Abstract: Aravind Adiga is one of the assertive Indian novelists who retaliate to the issues of social realism on the canvas of Indian literature. India gained its independence in 1947. Even after the decennary, millions of Indians worried about the lack of basic utilities and rights. The White Tiger is about a fascinating, angry and brutishly absurd voyage of protagonist Balram from an Indian village to a successful businessman. He was aggravated by the unethical society. The poor are aggregated with the chickens who are kept in the Rooster Coop. The White Tiger symbolizes power, freedom and individuality. The White Tiger is a metaphor used for Balram for its intelligence, but despite his intelligence, he is unable to pursue his education further because of the economic condition. He finds his way out of this darkness by murdering his master Ashok and stealing his money. The researcher has approached and analyzed Aravind Adiga’s The White Tiger from the Speciesism perspective to develop the argument of the study. The research is precisely based upon speciesism given by Richard Ryder in 1970 on the principle of racism and sexism. Speciesism is discriminating against one group on the basis of their race and sex.

Abstract: Decisions regarding neutralizing airborne threats in the combat environment require comprehensive knowledge of resources at hand and enemy intentions. The complexity of the situation has resulted in the emergence of various models encompassing important factors of threat neutralization. Various characteristics of airborne threats considered important for their assessment have already been identified in previous literature, which include speed, distance, approach angle, maneuverability, and so on. Due to the possible extent of loss to critical assets, literature has emphasized on identifying as many useful characteristics of threats as possible. This study is also a step in this direction to improve the weapon assignment for threat neutralization. Weapon assignment based on a well-calculated threat index is a key to success in military conflicts. The purpose of this article is to identify new factors through the involvement of experts. In this study, a set of factors has been identified through a survey of relevant literature and semi-structured interviews followed by its refinement through a three-round Delphi study. The results suggest that airborne threats are considered different from other threats due to their lethality and consequences. The top-level decision-makers require a comprehensive understanding of the criticality of the situation and the effects of poor decisions. Besides other factors, weapon stock, supply chain information, and analysis of vulnerable assets/points in threat neutralization are critical to accomplish higher efficiency. The shortlisted factors yield a foundation of a comprehensive framework for decision making in a highly dynamic environment of air defense.

Abstract: Teacher empowerment strategies are essential for a positive organizationalidentity. School heads are expected to use a variety of empowermenttechniques to maximize the potential of their faculty members, inspire themin various ways, and motivate them to work. The current study intends toinvestigate the teacher empowerment strategies of secondary school headsin Punjab, Pakistan. A study was based on a qualitative research design. The semi-structured interview protocol was used to collect data. Apurposive sampling technique was used. The sample was comprised of 57secondary school teachers. Data were analyzed through the thematicanalysis technique. The findings show that school heads have given theirstaff members greater autonomy by fostering opportunities for group decision-making, praising employees for good work, increasing self-efficacy, and promoting effective teacher collaboration. However, school heads have less focus on professional growth opportunities, supportingteachers' autonomy, and improving their status.

Abstract: This paper examines the use of videos of Student Teachers' (STs') classrooms to develop their noticing skills as teachers in the Pakistani context. Data were collected from twenty-four students during two teaching practicums in the VII and VIII semesters of a four-year B.Ed program offered in Pakistan’s public university. Analysis of STs' videos, reflections, and classroom observations show that the STs focused on discipline issues in their classroom during the VII semester. The following semester increased attention to their teaching was observed in very few STs. In addition, none of the STs focused on students' thinking in the classroom or connected events directly with larger principles of teaching per se. The findings highlight the importance of using videos to develop necessary skills in prospective teachers and underscore the significance of developing faculty members professionally who teach B.Ed programs with new ideas of teaching and learning

Abstract: Inherent uncertainties in demand and supply make it problematic for supply chains to accomplish optimum inventory replenishment, resulting in loss of sales or keeping excessive inventories. To cope with erratic demands, organizations have to maintain excessive inventory levels, sometimes taking up to one-third of an organization’s annual budget. The two most pressing concerns to handle in inventory management are: how much to order and when to order. Therefore, an organization ought to make the correct and timely decisions based on precise demand information to avoid excessive inventory accumulation resulting in enhanced competitive advantage. Owing to the significance of inventory control and analysis, this paper reports on developing and successfully implementing a hybrid framework for optimum level inventory forecasting in Technical Services Organizations. The proposed framework is based on a case study of one of Pakistan’s leading Technical Services Organization. The paper presents a statistical analysis of historical data and a comprehensive fault trend analysis. Both these analyses set a solid foundation for the formulation of a comparative analysis matrix based upon price and quantity based analysis of inventory. Finally, a decision criterion (Forecasting Model) is proposed using three primary forecasting techniques with minimum error calculations. The study’s finding shows a forecast error of 142.5 million rupees in the last five years, resulting in the accumulation of more than 25 thousand excessive inventory stock. Application of price and quantity based analysis identifies that 65% of the annual budget is significantly dependent upon only 9% (in terms of quantity) of "High Price and Small Quantity" Items (HS). These HS items are forecasted through three different forecasting methods, i.e., Weighted Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing, and Trend Projection, with Minimum Absolute Deviation to significantly reduce the forecasting error while predicting the future required quantity. The research work aims to contribute to the inventory management literature in three ways. First, a new comparative analysis matrix concept for identifying the most critical items is introduced. Second, a Multi-Criteria Forecasting Model is developed to capture a wide range of operations. Third, the paper suggests how these forecasting criteria can be integrated into a single interactive DSS to maintain optimum inventory level stock. Even though the DSS framework is based on data from a single organization, the application is expected to manage inventory stock in a wide range of manufacturing and services industries. This study’s proposed hybrid framework is the first of its kind that encapsulates all four dimensions of inventory classification criteria, forming a multi-criteria hybrid model within a DSS framework.
