Abstract: We used the Jordan–Wigner transform and the invariant eigenoperator method to study the magnetic phase diagram and the magnetization curve of the spin-1/2 alternating ferrimagnetic diamond chain in an external magnetic field at finite temperature. The magnetization versus external magnetic field curve exhibits a 1/3 magnetization plateau at absolute zero and finite temperatures, and the width of the 1/3 magnetization plateau was modulated by tuning the temperature and the exchange interactions. Three critical magnetic field intensities H CB , H CE and H CS were obtained, in which the H CB and H CE correspond to the appearance and disappearance of the 1/3 magnetization plateau, respectively, and the higher H CS correspond to the appearance of fully polarized magnetization plateau of the system. The energies of elementary excitation ℏ ω σ , k ( σ = 1, 2, 3) present the extrema of zero at the three critical magnetic fields at 0 K, i.e., [ ℏ ω 3, k ( H CB )] min = 0, [ ℏ ω 2, k ( H CE )] max = 0 and [ ℏ ω 2, k ( H CS )] min = 0, and the magnetic phase diagram of magnetic field versus different exchange interactions at 0 K was established by the above relationships. According to the relationships between the system’s magnetization curve at finite temperatures and the critical magnetic field intensities, the magnetic field-temperature phase diagram was drawn. It was observed that if the magnetic phase diagram shows a three-phase critical point, which is intersected by the ferrimagnetic phase, the ferrimagnetic plateau phase, and the Luttinger liquid phase, the disappearance of the 1/3 magnetization plateau would inevitably occur. However, the 1/3 magnetization plateau would not disappear without the three-phase critical point. The appearance of the 1/3 magnetization plateau in the low temperature region is the macroscopic manifestations of quantum effect.

Abstract: Mask wearing is the easiest and most effective way to avoid COVID-19 infection; however, it affects interpersonal activities, especially face identification. This study examined the effects of three mask coverage levels (full coverage, FC; coverage up to the middle [MB] or bottom of the nose bridge [BB] ) on face identification accuracy and time. A total of 115 university students (60 men and 55 women) were recruited to conduct a computer-based simulation test consisting of 30 questions (10 questions [five face images each of men and women] for the three mask coverage levels). One unmasked target face and four face images with a specified mask coverage level were designed for each question, and the participants were requested to select the same face from the four covered face images on the basis of the target face. The ANOVA results indicated that identification accuracy was significantly affected by sex ( p   & lt; 0.01) and the mask coverage level ( p   & lt; 0.001), whereas identification time was only influenced by sex ( p   & lt; 0.05). The multiple comparison results indicated that the identification accuracy rate for faces wearing a mask with FC (90.3%) was significantly lower than for those wearing masks with coverage up to the MB (93.7%) and BB (94.9%) positions; however, no difference in identification accuracy rate was observed between the MB and BB levels. Women exhibited a higher identification accuracy rate than men (94.1% vs. 91.9%) in identifying unfamiliar faces, even though they may spend less time identifying the images. A smaller mask coverage level (i.e., the BB level) does not facilitate face identification. The findings can be served as a reference for people to trade-off between wearing a mask and interpersonal interaction in their daily activities.

Abstract: Micro-channel Plate (MCP) with Ion Barrier Film(IBF) is one of the main technical indicators that restrict the performance of the third generations of Low Light Level Image Intensifier(LLLII). IBF with inferior quality can be a direct impact on the performance of the third generations of LLLII or even makes it not work, and it’s very unfavorable in the tube mass production and promotion. In response to this urgent requirement, in order to improve the quality and preparation of the finished product of the Al2O3 on the input side of MCP prepared by magnetron sputtering, the paper carries out the process optimization of magnetron sputtering used for image intensifier. By simulation of Ar ion bombarding Al2O3 target, while under the guidance of the working principles of the magnetron sputtering and thin film growth theory, we change the working pressure、 sputtering power、 argon flow and other process parameters by using magnetron sputtering machine developed in China, to change the coating deposition rate of Al2O3, and to increase the lateral migration of the film-forming process of Al2O3. Finally we prepare a uniform、 continuous and compact Al2O3 Ion Barrier Film. At last the optimal technique is obtained: Sputtering pressure is 2.6×10-1Pa, Ar2 flux is 90sccm, sputtering power is 170W, and the thickness of film is 80Å. We test the performance of MCP with optimized films by using the MCP performance testing devices, contrasting with pre-fabricated thin-film quality, and the results show that the average gain decline is dropped, the dead volt is lower, and the quality of the films prepared by this process is significantly better, yield and view pass rate is as high as 90%, meeting the dual demands of high electronic transmittance and high ion blocking rate of IBF.

