Abstract: Quality education is essential in today’s competitive environment because of the rapid development of technology. The concept of “Smart Classroom” square measures a progressive methodology of education, that serves students to develop higher conceptions, educational achievements, improved reading skills, etc. (www.vkmaheshwari.com/WP/?p=2352). The traditional approach of giving lectures and taking notes have lost its effectiveness in the modern day around education. In efforts to grow academics, it must be considered that differentiated modalities of teaching and learning are necessary for better conceptual development. It is the responsibility of the education system to use this sort of ideas to comprehend student interests and orchestrating educational progression throughout childhood and adolescence. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has changed from being a technology of information & communication to a curriculum creation and transmission system for learners. With the development of technologies, new strategies of teaching are being introduced in the curriculum, one of which is known as “Smart Classroom” It uses instructional material, 3D animated modules and videos to make students understand. Nowadays, students are excited at this idea of innovation and interactive learning method. The Smart Learning approach provides people of all ages a framework and a bunch of Smart Thinking Tools that encourage higher levels of understanding and innovative ideas (www.vkmaheshwari.com/WP/?p=2352). Structured talks and assessment as and for learning are fastidiously woven into the method to create a thoughtful context for learning and to advance the thinking of all learners. Both teachers and students are working on “Smart Education” projects for more development of the concept. In today’s education system “Smart Classroom” concept is a great innovation and one-stop resource for students needing analysis and technology. Nowadays, both teachers and students have become technology inclined, students adapt to new technologies or concepts very quickly, which helps them in the professional world. Smart devices like cameras, projectors, remotes are technologies that result in a lot of engaged learning for students and adaptation to a spread of learning designs (www.vkmaheshwari.com/WP/?p=2352). The concept of “Smart Classroom” has not only made education interesting but it created a great platform for students to enhance their performance. Besides this, it helps students to understand the concept faster than verbal or written notes because visual concepts help them to understand the thing more clearly and easily.

Abstract: In this study, the SPL at the boundary and within the domain of a rectangular-shaped container with a flexible laminated composite panel with opening have been investigated. Finite Element Analysis (FEM) for the flexible panel has been done and coupled with the acoustic domain using the Boundary Element Method (BEM) through the mobility relation. A MATLAB program has been developed to find flexible panel behavior by FEM and BEM to calculate the sound pressure level for a cavity. Eight-noded isoparametric serendipity elements have been used to model the boundary. A pressure-velocity formulation has been adopted to model the acoustic domain with radiation impedance for window boundary. It has been shown that the presence of a thin flexible plate and opening, drastically changes the SPL pattern inside and at the boundary compared to a rigid cavity due to the relative movement of flexible panel and energy dissipation through the opening by radiation.

Abstract: In this research, free vibration analysis of epoxy-based laminated composite folded plate structures for thermal loads have been considered using finite element method. Eight noded isoparametric element with five degrees of freedom per node have been considered in the study. Folded plate formulation using 6 X 6 transformation matrix is applied to transform the element mass and stiffness matrices to global system matrices. Yang-Norris-Stavsky (YNS) theory along with rotary inertia have been used in the present formulation. Lamina material properties at elevated temperature have been used in the study. Parametric studies have been performed for laminated composite one-fold plate structure for various thicknesses, crank angle and fibre angle under different temperatures. Results reveal that rising thermal load reduces the stiffness of the structure considerably. As the presence of fold increases stiffness of the plate structures significantly, it can withstand increased temperature. Proper choice of fibre angle and thickness increases the stiffness of the structures thus making it more capable of resisting higher thermal load.

Abstract: The main objective of this research is to present analytical solutions for free vibration analysis of moderately thick plates composed of functionally graded materials. Finite element analysis using first-order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) has been used in the research. Nine noded-isoparametric lagrangian plate bending elements are used in the analysis. Young’s modulus and density per unit volume are assumed to vary continuously through the plate thickness according to power-law distribution. The results have been validated with the existing literature available from other analytical and numerical techniques. The effect of different plate parameters such as aspect ratios, thickness to length ratios, and gradient indices on the natural frequencies of FG rectangular plates is presented. Only clamped boundary conditions have been investigated. It is found that the frequency parameter depends considerably on the said parameters.

Abstract: Functionally graded materials (FGMs) are considered as a special composite material that is synthesized for a specific purpose by gradual mixing of two or more different materials thus with varying material properties through their thickness. Due to smooth and continuous varying material properties from one face to another, FGMs are usually superior to the conventional composite materials in mechanical behavior. Hence the dynamic analysis of FGM plates is essential. In this paper, numerical solutions for free vibration analysis of moderately thick plates composed of functionally graded materials with simply supported boundary conditions using finite element analysis have been studied. First-order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) has been applied in the research. Eight noded isoparametric serendipity plate bending elements have been used. Young’s modulus and density per unit volume are assumed to vary continuously through the plate thickness according to a power-law distribution. The results have been validated with the existing literature available from other analytical and numerical techniques. The effect of different plate parameters such as aspect ratios, edge constraints, thickness to length ratios, and gradient indices on the natural frequencies of FG rectangular plates are presented. It is found that the natural frequency depends considerably on the said parameters.
