    Abstract: Sistem usaha tani terpadu adalah suatu sistem yang menggabungkan kegiatan pertanian, peternakan, perikanan, kehutanan dan ilmu lain yang terkait dengan pertanian dalam satu lahan, sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi alternatif peningkatan produktivitas lahan, konservasi lingkungan serta pengembangan desa secara terpadu,sedangkan sistem pertanian berkelanjutan ditujukan untuk mengurangi kerusakan lingkungan, mempertahankan produktivitas pertanian, meningkatkan pendapatan petani dan meningkatkan stabilitas dan kualitas kehidupan masyarakat di pedesaan. Indikator tercapainya sistem pertanian berkelanjutan adalah lingkungan lestari, ekonomi meningkat (sejahtera), dan secara sosial diterima oleh masyarakat petani. Dalam praktek sistem pertanian terpadu dan berkelanjutan adalah pengintegrasian antara tanaman dan ternak.Program KKN-PPM bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam mengembangkan sistem pertanian terpadu dan berkelanjutan melalui sistem integrasi tanaman dan ternak berbasis zero waste farming systemsebagai salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi lahan dan sumberdaya lainnya dalam  rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.Target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah: meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya lahan secara optimal agar pendapatan masyarakat meningkat. Untuk mencapai tujuan dan target  tersebut,akan dilakukan pemberdayaan masyarakatdengan fokus kegiatan meliputi: (a) sosialisasi  program KKN-PPM, (b) penyuluhansistem usaha tani terpadu integrasi tanaman dan ternak, (c) pelatihan teknologi usaha pertanian integrasi tanaman dan ternak berbasis zero waste farming system serta (f) pendampingan dan pemberdayaan bagi kelompok sasaran program. Hasil pelaksanaan program KKN-PPMTahun 2018yang diikuti sebanyak 30 orang mahasiswayang ditempatkan di tiga desa, yaitu Desa Wani I, Desa Wani Lumbumpetigo dan Desa Wanit III  telah melaksanaan program yang meliputi program wajib yaitu sistem pertanian terpadu dan berkelanjutan melalui sistem integrasi tanaman dan ternak berbasis zero waste farming system serta program pilihan berupa bina lingkungan, kegiatan sosial, oleh raga, seni, dan budaya. Program integrasi tanaman dan ternak berbasis zero waste farming system telah mengembangkan pupuk organik dan penanaman hijauan pakan serta budidaya tanaman sayuran melalui konsep RPL

    Abstract: Manure compost is a type of organic fertilizer derived from animal feces. Even though compost has a slow-release nature, it can be a good alternative to chemical fertilizers. The addition of Trichoderma sp. as a decomposer microorganism can accelerate nutrient availability. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the combined application of different types of manure compost and doses of Trichoderma sp. on the growth performance, yield as well as stem rot disease incidence of shallot (Allium cepa L. var. aggregatum). The study was carried out using a split-plot design (P 0.05) with the types of manure compost as the main plot with five levels (no compost, cattle manure, chicken manure, goat manure, and petrogenic compost), and different doses of Trichoderma as subplots with three levels (no Trichoderma, 200 kg ha-1, and 400 kg ha-1). In general, the combined application of manure compost and Trichoderma significantly increased growth performance and yield of shallot compared to no compost (B0) and Trichoderma (T0). However, no differences were observed between manure compost and the addition of Trichoderma. Growth performance of shallots grown in soil amended with cattle manure compost was better compared to the other treatments. The use of 5 t ha-1 cattle manure compost combined with 400 kg ha-1 Trichoderma increased yield by 10.02 t ha-1 and reduced stem rot diseases incidence by 0.67%.

    Abstract: Lahan marginal termasuk lahan yang kurang subur karena memiliki kandungan unsur hara dan bahan organik yang rendah. Untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian pupuk, berupa pupuk anorganik, pupuk organik, dan pupuk hayati.  Salah satu pupuk hayati (biofertilizer)  yang digunakan dalam dunia pertanian saat ini adalah kelompok bakteri rizosfer atau sering dikenal dengan Rizobakteria Pemacu Tumbuh Tanaman (RPTT). Masalah yang dihadapi oleh petani dalam pengembangan pupuk hayati adalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang bakteri rizosfer sebagai sumber pupuk hayati.  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan untuk mendampingi petani mengembangkan Rizobakteria Pemacu Tumbuh Tanaman (RPTT). Metode yang diterapkan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa peserta (petani)  antusias mengikuti setiap topik kegiatan, hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh keaktifan peserta pada berbagai tahapan kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pengetahuan, ketrampilan dan sikap petani melalui jawaban pada lembar kuisioner yang diberikan terhadap materi teknologi pembuatan dan aplikasi RPTT mengindikasikan bahwa ketrampilan petani membuat RPTT meningkat sebesar 70% dan petani yang berniat untuk mengembangkan dan mengaplikasikan RPTT sebagai pupuk hayati di lahan usaha taninya sebesar 60%. Dengan demikian pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat memotivasi petani untuk mengembangkan RPTT sebagai pupuk hayati sehingga diharapkan dapat mengoptimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan marginal untuk peningkatan produksi pertanian.