Abstract: A magnon-phonon interaction model is built in the two-dimensional double square ferromagnetic system. By using Matsubara Green function theory, we study magnetic excitation of the system, and calculate the magnon dispersion curve on the main symmetric points and lines in the Brillouin zone. The influences of optical phonon and acoustic phonon on the magnetic excitation of the system are compared, and the influences of the parameter change on the magnon softening are also studied. It is concluded that the coupling of the optical phonon and magnon has predominant effect on the magnon softening, especially the longitudinal optical phonon has the greatest effect on the magnon softening, and the effect of nonmagnetic ion on magnon softening is stronger than that of magnetic ion.

Abstract: The elementary excitation spectra of the one-dimensional spin-1/2 XY model in the ferrimagnetic diamond chain at low temperature are calculated by using invariant eigenvector in this paper. And the elementary excitation energies in different cases are discussed. Therefore, analytic solutions of the three critical magnetic field intensities HC1, HC2 and Hpeak in the system are given. It is found that the analytic solutions of three critical magnetic field intensities are correct from the law of the magnetization changing with temperature under different external magnetic fields, and it is explained by the contributions of the three elementary excitations to the magnetization. The external magnetic field dependent magnetization presents a 1/3 magnetized plateau at low temperature. The variation of magnetic susceptibility either with temperature or with external magnetic field shows a double peak structure, this phenomenon indicates that the double peak structure originates from the competition among the ferromagnetic exchange interaction energy of intramolecular electronic spin parallel arrangement in dimer, the antiferromagnetic exchange interaction energy of intermolecular electronic spin antiparallel arrangement in dimer-monomer, the thermal disorder energy and the spin magnetic moment potential energy related to external magnetic field.

Abstract: A magnon-phonon interaction model is developed on the basis of two-dimensional square Heisenberg ferromagnetic system. The transverse acoustic phonon excitation is studied through Matsubara Green function theory, and the transverse acoustic phonon dispersion curve is calculated at the main symmetric point and on the symmetric line in the first Brillouin zone. It's found that on the line Σ in first Brillouin zone, there is hardening for the transverse acoustic phonon in the smaller wave vector zone (point Γ near kxa<0.2), but there is softening for the transverse acoustic phonon in the softening zone (0.25<kxa<0.7), there is hardening for the transverse acoustic phonon at point M near (0.75<kxa). On the line Δ, there is no phonon softening and hardening for transverse acoustic phonon. On the line Z, there is softening for transverse acoustic phonon in smaller wave vector zone (point X near kxa<0.65), but there is hardening for the transverse acoustic phonon at the point M nearby. The influences of different parameters on the transverse acoustic phonon excitation are also illustrated. It's found that the coupling of the magnon-phonon coupling and the spin wave stiffness are the main factors affecting the transverse acoustic phonon softening.

Abstract: Uranium film is a main functional component to realize the high efficiency conversion of laser to X-ray in the study on laser inertial confinement fusion. It also has important applications in relevant physics experiments. Due to its active chemical properties, the metal uranium film is extremely difficult to preserve in the atmosphere. A variety of methods may help to avoid the oxidation of uranium film, such as coating protective layer, vacuum or inert atmosphere protection. But under these conditions, the oxidation property of uranium film still needs experimental investigation. In this paper, the oxidation processes of uranium films under different atmospheres are studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and depth profiling. Firstly, uranium films and gold-uranium multilayer films are prepared by ultra-high vacuum magnetron sputtering deposition, and then they are exposed to atmosphere, high purity argon and ultrahigh vacuum for a period of time. Finally, the distributions and valence states of oxygen and uranium elements are investigated by XPS depth profiling. The oxidation mechanism is analyzed according to the oxidation products and the microstructure characteristics of samples. The results show that the oxygen element is undetectable in the initial films. In the Au-U multilayer film, the protective ability of Au layer is greatly weakened by the micro-defects. The defect is not only the micro channel of oxygen entering into the sample directly, but also the origin of the interlaminar cracks at the Au/U interface. In about three weeks, the uranium layer is severely oxidized and large area lamination occurs. The oxidation products consist of a dense oxide thin film on uranium surface and corrosion pitting around the defects, which are mainly UO2. For the pure uranium film, the surface of the film is completely oxidized when it is exposed to high purity argon only for 6 h. The UO2 layers with different thickness values are formed on their surface, which is due to the rapid diffusion of oxygen atoms at the columnar grain boundaries of the film. After the sample is exposed to the ultra-high vacuum for 12 h, UO2 layer with a thickness of less than 1 nm is generated on the surface of the pure uranium film. In the etching of oxide by argon ion beams, the preferential sputtering effect of O is produced, and UO2 is reduced into non-stoichiometric UO2-x. The effect of preferential sputtering is weakened with the decrease of oxide content. When the oxide content is less than 10%, the reduction of UO2 can hardly be detected.
