    Abstract: This study aimed to explore risk factors for lupus nephritis (LN) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and establish a Nomogram prediction model based on LASSO-logistic regression. Methods The clinical and laboratory data of SLE patients in Meishan People’s Hospital from July 2012 to December 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. All SLE patients were divided into two groups with or without LN. Risk factors were screened based on LASSO-logistic regression analysis, and a Nomogram prediction model was established. The receiver operating characteristic curve, calibration curves, and decision curve analysis were adopted to evaluate the performance of the Nomogram model. Results A total of 555 SLE patients were enrolled, including 303 SLE patients with LN and 252 SLE patients without LN. LASSO regression and multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that ESR, mucosal ulcer, proteinuria, and hematuria were independent risk factors for LN in SLE patients. The four clinical features were incorporated into the Nomogram prediction model. Results showed that calibration curve was basically close to the diagonal dotted line with slope 1 (ideal prediction case), which proved that the prediction ability of the model was acceptable. In addition, the decision curve analysis showed that the Nomogram prediction model could bring net clinical benefits to patients when the threshold probability was 0.12–0.54. Conclusion Four clinical indicators of ESR, mucosal ulcer, proteinuria, and hematuria were independent risk factors for LN in SLE patients. The predictive power of the Nomogram model based on LASSO-logistic regression was acceptable and could be used to guide clinical work.

    Abstract: Background: Hexokinase 2 not only plays a role in physiological function of human normal tissues and organs, but also plays a vital role in the process of glycolysis of tumor cells. However, there are few comprehensive studies on HK2 in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA) needs further study. Methods: Oncomine, Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER), The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database were used to analyze the expression differences of HK2 in Pan-cancer and ESCA cohort, and to analyze the correlation between HK2 expression level and clinicopathological features of TCGA ESCA samples. GO/KEGG, GGI, and PPI analysis of HK2 was performed using R software, LinkedOmics, GeneMANIA and STRING online tools. The correlation between HK2 and ESCA immune infiltration was analyzed TIMER and TCGA ESCA cohort. The correlation between HK2 expression level and m6A modification of ESCA was analyzed by utilizing TCGA ESCA cohort. Results: HK2 is highly expressed in a variety of tumors, and its high expression level in ESCA is closely related to the weight, cancer stages, tumor histology and tumor grade of ESCA. The analysis results of GO/KEGG showed that HK2 was closely related to cell adhesion molecule binding, cell-cell junction, ameboidal-type cell migration, insulin signaling pathway, hif-1 signaling pathway, and insulin resistance. GGI showed that HK2 associated genes were mainly involved in the glycolytic pathway. PPI showed that HK2 was closely related to HK1, GPI, and HK3, all of which played an important role in tumor proliferation. The analysis results of TIMER and TCGA ESCA cohort indicated that the HK2 expression level was related to the infiltration of various immune cells. TCGA ESCA cohort analyze indicated that the HK2 expression level was correlated with m6A modification genes. Conclusion: HK2 is associated with tumor immune infiltration and m6A modification of ESCA, and can be used as a potential biological target for diagnosis and therapy of ESCA.

    Abstract: Warm dense matter (WDM), a kind of transition state of matter between cold condensed matter and high temperature plasma, is one of the main research objects of high energy density physics (HEDP). Compared with the structure of isolated atom, the electron structure of WDM will change significantly because of the influences of density and temperature effect. As WDM is always strongly coupled and partly degenerate, accurate theoretical description is very complicated and the accurate experimental research is also very challenging. In this paper, the density effect on the warm dense matter electron structure based on the X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy is studied. The warm dense titanium with density larger than solid density is produced experimentally based on a specially designed hohlraum. Then, the titanium is pumped to emit fluorescence by using the characteristic line spectrum emitted by the laser irradiating the pump material (Vanadium). The X-ray fluorescence spectra of titanium with different states are diagnosed by changing the delay time between the pump laser and drive laser. Two theoretical methods, i.e. finite-temperature relativistic density functional theory (FTRDFT) and two-step Hartree-Fock-Slater (TSHFS), are used to calculate the fluorescence spectrum of warm dense titanium. The calculated results indicate that the energy difference ( 〈 inline-formula 〉 〈 tex-math id="M10" 〉 \begin{document}$\Delta E_{{\mathrm{K}}_{\text{β}}\text{-}{\mathrm{K}}_{\text{α}}} $\end{document} 〈 /tex-math 〉 〈 alternatives 〉 〈 graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="24-20231215_M10.jpg"/ 〉 〈 graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="24-20231215_M10.png"/ 〉 〈 /alternatives 〉 〈 /inline-formula 〉 ) decreases with the increase of density but changes slowly with the increase of temperature during the calculated state (4.5–13.5 g/cm 〈 sup 〉 3 〈 /sup 〉 , 0.03–5 eV). The FTRDFT overestimates the density effect on the line shift, while TSHFS underestimates the density effect. The future work will focus on optimizing the experimental method of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, obtaining X-ray fluorescence spectrum of titanium with more states, and then testing the theoretical method for warm dense matter.

