    Abstract: Eye-liner merupakan sediaan kosmetik yang digunakan pada kulit tipis disekitar mata, oleh karena itu bahan yang terkandung didalamnya harus aman. Timbal (Pb) masuk kedalam tubuh manusia melalui jalur oral (makanan dan minuman), pernafasan, kontak melalui kulit, serta melalui parental. Efek berbahaya yang dapat ditimbulkan dari paparan logam timbal (Pb) bagi tubuh adalah sindroma abdomal, SSP, hematologi, renal dan neuromuscular. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kadar logam timbal (Pb) pada sampel Eye-liner. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA) pada panjang gelombang 283,3 nm. Sampel Eye-liner dikumpulkan sebanyak 5 sampel dengan metode Purposive Sampling dimana kriteria yang ditentukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Eye-liner liquid, waterproof, yang seing digunakan oleh masyarakat dan dicurigai tercemar oleh logam berat timbal (Pb). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kadar timbal (Pb) masing-masing sampel adalah, sampel A sebanyak 2,2215 mg/kg, sampel B sebanyak 0,9226 mg/kg, sampel C sebanyak 18,7713 mg/kg, sampel D sebanyak 1,2215 mg/kg, dan sampel E sebanyak 5,7021 mg/kg. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelima sampel tersebut masih berada di bawah batas maksimum yang ditentukan yakni 20 ppm (20 mg/kg) menurut BPOM, sehingga masih dikategorikan aman untuk digunakan.

    Abstract: Manggala District is one of the sub-districts in Makassar City which often faces cases of Dengue Fever. Dengue fever is a disease transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The breeding of Aedes Aegypti is increasing due to the increasingly crowded conditions of buildings and housing. These mosquitoes not only live in dirty water environments, but also in clean water such as bathtubs, water reservoirs, and others. Some community members still have limited knowledge and understanding of effective ways of dealing with dengue cases, as well as the use of plant species that can be used to repel mosquitoes. The purpose of the service is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the community about dengue fever and the use of mosquito repellent plants. The extension method is the presentation by the extension team, the discussion stage, and the evaluation stage. The results show an increase in public knowledge and understanding of dengue disease and the use of mosquito repellent plants. The conclusion is that the community finally knows the dangers of dengue disease and knows the types of mosquito repellent plants.

    Abstract: Presevatives are compounds that can inhibit and stop the process of fermentation, acidification, or other forms of damage, and protect foodstuffs from spoilage. According to the Regulation of The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 033 of 2012 concerning additives that are prohibited from being used in food are boric acid (borax), formalin, salicylic acid, and others. These dangerous preservatives are still widely used by manufacturers in the food industry, including snacks at schools. Preservatives that are prohibited for use in food can have a negative impact on heallth, namely causing nausea, vomiting, dizziness, irritation, allergies, and are carcinogenic. The problem faced is that there are still traders or manufacturers who use harmful preservatives in snacks at school. Therefore, counseling activities were carried out regarding increasing knowledge of the use of harmful preservatives in street food at SMA Negeri 14 Makassar. The method used is the approach method through lectures, disscussions and evaluations. The results of this service activity regarding students’knowledge of the types of preservatives that are dangerous in snacks at school, the characteristics of foods that contain harmful preservatives and their impact on health are ver good. Thus, it can be concluded that this community service activity has increased students’ knowledge about harmful preservatives in snacks at school.

    Abstract: Akumulasi bahan organik yang terus-menerus dalam jumlah yang cukup banyakterutama di bawah area keramba jaring apung menyebabkan aktivitas mikroba-mikroba aerob di permukaan sedimen semakin meningkat. Dalam kondisi anaerob, terjadi stimulasi pertumbuhan bakteri pereduksi polisulfide sulfur dan menghasilkan beberapa senyawa seperti H2S, HS-, dan S2- yang bersifat racun bagi ikan. Untuk itu di perairan Teluk Hurun dilakukan monitoring konsentrasi sulfide pada sedimen sebagai upaya pelaksanaan manajemen kesehatan ikan dan lingkungan. Pengambilan sampel sedimen dilakukan secara mingguan (Agustus 2003—Mei 2006) di tiga stasiun (stasiun I = 100 m dari muara sungai, stasiun II = KJA, dan stasiun III = mulut teluk), dengan alat Eijkman Grab, sedangkan untuk pengukuran konsentrasi sulfide (AVS/Acid Volately Sulphide) digunakan metode tabung detektor dengan alat Hedorotech-S (Gastech, kanagawa, Japan). Data yang diperoleh yaitu pada stasiun I konsentrasisulfide berkisar antara 0,001—0,22 mg/L; stasiun II antara 0,001—0,35 mg/L; dan stasiun III antara 0,0004—0,085 mg/L. Secara berurutan konsentrasi sulfide yang dominan tinggi yaitu stasiun II, stasiun I, dan stasiun III. Dari data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kandungan sulfide di stasiun II (area KJA) lebih tinggi, karena selain faktor eksternal juga faktor internal kegiatan budidaya di Teluk Hurun turut menyumbang degradasi sedimen.

