Abstract:
Objective: Describe the actual experience of inpatients at the Institute of Ethnic Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City in 2021. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 245 selected-inpatients for interviewing about patient experiences. Period from March to May 2021. Results: The main findings showed that the rate of positive patient experience in the study was 52.2%. In which, the experience of drug information was the most positive, accounting for 97.1% and the lowest was the positive experience in terms of when the patient was discharged from the hospital, accounting for 57.6%. The Department of General Surgery was the department with the highest rate of positive experiences at 66.0% and the lowest was the Department of Gynecology, accounting for 40.4%. Conclusions: The overall positive experience rate was quite low, it was necessary to have a solution to develop hospital discharge instructions for patients according to the nature of the disease and suitable to the nature of the department medicines, notes for patients when they leave the hospital.
