 people (28 intervention and 28 controls) taken from 4 PAUD/TK. The intervention group received nutrition education using booklets as well as one 30–60 min counseling session carried out at the participant’s home. The control group was provided with booklets, but did not receive counseling. The pre-test was carried out before nutrition education was given, and the post-test was conducted 30 days after the nutrition education. Fruit and vegetable availability at home were assessed using questionnaire, and parent feeding practices were assessed using the Comprehensive Food Feeding Questionnaire. The statistical tests used to assess outcomes between groups included pair t-test, Wilcoxon, Mann–Whitney, and independent t-test. RESULTS: There were increase in healthy eating guidance and monitoring before and after nutrition education was provided in the intervention group (p = 0.00; p 〈 0.05), but no differences were found in restriction, child control, and parent pressure (p = 0.11, p = 0.48, p = 0.28; p ≥ 0.05). There was a decrease in child control behavior before and after nutrition education in the control group (p = 0.00; p 〈 0.05), but there were no differences in healthy eating guidance, monitoring, restriction, and parent pressure (p = 0.17, p = 0.18, p = 0.53, 0.62; p ≥ 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Results demonstrate that using counseling in addition to nutrition education booklets can increase mother’s implementation use of healthy eating guidance and monitoring, with the potential to promote healthy weight within families.

Abstract: Apis cerana is one of the honeybee species from the Apis genus that produce honey, bee bread, royal jelly, and propolis. The objective of this study was to determine the honeybee forages as the pollen source and to evaluate the moisture, fat, and protein contents of bee bread from the bee of Apis cerana from different regions (Sigar Penjalin, Teniga, and Medana villages) in North Lombok, Indonesia. The methods used to determine the pollen source were taken flowers sample and then checking pollen at anther of flowers. The moisture, fat, and protein contents were determined using proximate analysis. The results showed that the honeybee forages as the pollen source from Sigar Penjalin village were maize, cashew, damar, kapok, calabash, breadfruit, passion fruit, and acacia. The plant flowers as the pollen source from Teniga village were coconut, coffee, cacao, citrus, guava, leucaena, papaya, and sugar palm, while those from Medana village were jackfruit, mangosteen, Java apple, maize, rice, candlenut, soybean, and banana. The moisture and fat contents of bee bread from Sigar Penjalin and Teniga villages were similar, and both were lower than the moisture and fat contents of bee bread from Medana village. The protein content of bee bread from Sigar Penjalin and Medana villages were similar, and both were lower than the protein content of bee bread from Teniga village. Thus, the bee bread from Teniga village was higher in protein content for all beekeeping regions, however Teniga village and Sigar Penjalin were similar in moisture and fat contents.

Abstract: The phenomenon of the COVID-19 pandemic forces the world community to transform into the world of work through the implementation of work from home. Many offices, especially in Indonesia, make use of various information systems and applications to facilitate work. Automation studies in the office environment are being studied again. The classic problem faced by most offices in Indonesia is that the automation system used is not integrated, one of which is the filing system. Most filing systems are limited to storing databases and tracking information. The archiving system model that is considered integrated, not limited to database storage and information retrieval, is the open journal system used by Indonesian national journals. This study aims to analyze the open journal system as a model for implementing the concept of office automation. The research object used is the open journal system used by accredited national journals in the social and humanities field. Data obtained through participatory observation of the open journal system used, in-depth interviews with journal managers, and literature studies. The data were processed and analyzed using the data triangulation approach. The results showed that the open journal system is an implementation of the concept of comprehensive office automation. However, it is necessary to conduct a study regarding the security and authentication of the metadata that is created on the system.

Abstract: Inflammation confounds the interpretation of several micronutrient biomarkers resulting in estimates that may not reflect the true burden of deficiency. We aimed to assess and compare the micronutrient status of a cohort of Indonesian infants ( n 230) at aged 6, 9 and 12 months by ignoring inflammation (unadjusted) and adjusting four micronutrient biomarkers for inflammation with C-reactive protein (CRP) and α -1-glycoprotein (AGP) using the following methods: (1) arithmetic correction factors with the use of a four-stage inflammation model; and (2) regression modelling. Prevalence of infants with any inflammation (CRP 〉 5 mg/l and/or AGP 〉 1 g/l) was about 25% at each age. Compared with unadjusted values, regression adjustment at 6, 9 and 12 months generated the lowest ( P 〈 0·001) geometric mean (GM) for serum ferritin (26·5, 14·7, 10·8 μg/l) and the highest GM for serum retinol-binding protein (0·95, 1·00, 1·01 μmol/l) and Zn (11·8, 11·0, 11·5 μmol/l). As a consequence, at 6, 9 and 12 months regression adjustment yielded the highest prevalence of Fe deficiency (20·3, 37·8, 59·5 %) and the lowest prevalence of vitamin A (26·4,16·6, 17·3 %) and Zn (16·9, 20·6, 11·0 %) deficiency, respectively. For serum Se, irrespective of adjustment, GM were low (regression: 0·73, 0·78, 0·81 μmol/l) with prevalence of deficiency 〉 50 % across all ages. In conclusion, without inflammation adjustment, Fe deficiency was grossly under-estimated and vitamin A and Zn deficiency over-estimated, highlighting the importance of correcting for the influence of such, before implementing programmes to alleviate micronutrient malnutrition. However, further work is needed to validate the proposed approaches with a particular focus on assessing the influence of varying degrees of inflammation (i.e. recurrent acute infections and low-grade chronic inflammation) on each affected nutrient biomarker.

Abstract: This study aims to describe the tradition of Slametan Suro which was carried out at Mount Kelud, Sugihwaras Village. The type of research and the approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that: (1) The Slametan Suro Gunung Kelud tradition started from the Slametan Punden ritual which is the original tradition of Sugihwaras Village. This tradition is carried out once a year in the month of Suro. The tradition of Sugihwaras Village which raised the myth about Lembu Suro's anger towards Dewi Kilisuci began to be developed again in 2005 by the Tourism Office at the opening of Mount Kelud tourism. (2) The tradition of Slametan Suro at the beginning before the opening of Mount Kelud tourism was realized by Slametan Punden on the slopes of Mount Kelud. The Mount Kelud tour was opened without changing the existing village traditions. The realization of the Slametan Suro tradition at the summit of Mount Kelud is the Slametan Punden and ritual offerings. (3) The function of Slametan Suro is for the people of Sugihwaras Village to cooperate and with the local government. Second, it is expected to preserve culture. Third, open up business opportunities for the community to trade. (4) The Slametan Suro tradition has a meaning in the form of good relations between humans and God, humans with fellow communities, humans with the nature where they live, and humans with their ancestors.
