    Abstract: The scope of this paper is to ascertain the perception of community leadership, health professionals and users regarding citizenship status and the enhancement of the healthcare conditions of families belonging to a vulnerable community. This is an exploratory study of a qualitative nature, guided by theory based on data. Data were collected between July and December 2009, by means of interviews with four community health leaders, a team of eight family health team professionals and twelve health users. The codification of the data resulted in the following categories: Understanding the social conditions, the political conditions, the environmental conditions and the health conditions of families in a vulnerable community. The conclusions reached were, that if on the one hand the social security and health policies made it possible to reduce poverty and local inequalities, on the other hand they do not ensure the requisite enhancement of citizenship or even the improvement of health conditions.

    Abstract: Estudio cualitativo que tuvo como objetivo abordar el cuidado a los profesionales que trabajan en unidades de salud, en particular los impactos, los significados y las relaciones en el trabajo, además de la vulnerabilidad al estrés del trabajo. La investigación se realizó en la ciudad de Santa María, estado de Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil), con una muestra de 14 participantes de cinco unidades de salud. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de entrevistas, observaciones y pruebas, y posteriormente analizados mediante el análisis de contenido. Como resultado, el trabajo se presenta unas veces de forma estructurante, es decir, un operador fundamental en la constitución del sujeto, y otras desestructurante, capaz de desestabilizar la identidad y la personalidad y causar enfermedades mentales. Las motivaciones, la relación con la comunidad y el diálogo en las relaciones de trabajo, así como la necesidad de acciones con los profesionales de la salud, con la visión de cuidar de la salud de quien cuida, fueron consideradas fundamentales en la relación salud mental y trabajo.

    Abstract: OBJECTIVE: The study aimed to investigate the repercussions of the Program for Education through Work for Health (PET-Health) in the training of students in the health area. METHODS: This study is exploratory-descriptive, with a qualitative approach. Twenty students participating in the PET-Health scheme participated in the study. The data collection technique was the semi-structured interview and thematic content analysis was used for analysis of the data. RESULTS: The data indicated that the PET-Health is a program which facilitates the search for comprehensiveness and allows the articulation of theory and practice between the students, the health service and the community, which is essential for re-orienting health training. CONCLUSION: It is concluded that the challenge centers on the critical-reflective training of the professionals in the area of health, indicating new behaviors and attitudes.

    Abstract: A gestão da assistência farmacêutica é de importância fundamental para a implementação de uma série de serviços administrativos e assistenciais que impactam nos desfechos em saúde de pacientes hospitalizados. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar a experiência da construção e proposta de implementação de Planejamento Estratégico Situacional (PES) no âmbito da gestão da assistência farmacêutica em uma instituição hospitalar de ensino privado. Como método, foi proposto um plano operativo, fundamentado nas ferramentas de gestão do PES, para avaliação de potencialidades e fragilidades da gestão, visando a redução de custos operacionais, a garantia da acessibilidade aos medicamentos e do atendimento adequado aos usuários. Os resultados apontam para a necessidade de implementar um sistema informatizado que contemple aspectos clínicos e de gestão, garantindo a qualidade dos serviços farmacêuticos hospitalares. Percebe-se ainda, a capacidade do PES em articular múltiplos e distintos pontos de vista  sobre um mesmo problema, para a construção coletiva de um plano de ação efetivo e resolutivo.
