Abstract: The growing awareness of the negative impact of using inorganic fertilizers on the environment in a small number of rice farmers has made them switch from conventional to organic farming. So far, economic research on the application of organic fertilizers has been widely carried out in irrigated rice fields. Economic research on the application of organic fertilizer use in tidal and lebak land areas has not been widely carried out. Differences in land types are expected to affect the amount of use of organic fertilizers and are also thought to affect production yields and income levels. The purpose of this study was to analyze the reduction in the use of inorganic fertilizers for rice farmers using organic fertilizers and their marginal substitution, as well as the impact of using organic fertilizers on the costs and income of rice farmers using organic fertilizers in tidal and lebak land. This research was conducted in Telang Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District and Sako Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Data was collected in April 2021. The research method was a survey with proportional stratified random sampling. The results showed that (1) the highest reduction of inorganic fertilizer in tidal land was 65.4 percent, while in lebak land it was 57.6 percent; the cost of production factors in tidal and lebak and areas increased by 4.94% and 18.56%; The income of rice farmers in lebak land increased by 60.58%, while on tidal land it was only 32.94%, (2) The marginal substitution of organic fertilizers to inorganic fertilizers was -2.61 and -5.68, (3) The use of these factors production for farmers who use organic fertilizers in both tidal and lebak land have not been efficien yett. The use of factors of production must be increased to obtain optimal profits.

Abstract: Researchs related to purun ( Heleocharisfistula ) economic development should be encouraged for peatland sustainability. For long time, purun crafting was marketed traditionally only to traders who already have closebonding to the crafters. So, the research objective were (1) to evaluate the marketing performance, and (2) to design the marketing model’s plan of purun. This research was conducted in Pedamaran Area, Ogan Komering Ilir on September 2017. The result showed the performance of marketing of purun agroindustry in Pedamaran area has not yet all have a level of performance that corresponds to the importance of all marketing actors. There are gaps between performances and importances of marketing performance for atbributes, i.e. commitment in cooperation, profit, sales, prices, information, and skills improvement. The marketing model’s plan of purun are (1) building cooperative institution formally, (2) improving inputs for increasing profit, and (3) introducing e-commerce.

Abstract: In this study, heavy precipitation in the form of bow echo is observed, identified, and tracked using a rain scanner and optical flow method. Two case studies of bow echoes with a range of properties from 15 to 33 km were observed in the afternoon on 1st February and 4th February 2021. The rain scanner developed based on X-band radar could obtain the first detection of the bow echo shape. The difference between these two bow echoes events is from their initiation. The first bow echo cases are initiated from weakly organized cells. Meanwhile, the second case of bow echo is initiated from a squall line event. Bow echo is initially observed in the western part of Bandung city. Approximately twenty minutes after the first detection, the bow echo passed the center of Bandung city. Image processing using edge detection could track the bow echo from the radar data. Applied Lucas-Kanade optical flow was then used to retrieve the bow echo movement. Vector flow from optical flow showed the dominant movement toward the east direction in both case studies. A simple method to predict the incoming time of the bow echo using the estimated speed from vector flow and the image translation is also presented.

Abstract: Indonesia is a tropical maritime country that has high complexity in terms of atmospheric dynamics. Understanding of atmospheric conditions is very important to obtain valid knowledge and atmospheric models. This understanding can be obtained through adequate data support. Vertical atmospheric data is very limited so it is necessary to develop equipment to be able to measure and provide valid data. one of the equipment used to measure the atmosphere vertically is called radiosonde. The development of this radiosonde has been carried out by various parties, one of them by PSTA LAPAN. This development is focused on the antenna system and the accuracy of the temperature data received. The antenna that is designed is an Omni 5/8λ antenna integrated with LNA. Receiving radiosonde data using antenna up to a height of 36 km. The temperature data that has been obtained is validated using radiosonde Vaisala and Meisei data. The temperature analysis is done by using Mean Bias Error (MBE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). After being compared with the reference data, the RMSE values of 1.2 and MBE 2.3 were obtained with a correlation of 0.9. From these results it can be seen that the temperature data obtained is in accordance with atmospheric conditions, so this temperature sensor can be used for vertical atmospheric measurements.
