Abstract: A severe pneumonia outbreak occurred in Wuhan City in late December 2019. Inhalation of airborne microorganisms that may remain in the air for a long time, direct blood contact, oral fluid or other patient material, connective contact with droplets and nasal or mouth mucosal microorganisms formed or proposed by an infected person transmitting pathogens to the dental environment for a short time. Contacts can also occur in a relatively closed environment where aerosols are exposed to high aerosol levels. Dental practice produces risky dentists and patients with aerosols. Therefore, the research aims to prevent infections in dental practices from hindering transmission routes between clinics and hospitals. Dentists played a significant role in stopping 2019-ncov transmission. In dental clinics and hospitals, infection control is advised to block routes from person to person.

Abstract: The future of medical health care is evolving day in and out. Researchers are focusing on facing the biggest challenges in the field by using smallest of the solutions. Nanotechnology uptil now have been seen only in science fiction stories and movies. An upcoming future is now promising us turn this fiction turn into reality. Nanorobotics is a field where microsocopic robots will be created to perform medical and dental procedures. Gaining access to robotics at nano level in the dental world, the aim will be to treat dental conditions rapidly and more efficiently, by causing minimum pain. Nanorobots to be made up of “smart” structure which will have the ability of inciting, sensing, signalling, processing information and perform the required treatment at nano scale. The emergence of nanorobtics in healthcare sector will change the face of medical sciences. The article aims to elucidate the current scenario of nano world in dentistry and how nanorobotics will fabricate a better future in treatment modalities in dentistry.

Abstract: The patient's post-surgical management is just as critical as the surgical treatment planning and management of the patient. Patients who do not receive proper and contemporary post-surgical instructions, or who do not follow them, are at higher risk for complications such as pain, swelling, and infection, as well as the possibility of altered healing of both the oral soft tissues and supporting osseous structures. During postoperative phase, the three most important factors to consider are the patient comfort, wound stability and plaque control. These are achieved through a combination of good surgical technique and careful postoperative care of the surgical site. Thus, surgeon's professional obligation is to ensure that patients receive consistent verbal and written instructions that describe activities during the critical early healing period after the surgery. Furthermore, the surgeon must have a thorough understanding of the instructions given to the patient, as well as the reasoning behind them.

Abstract: People brush their teeth for a variety of reasons: to feel revitalised and confident, to maintain a healthy smile, and to avoid bad breath and disease. Oral hygiene is critical for oral health preservation because it eliminates microbial plaque and prevents it from accumulating on teeth and gingivae. Control of the plaque is crucial for the management of periodontal diseases, but not all patients are at the same risk of disease development, and the difficulties depend on clinical findings. The clinical presentations and risk assessment for individual patients are to be adapted to the oral hygiene techniques and recommendations. Interdental aids are available in a variety of forms, including dental floss, interdental brushes, rubber tips, wooden tooth picks, water jets, and oral irrigators. Each of these options has distinct advantages and disadvantages. The appropriate interproximal cleaning aid is determined by the ease of use, the size of the interproximal space, the individual's acceptability, dexterity, and motivation. Thus, the dentist can make a recommendation based on the unique characteristics of each patient.

Abstract: Background: Thalassemia is a chronic debilitating disease that affects nearly 200 million people worldwide. A caregiver who has good knowledge regarding the disease can not only provide a better quality of care to his/her ward but also may spread knowledge in the society in which he/she lives which helps immensely in raising community awareness related to the disease. Methods: 50 caregivers (either mother or father) of chronically transfused thalassemic children were questioned regarding their knowledge, attitude and practice towards this disease, using a self-constructed questionnaire. Results: It was found that despite adequate knowledge regarding every aspect of this disease, there is a lack of attitude of practice towards prevention of this disease in their subsequent child or in their near and dear ones. Conclusions: There is a need to promote an attitude of practice in prevention of the birth of thalassemic children as mere knowledge regarding the disease is not enough in the present scenario where the disease burden is increasing as is the financial and emotional burden on the families. Role of Government sponsorship, a social worker and a child psychologist in the Thalassemia day care unit cannot be minimized.

Abstract: During the last ve decades, lung sonography has developed into a core competency of intensive care medicine. It is a highly accurate bedside tool, with clear diagnostic criteria for most causes of respiratory failure (pneumothorax, pulmonary edema, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and pleural effusion). It helps in distinguishing a hypovolemic from a cardiogenic, obstructive, or distributive shock. In addition to diagnostics, it can also be used to guide ventilator settings, uid administration, and even antimicrobial therapy, as well as to assess diaphragmatic function. Moreover, it provides risk-reducing guidance during invasive procedures, e.g., intubation, thoracocentesis, or percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy. The recent pandemic has further increased its scope of clinical applications in the management of COVID- 19 patients, from their initial presentation at the emergency department, during their hospitalization, and after their discharge into the community. Despite its increasing use, a consensus on education, assessment of competencies, and certication is still missing. Deep learning and articial intelligence are constantly developing in medical imaging, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound enables new diagnostic perspectives. This review summarizes the clinical aspects of lung sonography in intensive care medicine and provides an overview about current training modalities, diagnostic limitations, and future developments.
