Abstract: Nasal polyp of inflammatory masses is also very common but all the same, one has to rule out the possibility of a neoplastic growth. The present work is undertaken with a view to evaluate the etiology, correlate histological findings with clinical manifestations and an attempt has been made to diagnose the tumours early to assist in planning management. In        this      observation, 55. 5 %cases of            rhinosporidiosis had attachment  in lateral wall and 15.5. Rhinosporidiosis attached to the lateral wall only in _22 .5% of cases and to the floor in 41.9% of cases.  If the above two sites are taken together, both the studies, present one .and that of Das (1974) have almost the same finding. It is difficult to determine the attachment when the growth is big

Abstract: Tablet dosage form is the most popular among all existing conventional dosage forms because of its convenience of self-administration, compactness and easy manufacturing. Many patients find it difficult to swallow tablets and capsules. The difficulty is experienced in particular by pediatric and geriatric patients, but it also applies to people who are ill on bed and to those active working patients who are busy or traveling, especially those who have no access to water. The drug hydralazine HCl were used. The amount of drug was 35 mg. the different super disintegrates was used to make a suitable mouth dissolving tablet. All the other reagents which is used in analytical grade reagents. In the present study mouth dissolving tablets of hydralazine HCl were designed, prepared and evaluated. These tablets can disintegrate or dissolve rapidly once placed into the oral cavity. The feofenadine was analyzed for its organoleptic, physicochemical and spectral (IR, UV) properties. The obtained hydralazine HCl was concordant with reference specifications. A complex of hydralazine HCl was successfully formulated. The volunteers rated the resinate as tasteless and agreeable complex.

Abstract: Background: Diagnosis of cervical tuberculous lymphadenitis has been challenging to clinicians as it mimics multiple diseases. USG has upper hand over other diagnostic modalities as it is non- invasive, low cost, time saving and guided procedures like FNAC and core needle biopsy can be performed. Methods: This is a prospective observational study conducted in 100 patients from June 2019 to May 2020 in Dept of Pulmonary medicine, PRM Medical College and Hospital, Baripada. A complete clinical examination, routine blood investigations, CXR, USG Neck, FNAC and CBNAAT were done and data was recorded. Results: Maximum numbers of patients were in age group of 11-20 years (38%) followed by 21-30 years (32%) and presented between the duration of 1-3 months. There were 44(44%) males and 56(56%) females; male to female ratio was 1:1.3. Most of the patients (70%) did not have any constitutional symptoms and maximum number of patients i.e. 53% had matting of LN followed by discrete node 29% whereas 10% patients presented with abscess and 8% had discharging sinuses. In USG, 46 (46%) showed cervical lymphadenopathy with tubercular aetiology with sensitivity and specificity of 90% and 50% respectively with accuracy of 88%.

Abstract: Pyrexia or Fever is defined as an elevation of body temperature. It is a response due to tissue damage, inflammation, malignancy or graft rejection. Cytokines, interleukin, interferon and Tumor Necrosis Factor α (TNF- α) are formed in large amount under this condition, which increase PGE2 which in turn triggers hypothalamus to elevate body temperature. The present investigation it may be concluded that the hydroalcoholic extract of leaves of Scutia myrtina has antipyretic activity.it is tested by in vivo method by using rat .In this study the hydroalcoholic extract contain fever reducing activity.

Abstract: Dyslipidemia is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular disease in diabetes mellitus. The lipid changes associated with diabetes mellitus are attributed to increased free fatty acid flux secondary to insulin resistance. This is prospective, comparative, open label, randomized and parallel group. The subjects enrolled for this study were selected from the Out-Patient Department of Medicine collaboration with Department of Pharmacology, Tertiary care teaching hospital over a period of month. Newly diagnosed 90 cases of patients of Type II Diabetes Mellitus well controlled on oral hypoglycemic drugs were randomly divided into 3 groups of 30 each. Group A was received Rosuvastain 10 mg O.D for 3 months, Group B: Simvastatin 10 mg O.D and Group C was received Atrovastatin 10 mg O.D. In Group ‘A’ the mean difference of Total Cholesterol between baseline versus after 6 months was 82.37 mg/dl, 64.92 mg/dl and 52.23 mg/dl in Group B and Group C respectively. The mean difference of Triglycerides between baseline versus after 6 months was 65.04 mg/dl in Group A, 39.99 mg/dl in Group B and 37.04 mg/dl in Group C.

