Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of superovulation induction through Pregnant Mare’s Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG) and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) injection to increased birth number in Campbell’s hamsters (Phodopus campbelli). This study used 10 unpregnant female Campbell’s hamster, aged 4-6 months, weighing of 25-30 grams. Hamsters were divided into K1 and K2, each consist of five hamsters. K1 injected with 1 ml physiologic NaCl, while K2 intraperitoneally injected with PMSG and hCG in 5 IU. Mating was held after injection. Male and female hamsters were put in one box with ration of 1:1. The observation of vagina plug was done in order to confirm whether the mating successes or not. The average amount of fetus birth through superovulation on K1 and K2 were 3.40±1.3 and 7.80±1.1, respectively. In conclusion, the superovulation induction using the combination of PMSG and hCG increase birth number on Campbell’s hamsters.

Abstract: AIM: This study aimed to observe the cyclooxygenase-2 expression and its correlation with tumour size and lymph node involvement in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. METHODS: This study was cross-sectional, that enrolled 126 samples diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Haji Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan, Indonesia which fulfilled the inclusion criteria. RESULTS: Based on this study, we found that the age peak incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients about a 41-60-year-old group (57.1%), dominated by men (71.4%). Through histopathological examination, non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma is the most predominant type (79.4%). We also found T3 is the most prevalent primary tumour size (32.5%) with prominent lymph node involvement N3 (45.2%), and stage IV (54.8%). Cyclooxygenase-2 overexpression is prevalent among nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma (81.1%), T3 primary tumour size (41.1%), N3 node involvement (60.0%), and IV clinical stage (71.6%). In addition, we found a significant relationship between cyclooxygenase-2 expressions towards tumor size (p 〈 0.001) and lymph node involvement (p 〈 0.001) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. CONCLUSION: It is proved that the overexpression of cyclooxygenase-2 will increase the susceptibility of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients having advanced primary tumour size and lymph node involvement.

Abstract: 〈 p 〉 〈 em 〉 School Operational Assistance (BOS) has an important contribution to increase access to education in Indonesia. Deli Serdang Regency is a district that has a large number of residents, schools and students with a large number of schools and students, so sometimes the budget funds for BOS funds are not sufficient to provide all schools with the total number of students listed in the madrasah emission data. With the lack of government budget for BOS funds, a cut in the distribution of BOS funds was carried out in each school which was usually done manually by only looking at the number of students registered in the EMI data and determining the percentage of distribution of BOS funds to each school regardless of the needs that must be met at the school. In this final project, the researcher makes a data mining system for determining the amount of distribution of BOS funds in Deli Serdang Regency, this system is built using the Naive Bayes algorithm as a means of calculating BOS funds according to predetermined criteria, this system uses the PHP programming language using the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL as database method used in this system is waterfall. This system was built with the aim of making it easier to distribute and so that the distribution of BOS funds is right on target to schools in need. 〈 /em 〉 〈 /p 〉
