Abstract:
Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the most common cancers affecting men worldwide, with a high recurrence rate after therapy. 68 Ga-PSMA-11 and 18 F-fluciclovine are PET imaging tracers for the detection of recurrence sites in PC patients. 68 Ga-PSMA-11 is a membrane antigen overexpressed by tumor cells, whereas 18 F-fluciclovine targets increased amino acid transporter in the membrane of cancer cells. We report a case of an 83-year-old man with known oligodendroglioma and biochemically recurrent PC who shows a high focal 68 Ga-PSMA-11 and 18 F-fluciclovine uptake in the brain.
