    Abstract: ABSTRACTPangkil Village is one of the villages located in Teluk Bintan District, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province which has potential for seagrass resources, especially the type of Enhalus acoroides. This study aims to examine the growth response of seagrass E. acoroides to differences in water quality in the waters of Pangkil Village. This research was conducted in September to November 2020. The stations in sampling site was determined by purposive sampling method, there were 4 sampling stations, namely: shipping activity, boat mooring activities, catching shellfish activity, and no activity of the community (mangrove area). The measurement of the growth rate of seagrass leaves was useds the marking method on young and undamaged leaves using a cable tie. Leaf growth was observation for 60 days with intervals of 15 days. The water quality in Pangkil Village Waters meets quality standards. The highest density value of Enhalus acoroides seagrass was in the shipping activity of 64.67 ind/m2. The highest growth rate of seagrass after 60 days on Enhalus acoroides seagrass leaves was in the boat mooring activity area with value 0.401 cm/day, while the lowest growth rate of Enhalus acoroides leaves was in the area of catching shellfish activity of 0.383 cm/day.Keywords: Enhalus acoroides. density, growth rate, Pangkil WatersABSTRAKDesa Pangkil merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Teluk Bintan, Kabupaten Bintan, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau yang memiliki potensi sumberdaya lamun, khususnya jenis Enhalus acoroides. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat respon pertumbuhan jenis lamun E. acoroides terhadap perbedaan kualitas air di Perairan Desa Pangkil. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September-November 2020. Penentuan stasiun ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling, terdapat 4 stasiun pengambilan sampel yaitu: stasiun 1 merupakan wilayah perairan dengan aktivitas pelayaran (dermaga), stasiun 2 merupakan wilayah aktivitas tambatan perahu (jatty), stasiun 3 merupakan wilayah adanya aktivitas penduduk tangkap kerang, dan stasiun 4 merupakan wilayah tidak ada aktivitas penduduk (wilayah mangrove). Pengukuran laju pertumbuhan daun lamun mengunakan metode penandaan pada daun yang muda dan tidak rusak menggunakaan kabel ties. Pengamatan pertumbuhan daun selama 60 hari dengan interval waktu 15 hari sekali. Kualitas perairan fisika dan kimia di Desa Pangkil memenuhi baku mutu. Nilai kerapatan lamun Enhalus acoroides tertinggi pada berada pada aktivitas pelayaran (dermaga) sebesar 64,67 ind/m2.  Laju pertumbuhan lamun tertinggi setelah 60 hari pada daun lamun Enhalus acoroides yaitu pada wilayah aktivitas tambatan perahu (jatty) sebesar 0,401 cm/hari, sedangkan laju pertumbuhan daun lamun Enhalus acoroides terendah dapat wilayah aktivitas penduduk berupa aktivitas penangkapan kerang  sebesar 0,383 cm/hari.Kata kunci: Enhalus acoroides, kerapatan, laju pertumbuhan, Perairan Pangkil.

    Abstract: Macrobrachium malayanum (J. Roux, 1935) is a freshwater prawn occuring in Senggarang Water Flow, Tanjungpinang City, Riau Island, Indonesia. Least concern (LC) status of the IUCN red list threatened species and limited research about this species in Senggarang Water Flow cause this basic research is important to do. The objectives of the study were to examine the length-weight relationship of the M. malayanum in Senggarang Water Flow, Tanjungpinang City, Riau Island Province, Indonesia. A total of 84 samples were used in this study consist of 32 samples in February and 52 samples in April. Length-weight relationship of M. malayanum in February was W= 0.093TL1.425 (R2 = 0.59) and W=0.052TL2.195 (R2 = 0.75). Samples in February and April showed negative allometric growth. A temporal analysis of the negative allometric in b value showed in April (2.195) more larger than February (1.425). Environmental parameters such as temperature, current, dissolved oxygen, pH, salinity, nitrate, and phospate are still appropriate condition. M. malayanum found in substrate type slightly gravelly sand and gravelly sand.

