Abstract: We installed two sets of Astronomical Site Monitoring Systems (ASMSs) at Lijiang Observatory (GMG), for the running of the 2.4-meter Lijiang optical telescope (LJT) and the 1.6-meter Multi-channel Photometric Survey Telescope (Mephisto). The Mephisto is under construction. The ASMS has been running on robotic mode since 2017. The core instruments: Cloud Sensor, All-Sky Camera and Autonomous-DIMM that are developed by our group, together with the commercial Meteorological Station and Sky Quality Meter, are combined into the astronomical optical site monitoring system. The new Cloud Sensor’s Cloud-Clear Relationship is presented for the first time, which is used to calculate the All-Sky cloud cover. We designed the Autonomous-DIMM located on a tower, with the same height as LJT. The seeing data have been observed for a full year. ASMS’s data for the year 2019 are also analysed in detail, which are valuable to observers.

Abstract: Polarimetry plays an important role in investigating physical properties for celestial objects. We present a polarimeter named YFPOL for the Cassegrain focus of the Lijiang 2.4 m Telescope (LJT) of Yunnan Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences. YFPOL is a traditional single-beam polarimeter with a rotating polarizer. As the focal-reducer instrument Yunnan Faint Object Spectrograph and Camera (YFOSC) is always positioned on the Cassegrain focal plane of LJT, we develop two sets of ultra-thin (thickness 〈 12 mm) polarizer rotation control systems with wireless charging and control functions, which are suitable for mounting on the two front-wheels of YFOSC. One set is used as the polarimetric calibration unit, and the other is for the polarimetric modulation unit. Both of the polarizers have an ultra-high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 in the optical band. We investigate the instrumental polarization characteristics (IPCs) in the full field of view that is transferred from YFOSC. Furthermore, we identify that the IPCs change when the Cassegrain axis rotates. The spurious polarization from the IPCs can be effectively minimized by flat-fielding using the unpolarized domeflat, when the Cassegrain rotation angle is the same or nearest to that of the polarization observation. We develop a quasi-automatic pipeline for YFPOL and its effectiveness has been verified by tests of the polarimetric observation with blazar S5 0716+714. The calibration is performed by observing the zero-polarized and highly-polarized standard stars. We successfully reach high precision polarization in the 7 ′ field of view, and the systematic uncertainty is below 0.8% for a V = 11.68 target with a 10 s exposure. The instrument polarization angle offset is 2.°6. YFPOL is not only a simple polarimeter, but also a spectropolarimeter with grisms that can be considered in the future.

Abstract: The Lijiang 2.4-meter Telescope (LJT), the largest common-purpose optical telescope in China, has been available to the worldwide astronomical community since 2008. It is located at the Gaomeigu site, Lijiang Observatory (LJO), in the southwest of China. The site has very good observational conditions. During its 10-year operation, several instruments have been equipped on the LJT. Astronomers can perform both photometric and spectral observations. The main scientific goals of LJT include recording photometric and spectral evolution of supernovae, reverberation mapping of active galactic nuclei, investigating the physical properties of binary stars and near-earth objects (comets and asteroids), and identification of exoplanets and all kinds of transients. Until now, the masses of 41 high accretion rate black holes have been measured, and more than 168 supernovae have been identified by the LJT. More than 190 papers related to the LJT have been published. In this paper, the general observation conditions of the Gaomeigu site is introduced at first. Then, the structure of the LJT is described in detail, including the optical, mechanical, motion and control system. The specification of all the instruments and some detailed parameters of the YFOSC is also presented. Finally, some important scientific results and future expectations are summarized.

