Abstract:
No hay informes que hayan comparado la eficacia terapéutica clínica de fluconazol e itraconazol en la dermatitis canina por Malassezia . Objetivos El estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar la eficacia terapéutica clínica de fluconazol y Itraconazol y evaluar los efectos adversos del fluconazol en la dermatitis canina por Malassezia . Animales Sesenta y un perros de propietarios particulares con dermatitis por Malassezia . Materiales y Métodos Los animales inscritos se dividieron aleatoriamente en grupos que recibieron 5 mg/kg de fluconazol (5FZ), 10 mg/kg de fluconazol (10FZ) o 5 mg/kg de itraconazol (5IZ). Los fármacos se administraron por vía oral una vez al día durante 28 días. El examen citológico, la puntuación del índice clínico (CIS), la evaluación de la escala análoga visual del prurito (PVAS) y el análisis de sangre (solo para 5FZ) se realizaron en los días (D) 0, D14 y D28. Resultados El día 14, se observaron reducciones significativas en el recuento medio de levaduras (MYC), CIS y PVAS en 5FZ (n = 20, p 〈 0,01), 10FZ (n = 17, p 〈 0,01) y 5IZ (n = 16), p 〈 0,05) grupos. En los tres grupos, se observó una reducción significativa ( p 〈 0,001) en la expresión de MYC, CIS y PVAS en el D28. No hubo diferencias significativas en el porcentaje de reducción de MYC, CIS y PVAS entre los grupos. Además, hubo una diferencia significativa ( p 〈 0,05) en cada grupo entre D14 y D28, excepto por la reducción porcentual en MYC en los grupos 10FZ y 5IZ. No se observaron efectos adversos del fluconazol en los grupos 5FZ o 10FZ. Conclusiones y relevancia clínica Este estudio indica que 5FZ y 10FZ son tan efectivos como itraconazol en la dermatitis canina por Malassezia .
