Abstract:
Os estudos INTERHEART e INTERSTROKE identificaram que cerca de 90% dos infartos agudos do miocárdio ou acidentes vasculares cerebrais estão associados a nove principais fatores de risco: tabagismo, diabetes mellitus, hipertensão arterial, obesidade visceral, dieta inadequada (ausência de consumo de frutas e vegetais), sedentarismo, consumo elevado de álcool, relação apolipoproteína B/A1 elevada e transtornos de ansiedade e depressão. Os transtornos de ansiedade e depressão podem ser desencadeados por situações de estresse social, como na síndrome de burnout. Evidências mostram que as mulheres são mais propensas a desenvolverem burnout e tal questão pode estar associada a disparidades no campo profissional, além da carga extra de obrigação domiciliar. Neste artigo, abordamos o impacto do burnout em mulheres e as modalidades terapêuticas que podem ajudar a prevenir ou tratar tal condição, preservando a qualidade de vida da mulher.