Abstract: We developed a spectroscopic monitoring project to investigate the kinematics of the broad-line region (BLR) in active galactic nuclei (AGNs) with ultrafast outflows (UFOs). Mrk 79 is a radio-quiet AGN with UFOs and warm absorbers and has been monitored by three reverberation mapping (RM) campaigns, but its BLR kinematics are not yet understood. In this paper, we report the results from a new RM campaign of Mrk 79, which was undertaken with the Lijiang 2.4 m telescope. Mrk 79 appears to come out the faint state, with the mean flux approximately a magnitude fainter than the historical record. We successfully measured the lags of the broad emission lines including H β   λ 4861, H γ   λ 4340, He  ii   λ 4686, and He  i   λ 5876 with respect to the varying AGN continuum. Based on the broad H β   λ 4861 line, we measured a black hole mass of M • = 5.13 − 1.55 + 1.57 × 10 7 M ⊙ , and an estimated accretion rate of M ̇ • = ( 0.05 ± 0.02 ) L Edd c − 2 , indicating that Mrk 79 is a sub-Eddington accretor. We found that Mrk 79 deviates from the canonical Radius−Luminosity relationship. The marginal blueshift of the broad He  ii   λ 4686 line detected from the rms spectrum indicates outflow of high-ionization gas. The velocity-resolved lag profiles of the broad H γ   λ 4340, H β   λ 4861, and He  i   λ 5876 lines show similar signatures such that the largest lag occurs in the red wing of the lines and then the lag decreases to both sides. These signatures may suggest that the BLR of Keplerian motion probably exists as outflow gas motion. All findings including UFOs, warm absorbers, and the kinematics of high- and low-ionization BLR, may provide indirect evidence that the BLR of Mrk 79 probably originates from a disk wind.

Abstract: Natamycin, an antifungal agent, has been widely used as a food preservative and medicine for fungal disease therapy. Seed preculture plays a crucial role in natamycin production, while studies on the effects of seed morphology on natamycin biosynthesis and corresponding regulation approaches are still absent. RESULTS Correlation analyses among spore age, seed morphology and natamycin production showed that old spores tended to form larger mycelial pellets, which gave rise to a significant reduction of natamycin biosynthesis. To solve this problem, microparticle talc was added to regulate the mycelial morphology in seed preculture. Optimal talc addition led to small mycelial pellets with hairy superficial mycelia and loose structure, resulting in higher glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase activity and energy charge. The seed morphology regulation effectively improved the natamycin titer and decreased the culture time, especially for old spores (age 28 days), with a 1.7‐fold higher natamycin titer and 16.9% culture time reduction. Unfortunately, direct talc addition proved to be infeasible for natamycin fermentation in a 5 L fermentor, which was attributed to physical damage from rapid agitation and excessive talc crashing. Therefore, the morphology engineering strategy was preferred in the seed preculture process rather than formal fermentation for natamycin production. CONCLUSION The new strategy proposed in this study could not only improve natamycin production, but also reduced the culture time. Furthermore, this work could provide references for other biochemicals production by filamentous bacteria or fungi, which would be of great significance in industrial antibiotic fermentation. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry

Abstract: As a kind of labor-intensive industry, the building industry is characteristic of fixed product, huge staff mobility and many participants, which in turn bring about many insecure factors, and greatly affect the development of construction enterprises and national economy. Therefore, the construction enterprises in China must take the safety management in construction seriously. Safety management is very important to production and operation activities of construction enterprises. The good safety management can not only bring social reputation and economic benefits to the enterprises, but also keep the companies from losing property. Based on the characteristics of construction and the causes of secure problems, this thesis discusses how to deal with the work of safety management, and helps to guide the safety production in construction.

Abstract: As the operation cores for construction enterprises, construction organization design and engineering cost interact with each other and are closely related. The scientific construction organization design is to have comprehensive plan and overall design for the time, space and resources of the engineering construction, seen as the foundation of engineering cost and the core of cost management. The confirmation of project cost is largely attributed to the construction management plan since only according to the rational construction scheme and construction technology can the correct unit price for the project be calculated before the reasonable offer of engineering cost which assures the smooth progress of construction organization..

Abstract: China has seen large area of fog and haze weather which often lasted for a long time in different places of its central and eastern part during the year 2013. What’s more, North China, Central China, Huang-Huai area and the south part of the Yangtze River all suffered pollution to some degree. As a result, fog and haze and the serious pollution of PM2.5 became the hot topics both on the micro blog and among neighbors. Therefore, it has been a common recognition that we should strengthen the management of air pollution and reflect the economic development mode and our lifestyle. A brief analysis of the impact of fog and haze on the environment together with some control recommendations is done in this paper.
