    Abstract: In Vietnam, since 2015, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam has decided to abolish university entrance exams and advocates the use of high school graduation exam results of candidates for admission to go to universities. The 2015 and 2016 exam questions for the Math exam are the essay questions. From 2017 up to now, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam has applied the form of multiple-choice exams for Mathematics in the high school graduation exam. There are many mixed opinions about the impact of this form of examination and admission on the quality of university students. In particular, the switch from the form of essay examination to multiple-choice exams led the entire Vietnam Mathematical Association at that time to send recommendations on continuing to maintain the form of essay examination for mathematics. The purposes of this article are analysis and evaluation the effects of relevant factors on the academic performance of advanced math students of university students, and offer solutions to optimize university entrance exam. The data set was provided by Training Management Department and Training Quality Control and Testing Laboratory of the University of Finance – Marketing. This dataset includes information about math high school graduation test scores, learning process scores (scores assessed by direct instructors), and advanced math course end test scores of 2834 students in courses from 2015 to 2019. Linear and non-linear regression machine learning models were used to solve the tasks given in this article. An analysis of the data was conducted to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of the change in university enrollment of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. Tools from the Python libraries have been supported and used effectively in the process of solving problems. Through building and surveying the model, there are suggestions and solutions to problems in enrollment and input quality assurance. Specifically, in the preparation of entrance exams, the entrance exam questions should not exceed 61-66 % of multiple choice questions.

    Abstract: A cell-based smoothed discrete shear gap method (CS-DSG3) using three-node triangular elements was recently proposed to improve the performance of the discrete shear gap method (DSG3) for static and free vibration analyses of isotropic Reissner-Mindlin plates and shells. In this paper, the CS-DSG3 is further extended for static and free vibration analyses of laminated composite shells. In the present method, the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is used in the formulation due to the simplicity and computational efficiency. The accuracy and reliability of the proposed method are verified by comparing its numerical solutions with those of others available numerical results.

    Abstract: Mục tiêu: Mô tả thực trạng và một số yếu tố cá nhân, gia đình liên quan đến hoạt động thể lực củasinh viên Trường Đại học Tây Bắc năm học 2020-2021.Phương pháp nghiên cứu: Mô tả cắt ngang có phân tích trên 832 sinh viên Trường Đại học Tây Bắc.Kết quả nghiên cứu: Tỷ lệ đủ hoạt động thể lực là 54,4%, tỷ lệ thiếu hoạt động thể lực là 45,6%.Trong đó có 24,6% sinh viên hoạt động thể lực ở mức tích cực, 29,8% hoạt động ở mức trung bìnhvà 45,6% hoạt động thấp. Tỷ lệ thiếu hoạt động thể lực ở nữ là 50,5% trong khi ở nam là 38,1%. Cómối liên quan giữa mức độ hoạt động thể lực của sinh viên với một số yếu tố như: giới tính (p 〈 0,001),dân tộc (p 〈 0,001), khu vực sống (p 〈 0,001), năm học (p 〈 0,001) và yếu tố gia đình, bạn bè.Kết luận: Tỷ lệ thiếu hoạt động thể lực của sinh viên Trường Đại học Tây Bắc là 45,6%, đủ hoạtđộng thể lực là 54,4%. Các yếu tố liên quan đến hoạt động thể lực được ghi nhận là giới tính, dân tộc,khu vực sống của sinh viên, năm học và sự ủng hộ của gia đình, bạn bè.

    Abstract: Numerous annual slope failures are induced by heavy rainfall during the monsoons, especially in developing countries in Asia. The authors have developed a simple method to predict rising groundwater levels in natural slopes at a relatively shallow depth based on parametric studies conducted using the finite element method. An assumption of a semi-infinite homogeneous slope was adopted in the analysis. Addtionally, the authors numerically modelled the vertical infiltration and the lateral seepage flow. Using this method implies that the finite element analysis is not mandatory in the evaluations of practical slopes. Such a simplified approach helps avoid time-consuming tasks in rigorous computations. However, a semi-infinite assumption used in the developed method may provide us with unsuitable solutions, particularly in cases where the slopes include heavily terraced topography with local small cliffs, because theoretically, the first slope failure tends to occur in steep slopes, like the edge of a rice terrace, even though they are very small cliffs. Nevertheless, these local solutions do not affect the conclusions for disaster risk reduction. Moreover, such unsuitable alternatives must be eliminated during analysis. To address this matter, the current study proposes a novel concept of specific lengths. This procedure provides a representative length within the specified length range. The averaged slope gradient is defined by focusing on the secant lines between each topographical grid, while those defined outside the specified range – for example, local cliff angles – are ignored in the slope stability calculation. Consequently, the proposed concept was confirmed to be efficient and can be applied to evaluate the terraced rice fields in Sapa, northern Vietnam. In the past, this area had experienced rainfall-induced slope failures; hence, the proposed method may be able to simulate these occurences. The proposed concept’s effectiveness when applied to terraced fields should continue to be verified through case studies conducted in areas with extensive smallterraced topography.

