Abstract: Herein, a combined multipoint picking scheme was proposed, and the sizes of the end of the bud picker were selectively designed. Firstly, the end of the bud picker was abstracted as a fixed-size picking box, and it was assumed that the tea buds in the picking box have a certain probability of being picked. Then, the picking box coverage and the greedy algorithm were designed to make as few numbers of picking box set as possible to cover all buds to reduce the numbers of picking. Furthermore, the Graham algorithm and the minimum bounding box were applied to fine-tune the footholds of each picking box in the optimal coverage picking box set, so that the buds were concentrated in the middle of the picking boxes as much as possible. Moreover, the geometric center of each picking box was taken as a picking point, and the ant colony algorithm was used to optimize the picking path of the end of the bud picker. Finally, by analyzing the influence of several parameters on the picking performance of the end of the bud picker, the optimal sizes of the picking box were calculated successfully under different conditions. The experimental results showed that the average picking numbers of the combined multipoint picking scheme were reduced by 31.44%, the shortest picking path was decreased by 11.10%, and the average consumed time was reduced by 50.92% compared to the single-point picking scheme. We believe that the proposed scheme can provide key technical support for the subsequent design of intelligent bud-picking robots.

Abstract: Separation of cells is a critical process for studying cell properties, disease diagnostics, and therapeutics. Cell sorting by acoustic waves offers a means to separate cells on the basis of their size and physical properties in a label-free, contactless, and biocompatible manner. The separation sensitivity and efficiency of currently available acoustic-based approaches, however, are limited, thereby restricting their widespread application in research and health diagnostics. In this work, we introduce a unique configuration of tilted-angle standing surface acoustic waves (taSSAW), which are oriented at an optimally designed inclination to the flow direction in the microfluidic channel. We demonstrate that this design significantly improves the efficiency and sensitivity of acoustic separation techniques. To optimize our device design, we carried out systematic simulations of cell trajectories, matching closely with experimental results. Using numerically optimized design of taSSAW, we successfully separated 2- and 10-µm-diameter polystyrene beads with a separation efficiency of ∼99%, and separated 7.3- and 9.9-µm-polystyrene beads with an efficiency of ∼97%. We illustrate that taSSAW is capable of effectively separating particles–cells of approximately the same size and density but different compressibility. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the present technique for biological–biomedical applications by sorting MCF-7 human breast cancer cells from nonmalignant leukocytes, while preserving the integrity of the separated cells. The method introduced here thus offers a unique route for separating circulating tumor cells, and for label-free cell separation with potential applications in biological research, disease diagnostics, and clinical practice.

Abstract: Due to the low detection precision and poor robustness, the traditional pig-posture and behavior detection method is difficult to apply in the complex pig captivity environment. In this regard, we designed the HE-Yolo (High-effect Yolo) model, which improves the Darknet-53 feature extraction network and integrates DAM (Dual attention mechanism) of channel attention mechanism and space attention mechanism, to recognize the posture behaviors of the enclosure pigs in real-time. First, the pig data set is clustered and optimized by the K-means algorithm to obtain a new anchor frame size. Second, the DSC (Depthwise separable convolution) and h-switch activation function are innovatively introduced into the Darknet-53 feature extraction network, and the C-Res (Contrary residual structure) unit is designed to build Darknet-A feature extraction network, so as to avoid network gradient explosion and ensure the integrity of feature information. Subsequently, DAM integrating the spatial attention mechanism and the channel attention mechanism is established, and it is further combined with the Incep-abate module to form DAB (Dual attention block), and HE-Yolo is finally built by Darknet-A and DAB. A total of 2912 images of 46 enclosure pigs are divided into the training set, the verification set, and the test set according to the ratio of 14 : 3:3, and the recognition performance of HE-Yolo is verified according to the parameters of the precision P, the recall R, the AP (i.e., the area of P-R curve) and the MAP (i.e., the average value of AP). The experiment results show that the AP values of HE-Yolo reach 99.25%, 98.41%, 94.43%, and 97.63%, respectively, in the recognition of four pig-posture behaviors of standing, sitting, prone and sidling of the test set. Compared with other models such as Yolo v3, SSD, and faster R–CNN, the mAP value of HE-Yolo is increased by 5.61%, 4.65%, and 0.57%, respectively, and the single-frame recognition time of HE-Yolo is only 0.045 s. In the recognition of images with foreign body occlusion and pig adhesion, the mAP values of HE-Yolo are increased by 4.04%, 4.94%, and 1.76%, respectively, while compared with other models. Under different lighting conditions, the mAP value of HE-Yolo is also higher than that of other models. The experimental results show that HE-Yolo can recognize the pig-posture behaviors with high precision, and it shows good generalization ability and luminance robustness, which provides technical support for the recognition of pig-posture behaviors and real-time monitoring of physiological health of the enclosure pigs.

