    Abstract: Bu çalışma mısır yerine arpa kullanılan rasyonlara enzim ilavesinin yumurtlayan bıldırcınlarda performans, yumurta kalitesi ile serum ve kemik mineral seviyesi üzerine etkisini belirlemek için yürütülmüştür. 4 x 2 faktöriyel deneme planında, mısır yerine dört arpa seviyesi (%0, 25, 50 ve 100) ve iki enzim seviyesinin (0 ve 1.0 g/kg) oluşturulduğu 8 muamele, her birinde 5 dişi bıldırcın bulunan 4 tekerrürlü olarak denenmiştir. On haftalık yaşta toplam 160 adet dişi bıldırcın 12 hafta boyunca deneme rasyonları ile yemlenmişlerdir. Ana faktör olarak rasyon arpa seviyesi yumurtlayan bıldırcınlarda canlı ağırlık değişimini, yumurta verimini, yumurta ağırlığını, yumurta kitlesini, yem tüketimini, yemden yararlanma oranını, kabuk kırılma direncini, kabuk oranı, Haugh birimini, serum fosfor ve çinko seviyelerini ile kemik kalsiyum, manganez ve çinko seviyelerini etkilememiştir (P & gt;0.05). Bıldırcın rasyonlarında mısır yerine arpa kullanımı yumurta kabuk kalınlığını (P & lt;0.05) ve sarı rengini (P & lt;0.01) olumsuz etkilemiştir. Serum kalsiyum (P & lt;0.05), magnezyum (P & lt;0.05) seviyeleri ile kemik fosfor (P & lt;0.05) ve magnezyum (P & lt;0.01) seviyeleri rasyonda arpa kullanımı ile artmıştır. Bıldırcın rasyonlarına enzim ilavesi canlı ağırlık değişimini (P & lt;0.05), kabuk kırılma direncini (P & lt;0.05) ve kabuk oranını (P & lt;0.01) pozitif, sarı rengini ise negatif etkilemiştir (P & lt;0.01). Mısır:arpa ve enzim arasındaki interaksiyonlar sadece yumurta kitlesini (P & lt;0.05) ve sarı rengini (P & lt;0.01) önemli derecede etkilemiştir. Sonuç olarak, sarı rengindeki olumsuz etkisi tolere edilebilir ise yumurtlayan bıldırcın rasyonlarında mısırın yerine arpa (enzim ilaveli) kullanılabileceği söylenebilir.

    Abstract: The methods applied for yield increases per unit animal are also progressing rapidly, along with the rapid progress of agricultural and animal production in parallel with the rapidly developing population and the food demand. The increase in animal products increases the environmental impacts per unit of animal product. With the increase in animal wastes in recent years, greenhouse gas emissions have increased even more, thus negatively affecting the environment and animal health. In order to prevent this negative effect, sustainable methods and strategic measures related to animal feeding and care are important in order to reduce the emission of harmful greenhouse gases. Methane, which is the second most important greenhouse gas, is found in large amounts in the atmosphere as a molecule, the accumulation of this gas in the atmosphere more than CO₂ increases the interest in this subject. Different practices related to the nutrition of ruminant animals (use of feed additives, feeding strategies) in order to optimize rumen conditions and increase productivity per unit animal is a developing area. Sharing this information with animal breeders will also benefit the environment, and therefore human and animal health, in terms of reducing both methane and nitrogen emissions. In ruminant animals, it can cause a loss of 2-12% of the gross energy taken with the feed so that the methane gas can be removed from the body. There are many studies on feeding to reduce nitrogen losses in faeces and urine, which cause methane emissions for ruminants, and many of these studies still do not reach a permanent conclusion. The reduction in enteric CH₄ emissions to be made must be tailored to the specific needs of farmers and livestock, and to be cost-effective. In our study, it is aimed to compile animal feeding strategies and reduction of methane emissions under different conditions.