    Abstract: Mục tiêu nghiên cứu: Mô tả đặc điểm  huyết học và tỷ lệ lưu hành gen bệnh tan máu bẩm sinh (thalassemia) ở trẻ em 3-15 tuổi tại huyện Hà Quảng, tỉnh Cao Bằng. Phương pháp nghiên cứu: Mô tả cắt ngang có phân tích trên  đối tượng là 223 trẻ em từ 3 -15 tuổi tại huyện Hà Quảng, tỉnh Cao Bằng từ tháng 9/2021 đến tháng 1/2023. Kết quả nghiên cứu: Tỷ lệ thiếu máu chung ở trẻ em 3-15 tuổi tại Hà Quảng, Cao Bằng là 18,9%; thiếu máu mức độ nặng là 0,9%, mức độ vừa là 5,8%, thiếu máu nhẹ là 12,1%; tỷ lệ thiếu máu hồng cầu nhỏ nhược sắc là 25,6%; thiếu sắt đơn thuần là 1,8%; thiếu máu thiếu sắt là 0,4%, tỷ lệ bất thường huyết sắc tố là 7,2% theo kết quả điện di; Tỷ lệ chung mang gen Thalassemia và huyết sắc tố là 24,2%. Tỷ lệ người mang gen α-thalassemia là 18,8%; β-thalassemia là 3,1%, tỷ lệ mang đồng thời gen α và β-thalassemia là 2,2%.

    Abstract: High strength elastic alloy has an important role in the manufacture of electrical equipment and machine building. Along with the development of information and telecommunications technology, the application of this alloy in electrical and electronic equipment is very increasingly. Even on boards or connectors of common electrical equipment such as computers, cell phones, these connectors are usually made of high strength elastic copper alloy. The design required features are small, precision built, with high mechanical strength and elasticity, heat resistance, abrasion and corrosion resistance in the operating environment to ensure its/the power and signal stability for a long time. The design trend is reduced in size but still assure the equipment quality is growing significantly and the corporation to manufacture equipment is researched thoroughly. Accordingly, this article presents the research results about the alloy copper with 9%Ni and 6%Sn which has the high elastic strength and elasticity properties of elastomers after heat treatment. The properties of the microstructure, hardness, conductivity, dry friction coefficient, the corrosion resistance of the alloy from which to determine the parameters for the materials selection procedure and the design of the manufacturing of magnetic contact of this alloy. The results of the study show that after heat treatment and deformation, the Cu-9Ni-6Sn has a strength of alloy up to 1200MPa, the elastic limit is 1100MPa and the conductivity is 8.4%IACS, respectively. The values ​​of this characteristic are consistent with the working conditions of the electrical contact. With the deformation process combined with the heat treatment process, the results of our research group created a single-phase homogeneous microstructure that is chemically stable with the spinodal decomposition in appropriate to the treatment of aging process. By modern methods, this paper demonstrates the durability of the alloy due to the spinodal decomposition during aging treatment at 350°C. This structure of spinodal decomposition is about 20-40nm in size, dispersed throughout the entire cross-section of the sample.

    Abstract: Đặt vấn đề: Nhiễm trùng cổ sâu là bệnh lý nguy hiểm, được điều trị bằng kháng sinh đường tĩnh mạch, phẫu thuật dẫn lưu ổ mủ và chăm sóc vết thương sau mổ. Thời gian nằm viện kéo dài làm tăng gánh nặng chi phí cho bệnh nhân nhiễm trùng cổ sâu và tiêu tốn nguồn lực y tế tại cơ sở điều trị. Mục tiêu: Khảo sát các yếu tố nguy cơ gây kéo dài thời gian nằm viện của bệnh nhân nhiễm trùng cổ sâu tại bệnh viện Chợ Rẫy từ 12/2021 đến 5/2022. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Mô tả loạt ca, ghi nhận 138 trường hợp nhiễm trùng cổ sâu được phẫu thuật rạch dẫn lưu mủ tại bệnh viện Chợ Rẫy từ 12/2021 đến 5/2022. Kết quả: Thời gian nằm viện của nhiễm trùng cổ sâu có trung vị là 8 ngày, khoảng tứ phân vị là 6- 12 ngày, phạm vi là 2- 36 ngày. Nhóm bệnh nhân có thời gian nằm viện ≥ 10 ngày có tỷ lệ cao về: ≥ 2 bệnh đồng mắc (61,8% so với 39,8%, p 〈 0,05), albumin máu thấp (43,6% so với 15,7%, p 〈 0,001) và nhiễm trùng bệnh viện (20% so với 3,6%, p 〈 0,05) so với nhóm có TGNV 〈 10 ngày. Các yếu tố nguy cơ để TGNV ≥ 10 ngày gồm khoang cổ sâu bị áp xe (OR = 1,42; 95% CI = 1,13- 1,79), nhiễm toan ceton (OR = 2,96; 95% CI = 1,12- 7,82), vết thương mủ kéo dài (OR = 5,9; 95% CI = 2,26- 15,41). Kết luận: Số khoang cổ sâu bị áp xe, nhiễm toan ceton và vết thương mủ kéo dài là các yếu tố nguy cơ gây kéo dài thời gian nằm viện.