    Abstract: Kawal Waters is one of the waters in Bintan which has good fishery resources, one of that is the blue swimming crab. The Blue Swimming Crab (Portunus pelagicus) is one of the important economic fisheries resources belonging to the Portunidae family. The blue swimming crab is one of the most common organisms used by the community. The purpose of the study was to determine food composition of blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) in Kawal waters of Bintan Island, Riau Island on June 2021. The sampling used random sampling method. There were 34 individuals used for food composition analysis. The  food  composition  in  the  stomach  of blue  swimming  crab  consisted  of three groups of microalgae, crustacea, and detritus. The food composition in the adult size was found microalgae groups with the percentage composition 78%. It was followed by crustacea of 18,06%, and detritus of 5,12%. The highest of indeks of stomatch contens is in morning caught of 1,15 for males and 1,28 for female.

    Abstract: The objective of this study were to determine the density, the growth rate, and growth of biomass of Vallisneria gigantea. This research was conducted on May-June 2020 in a river in Senggarang, Tanjungpinang City. This research was used random sampling method of 30 points using transect quadrant (50x50 cm). The results showed that V. gigantea had a density value of 148.80 ind/m2. The growth rate of V. gigantea was 0.06 cm/day and biomass growth was 21.71 gr/m2. Light intencity was the principle component of V. gigantea’s leaf growth rate while  pH, velocity, and temperatur were principle component for growth biomass leaf.Keywords: Density; Giant Vallisneria; Growth; Macrophyte; Productivity

    Abstract: Abstract. The objective of this study was to determine the community structure of macrozoobenthic orgamism in Senggarang creek, Bintan island, Riau Islands. Samples were taken from four stations by purpossive method. Macrozoobenthic were collected by surber net, there were three replications in each station.  The result showed that  there were found six phylums and 17 genera  of macrozoobenthic. Macrobrachium sp. was the higest density. The higest density was found in third station (middle of river, no antropogenic influenced) about 140 ind m-2. The diversity and similarity indices were medium, with low dominance indice. Based on macrozoobenthic organism, the environmetal condition of Senggarang creek was stabile.Keywords: Bintan, creek, Macrobrachium sp., macrozoobenthic, Senggarang Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji struktur komunitas makrozoobenthos di aliran sungai di Senggarang, Kota Tanjungpinang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada empat stasiun yang ditentukan secara purposive. Sampel diambil menggunakan surber net, sebanyak tiga kali ulangan pada masing-masing stasiun. Makrozoobenthos yang ditemukan di perairan aliran sungai Senggarang ditemukan  6 filum dan 17 spesies. Jenis makrozoobenthos yang paling tinggi kepadatannya dari semua setiap stasiun adalah Macrobrachium sp. Kepadatan makrozoobentos tertinggi yaitu pada stasiun 3 (bagian tengah sungai, tidak ada aktivitas manusia) dengan nilai kepadatan sebesar 140 ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman tergolong sedang, indeks keseragaman sedang, indeks dominansi rendah. Berdasarkan keberadaan makrozoobenthos, lingkungan perairan sungai di Senggarang relatif stabil.Kata kunci: Bintan, Macrobrachium sp., makrozoobenthos, Senggarang, sungai

    Abstract: Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem di perairan tropis yang tergolong mudah terinfeksi penyakit karang terhadap tekanan atau perubahan lingkungan seperti pencemaran, suhu tinggi, sedimentasi, nutrien yang tinggi terutama nitrogen senyawa karbon, predator dan kompetisi dengan alga yang pertumbuhannya sangat cepat. Tujuan dari dilakukan penelitian adalah mengetahui persentase tutupan karang hidup, mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis penyakit karang dan menganalisis prevalensi karang yang terinfeksi penyakit karang di Perairan Pengudang, Pulau Bintan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November 2021 – Maret 2022, lokasi penelitian di Perairan Pengudang, Pulau Bintan. Pengambilan data tutupan karang menggunakan metode Point Intersept Transect (PIT) untuk jenis dan prevalensi penyakit karang metode transek sabuk (belt transect). Hasil penelitian persentase tutupan karang hidup (HC) sebesar 56%-75% berdasarkan KEPMEN LH nomor 4 tahun 2001 dalam kategori baik. Untuk penyakit karang yang ditemukan terdiri dari black band disease (BBD), brown band disease (BrB), dark spots disease (DSD), yellow band disease (YBD) dan white syndromes (WS) dari lima penyakit tersebut, persentase prevalensi penyakit karang sebersar 4,67%-9,07%, kemudian untuk kepadatan penyakit karang yang paling banyak ditemukan terdapat pada (St-2) sebesar 0,320 koloni/m2, kemudian diikuti (St-3) sebesar 0,300 koloni/m2 dan nilai terendah untuk kepadatan dari 3 stasiun terdapat pada (St-1) sebesar 0,220 koloni/m2. Coral reefs are one of the ecosystems in tropical waters that are classified as easily infected with coral diseases against environmental pressures or changes such as pollution, high temperatures, sedimentation, high nutrients, especially nitrogen carbon compounds, predators and competition with algae that grow very fast. The purpose of the research was to determine the percentage of live coral cover, identify the types of coral disease and analyze the prevalence of coral infected with coral disease in the waters of Pengudang, Bintan Island.. The research was conducted in November 2021 to March 2022, the research location is in the waters of Pengudang, Bintan Island. Coral cover data were collected using the Point Intercept Transect (PIT) method, for the type and prevalence of coral disease using the belt transect method. The results of the study showed that the percentage of live coral cover (HC) was 56%-75% based on KEPMEN LH number 4 of 2001 in the good category. For coral diseases found consisting of black band disease (BBD), brown band disease (BrB), dark spots disease (DSD), yellow band disease (YBD) and white syndromes (WS) of the five diseases, the percentage of coral disease prevalence is 4.67%-9.07%, then for the density of coral disease the most commonly found was at (St-2) of 0.320 colonies/m2, then followed by (St-3) of 0.300 colonies/m2 and the lowest value was for the density of the 3 stations was at (St-1) of 0.220 colonies/m2.