Abstract: Large‐scale, high‐quality, and uniform monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) films are crucial for their applications in next‐generation electronics and optoelectronics. Epitaxy is a mainstream technique for achieving high‐quality MoS 2 films and is demonstrated at a wafer scale up to 4‐in. In this study, the epitaxial growth of 8‐in. wafer‐scale highly oriented monolayer MoS 2 on sapphire is reported as with excellent spatial homogeneity, using a specially designed vertical chemical vapor deposition (VCVD) system. Field effect transistors (FETs) based on the as‐grown 8‐in. wafer‐scale monolayer MoS 2 film are fabricated and exhibit high performances, with an average mobility and an on/off ratio of 53.5 cm 2 V −1 s −1 and 10 7 , respectively. In addition, batch fabrication of logic devices and 11‐stage ring oscillators are also demonstrated, showcasing excellent electrical functions. This work may pave the way of MoS 2 in practical industry‐scale applications.

Abstract: At present, citrus is mainly harvested manually with low efficiency and high cost, thereby resulting in an imminent demand for fruit-harvesting robot. Hence, recognizing and locating citrus from complex backgrounds using machine vision technology is the premise and a key technology for robots to harvest them. To accurately and immediately recognize mature citrus, this study proposes a novel method based on the Otsu adaptive threshold method and on the improved random ring method. First, a citrus region was segmented using the Otsu adaptive threshold method overthe V component of the Luminance Chrominance (YUV) color space, extracting then the real citrus region after undergoing a de-noising processing. Second, the citrus edge was extracted using a Canny detection operator with the curvature catastrophe point removed. The short citrus edge was placed in the background to obtain the citrus edge of each segment. Lastly, the citrus feature circle was fitted for continuous citrus edge in each segment using the improved random ring method based on the greedy algorithm. Experiments were conducted using the citrus images in various real scenarios. Results demonstrate that the proposed method increases the overall recognition rate of citrus to 95% with time consumption of approximately 80 ms. The proposed method improves the recognition efficiency, enhances the accuracy of citrus recognition, and provides technical support for fruit-harvesting robots. Lastly, the proposed method can be generalized to the location and recognizition of other similar fruits, thereby providing significant research value. Abstract: Designing highly efficient and low-cost electrocatalysts is of great importance in the fields of energy conversion and storage. We report on the facile synthesis of a single atom (SA) iron catalyst via the pyrolysis of a functionalized mesophase pitch. Monomers of naphthalene and indole underwent polymerization in the presence of iron chloride, which afterwards served as the pore-forming agent and iron source for the resulting catalyst. The SA-Fe@NC catalyst has a well-defined atomic dispersion of iron atoms coordinated by N-ligands in the porous carbon matrix, exhibiting excellent oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity (E1/2 = 0.89 V) that outperforms the commercial Pt/C catalyst (E1/2 = 0.84 V). Moreover, it shows better long-term stability than the Pt/C catalyst in alkaline media. This facile strategy could be employed in versatile fossil feedstock and develop promising non-platinum group metal ORR catalysts for fuel cell technologies.

Abstract: Due to the brittleness of the shale and tight reservoir and the development of natural fractures and horizontal beddings, complex fractures will be built by shear slip and tensile failure during multistaged horizontal well fracturing. Whether proppant can enter complex fractures and form effective support in main fractures and branch fractures determines conductivity of the complex fracture and stimulation effect of multistaged horizontal well fracturing. By means of discretization of disordered complex fractures, the orthogonal three-dimensional physical model of complex fractures is obtained and the complex fracture experimental device for simulating fracture complexity is developed and a complete set of proppant transport characteristic experimental device in unconventional reservoir complex fractures is formed. Combined with field parameters and lab experiments, the influence of proppant performance parameters and discharge capacity to proppant transport characteristics in complex fractures of the unconventional reservoir is studied. And on the basis of experimental results and analysis, the sensitivity analysis method is applied to analyze the influence degree of proppant transport characteristics in complex fractures of the shale or tight sandstone reservoir. The sensitivity order of influence factors is fracture morphology, proppant performance, liquid viscosity, displacement, and proppant concentration. The experimental device and research results can provide strong experimental support for the optimisation of shale or tight sandstone fracturing materials and field parameters.

Abstract: Nondestructive detection of tea’s internal quality is of great significance for the processing and storage of tea. In this study, hyperspectral imaging technology is adopted to quantitatively detect the content of tea polyphenols in Tibetan teas by analyzing the features of the tea spectrum in the wavelength ranging from 420 to 1010 nm. The samples are divided with joint x-y distances (SPXY) and Kennard-Stone (KS) algorithms, while six algorithms are used to preprocess the spectral data. Six other algorithms, Random Forest (RF), Gradient Boosting (GB), Adaptive boost (AdaBoost), Categorical Boosting (CatBoost), LightGBM, and XGBoost, are used to carry out feature extractions. Then based on a stacking combination strategy, a new two-layer combination prediction model is constructed, which is used to compare with the four individual regressor prediction models: RF Regressor (RFR), CatBoost Regressor (CatBoostR), LightGBM Regressor (LightGBMR) and XGBoost Regressor (XGBoostR). The experimental results show that the newly-built Stacking model predicts more accurately than the individual regressor prediction models. The coefficients of determination Rc2 andRp2 for the prediction of Tibetan tea polyphenols are 0.9709 and 0.9625, and the root mean square error RMSEC and RMSEP are 0.2766 and 0.3852 for the new model, respectively, which shows that the content of Tibetan tea polyphenols can be determined with precision.
