Abstract:
For many years attention has been focused on the information needs within industry and commerce, government and, to a certain extent, the educational sector. This paper addresses the need by ordinary individuals for information which relates to their daily lives. Using the experience in Great Britain, the paper illustrates the ways by which these needs can be met within rural communities.