    Abstract: Salah satu krustasea yang ditangkap oleh nelayan Senggarang di Perairan Dompak, Kota Tanjungpinang adalah kepiting merah (Thalamita spinimana). Kajian morfometrik dan meristik kepiting merah belum banyak dilakukan. Kepastian karakter morfometrik dan meristik dapat menjadi penciri dari kapastian taksonomi suatu spesies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat karakteristik morfometrik dan meristik kepiting merah di Perairan Dompak, Kota Tanjungpinang, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan mengikuti trip nelayan Senggarang yang menangkap kepiting merah menggunakan bubu di Perairan Dompak pada Bulan April dan Mei 2022, dengan metode sensus (mengambil semua sampel yang tertangkap). Pertumbuhan kepiting merah betina terdapat 1 karakter yang bersifat allometrik positif yaitu antara lebar karapas dengan bobot, selebihnya sembilan karakter lainnya bersifat allometrik negatif. Sedangkan pertumbuhan kepiting merah jantan semuanya bersifat allometrik negatif. Status hubungan karakter morfometrik pada kepiting merah betina memiliki hubungan yang rendah, sedang, kuat dan status hubungan karakter morfometrik pada kepiting merah jantan memiliki hubungan yang sangat rendah, rendah dan sangat kuat. Perhitungan meristik pada kepiting merah terdapat jumlah duri pada propundus sebanyak 6-11 duri. Jumlah duri pada carpus 6-8 duri. Jumlah duri pada 4-6 duri. Jumlah duri pada anterolateral karapas kiri dan kanan sebanyak 5 duri.

    Abstract: Penelitian dilakukan di Perairan Dompak Kota Tanjungpinang yang merupakan salahsatu lokasi matapencaharian masyarakat dari sumberdaya perikanan tangkap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasikan komposisi, jumlah dan bobot hasil tangkapan dari penggunaan bubu lipat dengan ukuran 4 cm, 4,5 cm, 5 cm, 5,5 cm, 6 cm, dan 6,5 cm di lokasi penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Prosedur penelitian meliputi survei lapangan, pengambilan hasil tangkapan, penanganan hasil tangkapan, serta identifikasi dan analisis hasil tangkapan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan hasil tangkapan bubu ada 3 spesies yang ditemukan yaitu kepiting merah (Thalamita spinimana), kepiting okop (Myomenippe hardwikii) dan kepiting batu (Atergatis integerrimus). Hasil tangkapan pada 6 kategori ukuran mulut bubu terdapat perbedaan yang besar dilihat dari komposisi jenis tangkapan, yaitu didominasi oleh kepiting merah, sedangkan perolehan untuk kepiting batu hampir tidak ada. Perbedaan ukuran mulut bubu memperlihatkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap jumlah tangkapan dan bobot tangkapan yang dihasilkan. Tangkapan terbanyak yaitu 13 ekor dengan bobot 686,3 gr dengan penggunaan bubu 4,5 cm, dan terendah diperoleh pada bubu ukuran 6 cm dengan tangkapan sebanyak 6 ekor dan bobot 336,1 gr.
