Abstract: At present, unmanned driving technology has made great progress, while those research on its related ethical issues, laws, and traffic regulations are relatively lagging. In particular, it is still a problem how unmanned vehicles make a decision when they encounter ethical dilemmas where traffic collision is inevitable. So it must hinder the application and development of unmanned driving technology. Firstly, 1048575 survey data collected by Moral Machine online experiment platform is analyzed to calculate the prior probability that the straight being protector or sacrificer in ethical dilemmas with single feature. Then, 116 multifeature ethical dilemmas are designed and surveyed. The collected survey data are analyzed to determine decision-making for these ethical dilemmas by adopting the majority principle and to calculate correlation coefficient between attributes, then an improved Naive Bayes algorithm based on attribute correlation (ACNB) is established to solve the problem of unmanned driving decision in multifeature ethical dilemmas. Furthermore, these ethical dilemmas are used to test and verify traditional NB, ADOE, WADOE, CFWNB, and ACNB, respectively. According to the posterior probability that the straight being protector or sacrificer in those ethical dilemmas, classification and decision are made in these ethical dilemmas. Then, the decisions based on these algorithms are compared with human decisions to judge whether these decisions are right. The test results show that ACNB and CFWNB are more consistent with human decisions than other algorithms, and ACNB is more conductive to improve unmanned vehicle’s decision robustness than NB. Therefore, applying ACNB to unmanned vehicles has a good role, which will provide a new research point for unmanned driving ethical decision and a few references for formulating and updating traffic laws and regulations related to unmanned driving technology for traffic regulation authorities.

Abstract: Two-stroke spark ignition (SI) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engines do not allow heavy knock and require a certain knock safety margin. However, weak knock can help the engine increase power output and reduce fuel consumption. To accurately extract the knock characteristics of engine vibration signals under the condition of weak knock, a signal feature extraction method based on the Mallat decomposition algorithm was proposed. Mallat decomposition algorithm can decompose the signal into two parts: a low-frequency signal and a high-frequency noise signal. The decomposed high-frequency noise is eliminated, and the low-frequency signal is retained as the characteristic domain signal. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The engine vibration signal of a two-stroke SI UAV engine was decomposed into the low-frequency signal and the high-frequency signal by the Mallat decomposition algorithm. The low-frequency signal is taken as the knock characteristic domain signal component, and the wavelet packet energy method is used to verify the correctness of the obtained signal component. The relative energy parameter is calculated by using the knock characteristic domain signal component, which can be used as the determination index of knock intensity. This method provides a reference for the weak knock control of two-stroke SI UAV engines.

Abstract: To solve the problem of the weak knock characteristic extraction for a port-injected two-stoke spark ignition (SI) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engine burning aviation kerosene fuel, which is also known as the Rocket Propellant 3 (RP-3), the Intrinsic modal Functions Energy (IMFE) method is proposed according to the orthogonality of the intrinsic modal functions (IMFs). In this method, engine block vibration signals of the two-stroke SI UAV engine are decomposed into a finite number of intrinsic modal function (IMF) components. Then, the energy weight value of each IMF component is calculated, and the IMF component with the largest energy weight value is selected as the dominant characteristic component. The knock characteristic frequency of the two-stroke SI UAV engine is obtained by analyzing the frequency spectrum of the dominant characteristic component. A simulation experiment is designed and the feasibility of the algorithm is verified. The engine block vibration signals of the two-stroke SI UAV engine at 5100 rpm and 5200 rpm were extracted by this method. The results showed that the knock characteristic frequencies of engine block vibration signals at 5100 rpm and 5200 rpm were 3.320 kHz and 3.125 kHz, respectively. The Wavelet Packet Energy method was used to extract the characteristics of the same engine block vibration signal at 5200 rpm, and the same result as the IMFE method is obtained, which verifies the effectiveness of the IMFE method.

