Abstract:
As soon as Saharan rock images were discovered, the question of their possible relationship with the iconography and myths of ancient Egypt was raised. After more than a century and a half of debates, it is now very difficult to affirm the existence of precisely recognisable common features in iconography, even if the existence of a very old origin, and in some cases a specifically African one, remains highly probable for some mythemes.
