Abstract:
The European North Atlantic Margin (ENAM) Sediment Pathways, Processes and Fluxes program is funded by the European Community in Brussels through Marine Science and Technology (MAST) II. One of the primary objectives of MAST II is to contribute to a better understanding of the marine environment and its variability in the past. Better understanding will improve management and protection of the marine environment today and help to predict possible future scenarios. ENAM is an interdisciplinary research initiative to investigate changes in water current circulation and sediment transport patterns along the European margin as a function of climatic change during the Quaternary.
