Abstract:
A critical question in affirmative action planning is whether any given plan of action will successfully integrate an organization's work force within a reasonable length of time. Computer simulation, coupled with appropriate involvement by line managers, can help the organization ensure congruence between its plan of action and its timetables for making progress toward achieving an integrated work force. This article describes one organization's experiences in using a computer-assisted databased management intervention in setting affirmative action goals.
