Abstract:
TNFR-1/LTβR activation in mouse aorta SMC causes cross-talk of the classical and alternative NF-κB pathways. This triggers a LTO-like phenotype through hyperinduction of homeostatic chemokines, which then prompts T-lymphocyte, B-lymphocyte, and macrophage/DC attraction. Thus, SMC may participate in shaping the immunologic characteristics of atherosclerotic arteries.