    Abstract: Warm dense matter (WDM), a state of matter which lies at the frontiers between condensed matter and plasma, is one of the main research objects of high energy density physics (HEDP). Compared to the isolated atom, the electron structure of WDM will change because of the influence of density and temperature effect. Both the accurate theoretical represent and the accurate experimental study of WDM electron structure are challenging, as it is strongly coupled and partially degenerated. In this paper, an experimental method for studying the ionization distribution of warm dense matter based on x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy is developed. In the experiment, warm dense titanium with several tens eV and near solid density is created by a simultaneous drive from high energy xray heating and shock compression in a special designed hohlraum. Then, using the characteristic line spectrum emitted by the laser irradiation on pump material (Vanadium) as pump source, the titanium emits fluorescence. The x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy of titanium with different states (cold sample, 1.8-4.5 g/〈i〉cm〈/i〉〈sup〉3〈/sup〉 and 1-25 eV) is diagnosed by changing the experimental strategy. The experimental results indicate that the line profiles of 〈i〉K〈sub〉α〈/sub〉〈/i〉 and 〈i〉K〈sub〉β〈/sub〉〈/i〉 fluorescence spectrum of the heated sample change obviously relative to that of the cold sample. Associating a theoretical calculation from two-step Hartree-Fock-Slater (TSHFS) method, the reason for the variation of the line profile is the change of ionization distribution mainly caused by temperature rise. The future work will focus on optimizing the experimental method of x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, such as improving the spectrum resolution, characterizing the temperature and density experimentally, obtaining a set of ionization distribution data, and then study the influence of dense environment on electronic structure.

    Abstract: Aim: The effects of tirofiban combined with nicorandil on effective reperfusion, and the levels of interleukin-4 (IL-4) and soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic coronary total occlusion (CTO) were investigated. Method: From January 1, 2017, to June 31, 2019, a total of 40 patients with CTO receiving PCI in Shandong Qianfoshan Hospital were randomly divided into a control group (treated with single tirofiban) and a cocktail group (treated with nicorandil combined with tirofiban). Effective reperfusion was compared between groups. In addition, differences in coronary serum IL-4 and sICAM-1 levels before and 10 min after the operation were compared between groups, and the incidence rates of adverse reactions were observed. Finally, patient follow-up occurred at 1 month and 6 months, and the total incidence rates of adverse cardiac events in both groups were assessed. Results: The levels of IL-4 and sICAM-1 in the cocktail group significantly decreased after the operation (P 〈 0.05). In addition, after the operation, significantly greater decreases in the IL-4 and sICAM-1 levels were observed in the cocktail group than the control group (P 〈 0.05). The Seattle Angina Scale (SAQ) score of the cocktail group, compared with the control group, showed a significant improvement after vessel opening in the patients with CTO. At the 1-month follow-up, the SAQ score of the cocktail group, compared with the control group, indicated further improvements in terms of angina attack frequency. No significant differences were observed in the incidence rates of adverse reactions between groups (P 〉 0.05). Conclusion: The treatment of patients with CTO undergoing PCI with nicorandil and tirofiban alleviated the inflammatory response, improved the SAQ scores, and decreased the occurrence of angina pectoris in patients. Moreover, this treatment is safe and reliable, and has important clinical significance.