Abstract: Tumors in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses were recognized during the time of Hippocrates. Whillis (1948) defined tumors as “an abnormal mass of tissue, the growth of which exceeds and is coordinated with that of the normal tissues and persists in the same excessive manner after cessation of the stimuli which evoked the Change” From the table I it is evident that only 5 cases of malignant and 3 cases of fungal Granuloma, there was bony erosion. In 19 cases of antro chonal polyp and antrum and ethmoid sinus is found to be hazy. From the table I, on radiological study, sinuses are found to be hazy in 86.4% cases of antro choanal polyp and 89.4% cases of ethmoidal polyp. This finding is in accordance with that of miles (1971) who started that usually there is some degree of opacity of sinuses either due to thickening of mucosa or superadded infection. erosion of bone is found in 70% cases of malignancy and the 3 case of fungal granuloma.

Abstract:  In the recent past when people were dying of communicable diseases, the discovery and innovations of AMAs , did a miracle as saved millions of life worldwide, by special toxic and killing effect on infecting microorganisms and not damaging host, thus satisfying own name as  MIRACLE MEDICINE or MAGIC BULLETS. Paul Ehlrich of Austria discovered first time chemotherapeutic agent in 1906. Next Domagk of Germany, A. Fleming of England, Walks man of USA discovered sulfonamides, penicillin, Streptomycin and all received NOBEL PRIZE, for their immortal lifesaving work which changed world. Data are collected from admitted patient’s case sheets from surgery wards .Data’s are collected by a self-prepared preformed proforma, which is prepared as per study design and includes Age, Sex, Disease, Unit, Ward, AMA or AMAs prescribed, Average no of AMAs, Dose, Frequency, Route of administration, along with Govt. supply or private purchase and supply chain.

Abstract: Introduction: -Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has effects that seems to be related with systemic inflammation. The objective of the current study was to find the relationship of metabolic syndrome and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, as a marker of systemic inflammation in stable COPD patients with different severity levels and in age and sex matched control group .Materials and  Methods:-100 stable COPD patients and 50 control subjects were included in the study. The severity level in patients with COPD were determined according to GOLD (Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease) criteria. ATP III (The National Cholesterol Education Program’s Adult Treatment Panel III) was used in diagnosis of metabolic syndrome. Hs-CRP levels were measured in venous samples of patients and control subjects.  Results: - The frequency of metabolic syndrome was found higher in-patient group than control subjects, especially in GOLD stages I, II (p= 0.004). Abdominal obesity, hypertension, hyperglycaemia components of metabolic syndrome were significantly more prevalent in-patient group (p 〈 0.0001). Increased CRP levels were higher in control and patient groups in all GOLD stages, with metabolic syndrome than without metabolic syndrome (p= 0.046, p= 0.216, p 〈 0.001, p= 0.05, p= 0.466).

Abstract: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia with derangement of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism due to absolute or relative deficiency of insulin secretion and action, or both. DM, especially type-2 DM, is a serious general medical issue which has arrived at scourge extents because of the quickly expanding paces of this ailment around the world. Target organ confusions, auxiliary to diabetes, are one of the most significant restorative worries of right now. The main findings of our research were no significant differences in baseline characteristics like age and height of both groups. Weight, BMI and waist hip ratio was significantly high in cases. Heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and rate pressure product were significantly high in Cases individuals; however, no significant difference was noticed in pulse pressure (PP). Significantly higher body fat and visceral fat %, lower levels of cardio respiratory fitness assess by cooper 12min run test and significantly higher levels of fasting blood sugar (FBS) was observed in cases.
