Abstract:
What's New? The molecules regulating aggressive cancer progression may promote chemoresistance, in addition to enabling the metastatic process. In this study, the authors demonstrate that a key mediator of gastric cancer metastasis and chemoresistance, RhoGDI2, could enhance VEGF‐C expression through Rac1 activation to modulate the important features of aggressive gastric cancer. This observation suggests that molecular targeting of VEGF‐C may inhibit the metastasis and increase the sensitivity to chemotherapy of RhoGDI2‐expressing gastric cancer cells.