    Abstract: The study aimed to obtain the type of mulch and the doses of liquid organic fertilizer proper waste coconut husks in modifying microclimate around crops to obtain the maximum yield of shallot in the dryland. The research was used a factorial randomized complete block design consisting of two factors. The first factor consisting mulches, M1 = silver-black plastic mulch and M2 = straw mulch. The dose of liquid organic fertilizer from coconut husks was the second factor. It is consisting of S0 = without fertilizer, S1 = 500 L ha-1, S2 = 750 L ha-1 and S3 = 1000 L ha-1. The results showed that the application of a combination of mulch and liquid organic fertilizer coconut husk waste significantly affected plant height, number of leaves per plant, number of tillers, and the bulb yield. Straw mulch with coconut husks waste dose of 1000 L ha-1 resulted in plant height, number of leaves per plant, number of tillers and highest bulb yield compared with other treatments. The highest bulb yield was obtained with 9.63 t ha-1.

    Abstract: The practice of conventional rice cultivation using inorganic fertilizers and synthetic chemical pesticides can affect the stability of ecosystems. This study aimed to compare the diversity and community structure of arthropods in tropical rice field under organic and conventional ecosystems. This research was conducted at Oloboju, located at an altitude of 120 m above sea level. The soil type was inceptisol. The research used observation and exploration methods. The sampling of arthropods in the field used a sweep net, a pitfall trap, a yellow pan trap and by hand. The variables measured were the taxonomic composition and relative morpho-species abundance, family and order composition. Relative morpho-species abundance was assessed based on functional roles, number of species, and the total number of individuals. The results show that the Shannon diversity index value (H') and Margalef richness index (Dmg) were higher in organic rice ecosystems than conventional. On the other hand, the organic rice ecosystem had a Simpson dominance index value (C) and an evenness index (E) lower than the values of C and E in conventional rice ecosystems. The organic ecosystem had a community structure of arthropod of 9 orders, 24 families, and 28 morpho-species, with an abundance of 4,002 individuals, while the conventional ecosystem had a community structure of arthropod of 7 orders, 17 families, and 20 morpho-species with an abundance of 1,789 individuals. The practice of organic rice cultivation would increase the biodiversity index towards ecosystem balance so that it could be used as an alternative to pest control

    Abstract: Penggunaan insektisida dalam pengendalian hama telah menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif terutama terjadinya kerusakan ekosistem pertanaman. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi penggunaan insektisida kimia sintetis adalah dengan memanfaatkan bahan tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai pestisida nabati. Tumbuhan bunga mentega (Nerium oleander Linn.) memiliki potensi sebagai insektisida nabati karena mengandung zat oleandrin yang dapat bekerja sebagai racun perut dan penghambat daya makan larva. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai konsentrasi ekstrak daun bunga mentega N. oleander pada pertanaman bawang merah verietas Lembah Palu Allium cepa var. aggregatum terhadap padat populasi dan intensitas serangan hama ulat bawang Spodoptera exigua dan hasil produksi bawang merah di lahan kering. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2018 sampai bulan Februari 2019. di Desa Sidera, Kecamatan Sigi Biromaru Kabupaten Sigi, Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan yaitu K0: tanpa ekstrak, K1: ekstrak N. oleander 2,69 g/L, K2: ekstrak N. oleander 5,38 g/L, K3: ekstrak N. oleander 10,75 g/L, K4: ekstrak N. oleander 21,5 g/L, dan K5: ekstrak N. oleander 43,0 g/L. Variabel pengamatan meliputi padat populasi dan intensitas serangan ulat bawang S. exigua dan produksi bawang merah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis varians yang dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi 43,0 g/L menekan populasi dan intensitas serangan larva S. exigua masing-masing sebesar 1,58 ekor menjadi 0,71 ekor dan 2,79% menjadi 0,71%. Produksi yang dicapai meningkat pada perlakuan K5 yakni dari 4,97 t/ha menjadi 8,67 t/ha.

    Abstract: The cultivation of rare and or wild medicinal plants is one of the strategies to make it easier when needed and also to produce quality simplicia. The partner village program aims to assist the community in carrying out medicinal plant cultivation. The community service activities were carried out in the conservation area of ​​medicinal plants and in the residents' yards in Pakuli Village and lasted for 4 months, from March 2020 to July 2020. The method applied was counseling and technical guidance. The results of the activities showed that the training and technology demonstration were well implemented and were accepted by the community. Counseling activities increase knowledge that is characterized by increased skills when practicing medicinal plants. Species that are cultivated in conservation areas are those that grow wild and rare, while in people's yards it is the species most widely used as medicine and which is of economic value.

    Abstract: Produktivitas usaha tani di  Desa Dolago Padang Kecamatan Parigi Selatan masih sangat rendah disebabkan oleh praktek budidaya masih bersifat konvensional yaitu dengan penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida kimia tergolong intensif. Untuk mengurangi penggunaan input bahan kimia tersebut perlu digalakkan sistem pertanian organik dalam kegiatan usaha tani. Di desa Dolago Padang potensi bahan organik cukup banyak tersedia, namun belum dimanfaatkan. Program kemitraan wilayah (PKW) pertujuan untuk mendampingi petani dalam mengolah sumberdaya lahan dan ternak menjadi produk yang bernilai berupa pupuk organik dan pestisida rasional. Program menggunakan metode pelatihan dan demplot percobaan serta pembinaan dan pendampingan masyarakat. Hasil yang dicapai yakni masyarakat dapat mengembangkan  pupuk organik cair biourin dan bioufungisida  trihoderma  sehingga produk tersebut dapat digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan usaha tani organik.