    Abstract: In this study, it was aimed to determine the nutrient content and in vitro digestibility of the leaves collected from different legume (Fabaceae) trees (Leucaeno leucacephala, Robinia pseudoacacia, Colutea arborescens, Cercis siliquastrum, Wisteria sinensis) on the Niğde-Bor road and in the campus of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir (OHU) University. Dry matter (KM), crude protein (HP), crude oil (HY), crude cellulose (HS) and crude ash (HK) analyzes in the feed materials used in the research, fibrous material insoluble in acid solvents (ADF), fibrous material insoluble in neutral solvents ( NDF) and nitrogen-free core (NPM) values were determined. In order to determine the in vitro gas and methane gas production amounts, metabolic energy (ME), net energy lactation (NEL) and in vitro organic matter digestion degree (IVOMSD) values of the samples, rumen fluid obtained from newly slaughtered rams in the slaughterhouse was used.     Abstract: Despite positive effects on nutrition, it has been reported that milk causes allergic reactions and many health problems. Allergic reaction to milk is called lactose intolerance, but it is estimated that this is not caused by lactose, but by the β -casein structure of milk, which varies depending on animal species. Although there are many fractions of β-casein in the structure of milk, especially A1 and A2 casein attract attention. A1 β -casein causes many health problems because it plays a role in the formation of the bioactive opioid peptide β-casomorphin-7 (β-CM-7). These health problems are allergic reactions, weakening of the immune system and slowing down of the gastro-intestinal system and some systemic diseases (cardiovascular disease, type 1 diabetes, autism, schizophrenia). The underdevelopment of gastro-intestinal system, especially in newborns, causes us to encounter these health problems more frequently. For this reason, the consumption of milk containing A1 β-casein, especially cow’s milk from culture breeds, is not recommended. Since BKM-7 (β-casomorphin-7) formed by A1 β-casein cannot occur in A2 β-casein, these health problems cannot be expected to be observed. However, A2 β-casein causes DPP4 (dipeptidyl peptidase 4) enzymes to be regulated in the body and a non-opioid effect is observed. It is recommended to consume goat’s milk and dairy products containing A2 β-casein in newborns, people with celiac disease and stomach disorders. Despite the lack of studies on the subject of A1 and A2 β-casein and the ongoing discussions, in this review, the importance and differences of A1 and A2 β-caseins in cow and goat milk were discussed and their effects on human health.

    Abstract: The rapid increase in the world population increases the need for plant and animal food. Agriculture and animal husbandry practices are becoming more common day by day to meet the need for food and to obtain more products. This situation increases the amount of waste per unit of animal products. Increased animal excrement is associated with greenhouse gas emissions, harms the environment and animal health. One of these greenhouse gases, methane, increases animal production and poses a significant threat to global warming. Feeding research, which optimizes rumens and animal productivity to reduce ruminant methane emissions, is one of the hottest topics today. The purpose of this study is to evaluate feed distribution in terms of chemical composition, methane production, net energy, and organic matter digestibility by collecting forage and concentrates from various ranches in Niğde. Therefore, to increase the productivity of livestock on small farms in Turkey, the ratio of feed ingredients was determined on a farm basis, and there were some comments on the lower and upper limits of the fattening rate. Gas and methane production of TMR samples was determined using in vitro gas production technology.     Abstract: Hayvanların besin madde gereksinmelerini karşılama ve iştah artırma açısından yeşil yem bitkileri, hayvan beslemede önemli bir yer teşkil etmektedir. Özellikle süt sığırı yetiştiriciliğinde süt verimi ve kalitesi için yeşil yemlere gereksinim duyulmaktadır. Ruminant hayvanların yeşil yem ihtiyaçlarının karşılamasında tarım alanlarının azlığı, su kullanımı çevre ve iklim faktörleri tarımsal üretimi olumsuz etkilemektedir. Yıl boyunca üretimde devamlılığı sağlanamayan yeşil yemlerin hem yıl boyunca ulaşımının olmaması hem de yeşil yem fiyatlarının yüksek olmasından dolayı topraksız tarıma yönelim artmaktadır. Bu amaçla hidroponik üretim ile çevreye ve toprağa bağlı olan olumsuz şartların ortadan kaldırılmasıyla yıl boyunca yeşil yem üretiminin devamlılığı sağlanabilmekte ve yem masraflarının azaltılabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bununla birlikte, hidroponik sistemle yapılacak yeşil yem üretimiyle elde edilecek ürünlerin sindirilebilirliği ve yemden yararlanma oranı artacaktır. Yemden yararlanmanın artmasıyla et, süt verimi ve kalitesi, hayvanın performansı ve sağlığı da olumlu etkilenebilecektir. Bu derlemede, hidroponik sistemle yetiştirilen çimlenme hızı yüksek tahılların yeşil yem olarak hayvan beslemede kullanılması ve dezavantajları hakkında bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

    Abstract: The epidemic disease called COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) has affected the whole world. With the spread of the epidemic, various measures such as distance education, home-office, and especially movement restrictions, have been tried to be taken. These measures have increased people's demand for healthy food. The formation of food safety awareness among in consumers has revealed the necessity of control of the controlling food chain (production, storage, transportation of products, etc.). In this process, animal products gained importance, especially as people paid more attention to their nutrition compared to previous years. Especially in this process, animal production should be systematically sustainable in order to meet the increasing animal protein needs of people. In this review, it aims to compile sensitive livestock systems in order to ensure the sustainability of animal production, the production of healthier animals and the production of the obtained products within the framework of food safety rules, with the cessation of mobility due to the measures taken under quarantine and social distance in the COVID-19 epidemic. Thus, in addition to reducing the human workforce during the epidemic process, the data collected with modern animal husbandry will prevent diseases, and facilitate the diagnosis and treatment processes in the event of a disease. With the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), which have an important place in this system, the data obtained through the modern livestock system can be easily processed, managed, and shared, thus reducing the possibility of disease transmission during the pandemic process.