Abstract: As an epitranscriptomic modulation manner, N 6 ‐methyladenosine (m 6 A) modification plays important roles in various diseases, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). m 6 A modification affects the fate of RNAs. The potential contributions of m 6 A to the functions of RNA still need further investigation. In this study, we identified long noncoding RNA FAM111A‐DT as an m 6 A‐modified RNA and confirmed three m 6 A sites on FAM111A‐DT. The m 6 A modification level of FAM111A‐DT was increased in HCC tissues and cell lines, and increased m 6 A level was correlated with poor survival of HCC patients. m 6 A modification increased the stability of FAM111A‐DT transcript, whose expression level showed similar clinical relevance to that of the m 6 A level of FAM111A‐DT. Functional assays found that only m 6 A‐modified FAM111A‐DT promoted HCC cellular proliferation, DNA replication, and HCC tumor growth. Mutation of m 6 A sites on FAM111A‐DT abolished the roles of FAM111A‐DT. Mechanistic investigations found that m 6 A‐modified FAM111A‐DT bound to FAM111A promoter and also interacted with m 6 A reader YTHDC1, which further bound and recruited histone demethylase KDM3B to FAM111A promoter, leading to the reduction of the repressive histone mark H3K9me2 and transcriptional activation of FAM111A . The expression of FAM111A was positively correlated with the m 6 A level of FAM111A‐DT, and the expression of methyltransferase complex, YTHDC1, and KDM3B in HCC tissues. Depletion of FAM111A largely attenuated the roles of m 6 A‐modified FAM111A‐DT in HCC. In summary, the m 6 A‐modified FAM111A‐DT/YTHDC1/KDM3B/FAM111A regulatory axis promoted HCC growth and represented a candidate therapeutic target for HCC.

Abstract: Abstract. Towards spaceborne spotlight SAR, the antenna is regulated by the SAR system with specific regularity, so the shaking of the internal mechanism is inevitable. Moreover, external environment also has an effect on the stability of SAR platform. Both of them will cause the jitter of the SAR platform attitude. The platform attitude instability will introduce antenna pointing error on both the azimuth and range directions, and influence the acquisition of SAR original data and ultimate imaging quality. In this paper, the relations between the antenna pointing errors and the three-axis attitude errors are deduced, then the relations between spaceborne spotlight SAR imaging of the point target and antenna pointing errors are analysed based on the paired echo theory, meanwhile, the change of the azimuth antenna gain is considered as the spotlight SAR platform moves ahead. The simulation experiments manifest the effects on spotlight SAR imaging caused by antenna pointing errors are related to the target location, that is, the pointing errors of the antenna beam will severely influence the area far away from the scene centre of azimuth direction in the illuminated scene.

Abstract: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the leading lethal malignancies and a hypervascular tumor. Although some long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been revealed to be involved in HCC. The contributions of lncRNAs to HCC progression and angiogenesis are still largely unknown. In this study, we identified a HCC-related lncRNA, CMB9-22P13.1, which was highly expressed and correlated with advanced stage, vascular invasion, and poor survival in HCC. We named this lncRNA Progression and Angiogenesis Associated RNA in HCC (PAARH). Gain- and loss-of function assays revealed that PAARH facilitated HCC cellular growth, migration, and invasion, repressed HCC cellular apoptosis, and promoted HCC tumor growth and angiogenesis in vivo. PAARH functioned as a competing endogenous RNA to upregulate HOTTIP via sponging miR-6760-5p, miR-6512-3p, miR-1298-5p, miR-6720-5p, miR-4516, and miR-6782-5p. The expression of PAARH was significantly positively associated with HOTTIP in HCC tissues. Functional rescue assays verified that HOTTIP was a critical mediator of the roles of PAARH in modulating HCC cellular growth, apoptosis, migration, and invasion. Furthermore, PAARH was found to physically bind hypoxia inducible factor-1 subunit alpha (HIF-1α), facilitate the recruitment of HIF-1α to VEGF promoter, and activate VEGF expression under hypoxia, which was responsible for the roles of PAARH in promoting angiogenesis. The expression of PAARH was positively associated with VEGF expression and microvessel density in HCC tissues. In conclusion, these findings demonstrated that PAARH promoted HCC progression and angiogenesis via upregulating HOTTIP and activating HIF-1α/VEGF signaling. PAARH represents a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for HCC.
