    Abstract: In the last few decades, there has been a strong trend towards integrating renewable-based distributed generation systems into the power grid, and advanced management strategies have been developed in order to provide a reliable, resilient, economic, and sustainable operation. Moreover, demand response (DR) programs, by taking the advantage of flexible loads’ energy reduction capabilities, have presented as a promising solution considering reliability issues. Therefore, the impacts of combined system architecture with on-site photovoltaic (PV) generation units and residential demand reduction strategies were taken into consideration on distribution system reliability indices in this study. The load model of this study was created by using load data of the distribution feeder provided by Bosphorus Electric Distribution Corporation (BEDAS). Additionally, the reliability parameters of the feeder components were determined based on these provided data. The calculated load point and feeder side indicators were analyzed comprehensively from technical and economic perspectives. In order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed structure, four case studies were carried out in both DigSILENT PowerFactory and MATLAB environments.

    Abstract: Today, in line with the increasing population and also with the increasing demanded energy, the tendency towards alternative energy sources has increased. As a result, the use of renewable energy sources (RES) is increasing day by day and especially the use of solar energy is becoming widespread. The use of solar energy has gained an important place in the current energy market because of its clean and economical feature. Malfunctions are one of the significant problems in solar power plants (SPP) as in every system. There is a distribution between the consumer demanding energy and the electricity transmission system. It is not desired to be affected of areas where the distribution network is located in case of any malfunction that may occur in these systems. For that purpose, the system must be reliable in order to ensure the continuity of the system. The ability that fulfilling the desired tasks during their operation is called reliability. The reliability analysis of a solar power plant (SPP) integrated into the distribution system has been made conducted for this purpose in this study. SPP has been designed with a simulation program to the place determined in Büyükçekmece which is the district of Istanbul. In this study, 3014 Canadian solar 320wp panels and ABB 5.k kW inverter have been used in a 5113m2 area. The energy analysis to be generated power in 365 days of a power plant is to produce 1000kwp power in total has been done in a simulation program. The daily load curve has been obtained by using monthly and hourly consumption information.

    Abstract: Transformer buildings are at the heart of the effective operation of distribution systems, and heating problems of transformers under severe operational conditions are among the main factors affecting the lifetime, efficiency, technical losses, etc., of such important power system assets. It is crucial that the inside temperature of transformer buildings is higher than the outside temperature due to the operation of the transformer and the effect of ambient conditions. This issue may cause several problems such as additional transformer aging, losses, and moisture. The main purpose of this study is to decrease the inside temperature of transformer buildings; in other words, to prevent the inside temperature from being higher than the outside temperature. To realize this, it is recommended to apply a combined heat reduction technique by covering the outer surface with a reflective surface and use a low-emitting material on the inner surface. The relevant results of the practical evidence in this manner are presented in detail at a distribution system in Turkey with different climate and loading conditions in the summertime.

    Abstract: Peanut (Archis hypogaea L.) seed, an important oil crop (arachis oil) throughout the world, is grown in large quantities in Africa, India and China. The oil is used in many edible products, including shortenings, margarines and mayonnaise, as a cooking and frying oil and as a salad oil. Arachis oil contains fatty acids and antioxidants. It has been shown to be unexpectedly atherogenic in the diets of experimental animals (Chow 1992).

    Abstract: Bu çalışmanın amacı, dinamik fiyatlamanın olduğu piyasa koşullarında otoparkın çatısına kurulan fotovoltaik üretim sisteminin ürettiği enerjiden daha fazla ekonomik fayda sağlamak için bulanık mantık tabanlı akıllı şarj yönetim sistemi geliştirmektir. Bunu yapabilmek için fotovoltaik üretim sisteminin, otopark ve enerji piyasası modelleri oluşturulmakta ve modeller akıllı şarj yönetim sistemine giriş olarak verilmektedir. Akıllı şarj yönetim sistemi fotovoltaik üretim sisteminin ürettiği enerjinin şebekeye satılacağına veya elektrikli araçların şarj edileceğine karar vermektedir. Bu çalışmadaki modellerde gerçek veriler kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıca, fotovoltaik üretim sistemi simülasyonunda çift yönlü fotovoltaik panellerin kullanması bu çalışmanın yeni yaklaşımlarından biridir. Yakın gelecekte elektrikli araçların otoparklarda yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarından şarj edilmesi bu mobil yükün yönetimini kolaylaştıracağı için çok önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları hem elektrikli araç yükünün yönetimine yardımcı olacak, hem de otoparkların kazancını artıracaktır.