    Abstract: Dampak dari operasional tambak intensif dan aktivitas pelayaran di wilayah pesisir adalah meningkatnya bahan cemaran di perairan pantai. Satu di antaranya yaitu Pb. Karagenan yang terdapat di dalam Eucheuma cottonii Lin berfungsi antara lain sebagai pengental, fungsi ini hampir sama dengan agar dan alginat yang terdapat pada jenis rumput lainnya yaitu dapat mengikat ion logam berat. Kegiatan rekayasa dilakukan pada skala laboratorium di ruang terbuka, menggunakan dua wadah dengan volume masing-masing 50 liter. Satu wadah diisi dengan air laut dari tandon dengan hasil pengujian awal Pb: 0,017 mg/L (bak 1). Satu wadah lagi sebagai pembanding diisi dengan air laut yang sudah ditambahkan larutan induk Pb dengan hasil pengujian awal Pb: 1,018 mg/L (bak 2). Kedua wadah tersebut masing-masing diisi dengan 250 gram bibit rumput laut, kemudian dilengkapi dengan aerasi. Hasil pengukuran minggu pertama pada bak 1 diperoleh senyawa Pb pada air laut sebesar 0 mg/L dengan demikian terjadi penyerapan sebanyak 100%, namun pada minggu kedua konsentrasi Pb naik kembali menjadi 0,008 mg/L. Sedangkan hasil pengukuran minggu pertama pada bak 2 diperoleh senyawa Pb pada air laut yaitu 0,853 mg/L atau berkurang sebesar 0,165 mg/L demikian terjadi penyerapan sebanyak 16,11%; dan pada minggu kedua kandungan Pb menjadi 0,811 mg/L atau berkurang sebesar 0,042 mg/L dari kandungan minggu pertama dengan persentase penyerapan menjadi 4,8%. Sebagai data pendukung diukur juga beberapa parameter kualitas air lainnya, seperti: DO, pH, salinitas, suhu, nitrit, dan amonia. Selain nilai konsentrasi Pb mengalami penurunan, senyawa N seperti nitrit dan amoniak juga mengalami penurunan. Berdasarkan pengujian di atas Eucheuma cottonii Lin mempunyai kemampuan untuk menyerap unsur Pb dalam air laut.

    Abstract: Coastal water is water areas that receive much input of organic matter originating from human activities on land. Anthropogenic activities such as marine aquaculture in Teluk Lampung impact water quality on that waters. This study was conducted to determine the distribution of water quality around Teluk Lampung and its correlations to marine aquaculture activities. The analysis carried out in this study is spatial analysis to determine the spatial distribution of water quality in three focus area, namely Teluk Hurun (HB), Selatan Teluk Hurun (SHB) dan Pantai Sari Ringgung (SRB) as part of Teluk Lampung. In addition to spatial analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) was also carried out to determine water quality as a variable and its correlation to each area. Based on the results of this study, the spatial distribution of water quality varies based on the human activities type in each area. Based on the results of principal component analysis, it is known that the variability of several water quality variables also correlates with the human activities types, such as marine aquaculture and beach tourism.

    Abstract: This study was a research and development which aimed to develop an academic anxiety questionnaire for students through content validity and construct validity testing using ADDIE model. This research involved 205 students in the first trial phase and 220 students in the second trial phase. They were selected using the cluster random sampling method. The data were collected using a survey method by distributing the questionnaires using the google form. The results showed that the academic anxiety questionnaire was developed by containing the dimensions of cognitive symptoms, emotional symptoms, and physical symptoms. The coefficient of content validity through the Aiken's V by four experts for each item was more than 0.200, while the reliability was 0.893. The first trial phase showed that eight items dropped through the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with Construct Reliability (CR) and Variance Extracted (VE) values ​​for each measurement model were 0.881 and 0.202, while the CR and VE values for the structural model ​​were 0.888 and 0.730. The second trial phase showed that four items dropped with the CR and VE values ​​for the measurement model were 0.873 and 0.213, while the CR and VE values ​​ for the structural model were 0.956 and 0.880. The final academic anxiety questionnaire contains 27 items with a modified Likert scale (four choices).

    Abstract: Melihat banyaknya limbah yang menumpuk dan hanya menjadi masalah lingkungan karena pembuangannya tidak sesuai prosedur serta semakin berkembangnya kebutuhan masyarakat akan kosmetik yang tetap aman digunakan dalam jangka waktu lama, maka peneliti mengoptimalkan limbah rumah tangga dari kulit buah-buahan seperti kulit pisang sebagai peluang berwirausaha dengan menjadikannya produk masker dengan kandungan yang sangat baik bagi kulit manusia. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat membangkitkan jiwa berwirausaha masyarakat dengan melihat kondisi dan situasi di sekitar tanpa harus menggunakan modal yang banyak untuk menjadikannya sebagai peluang dan membuat industri kreatif dari sesuatu yang masyarakat anggap sebagai sesuatu yang tidak memiliki nilai jual tinggi tetapi sebenarnya masih sangat bermanfaat bagi manusia. Dengan cara ini masyarakat bisa ikut membantu mengurangi limbah rumah tangga dengan mengoptimalkannya.

    Abstract: This article intends to know and understand the development of concepts, objectives, methods, results and evaluation of internalization of BVSA in IPMAFA Pati. Today’s global world moves by bringing change more quickly and competitively, various fields experience shifts and challenges, including moral and moral crises in higher education institutions. Character education comes as a solution to the problem of morality, which we often encounter in various boarding schools. The Mathali’ul Falah Pati Boarding School in Central Java is an Islamic tertiary institution that synergizes with Ma‘had al-Jāmi‘ah. It has the concept of the Basic Values of Sālih Akram (BVSA) as an effort to prepare generations who have good professionalism and morality. This article was prepared using a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data collection methods used is field observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the BVSA concept is values derived from Islamic boarding schools, which are being developed by IPMAFA Pati and become a scientific paradigm. The internalization of BVSA in IPMAFA Pati and Ma‘had al-Jāmi‘ah is Integration, Interconnection, and Insertion by taking into account the ten principles of BVSA. The results of BVSA internalization in IPMAFA Pati are that students are the regulations made by IPMAFA Pati, which influence them to be aware and understand how to become a generation that has good morals. Evaluation of BVSA internalization of IPMAFA students is based on an assessment of the cognitive and affective domains that appear in the Study Plan Card and Study Result Card.
