    Abstract: The water quality of Da Nang Bay (Viet Nam) is one of the major issues on Da Nang City's coast. The discharge of the Phu Loc (PL) channel will be inserted through the outlet into Da Nang Bay. However, the PL channel receives many sources of wastewater so the highly polluted channel water. Therefore, the outlet of PL channel has become the environmental hotspot of the Da Nang Sea. Mike 21 FM Hydrodynamics module coupled with a water quality model using Mike 21 FM ECOLab module is used to simulate water quality and to identify the spreading of NH4+, which is used as a pollutant tracer. Currently, the outlet of PL channel generates the polluted area along the coast in different directions depending on the current and the direction of the wind. This study proposes three scenarios of designing the outlet far from the coastline 400 m, 500 m, and 600 m, respectively. The finding of this research demonstrates that the best way to discharge the wastewater from PL channel would be the outlet to be moved 500 m away from the coastline. NH4+ concentration 〉 0.2 mg/l will cover an area that distributes about 100 m around the coastline. NH4+ concentration 〉 0.5 mg/l covers an area approximately 0.03 km2.

    Abstract: Vibrio spp. là nguyên nhân gây ra các bệnh vi khuẩn trên thủy sản nói chung và tôm nói riêng. Phương pháp điều trị bằng kháng sinh đã tạo ra các chủng vi sinh vật đa kháng thuốc. Mục đích của nghiên cứu này là đánh giá  ảnh hưởng của cao chiết  và cao chiết kết hợp thực khuẩn thể đối với các dòng Vibrio spp. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện theo hai phương pháp là khuếch tán qua đĩa thạch và trải đếm so sánh mật số vi khuẩn. Kết quả cho thấy, ở thí nghiệm khuếch tán qua đĩa thạch, hầu hết cao chiết và cao chiết kết hợp thực khuẩn thể đều tạo vòng ức chế, khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê so với đối chứng tetracycline 5 mg/mL. Kết quả trải đếm cho thấy hầu hết các loại thực khuẩn thể và cao chiết đều làm giảm mật số vi khuẩn. Tuy nhiên, cao chiết lựu, cao chiết đầu lân và ɸTT1H, ɸTT2H làm thay đổi mật số không có ý nghĩa thống kê (p 〈 0,05).

    Abstract: The water quality of Danang Bay is one of the major issues on the coast of Danang City. The discharge will be inserted into this study domain through the outlet of the Phu Loc Channel. Mike 21 FM Hydrodynamics module coupled to a water quality model using Mike 21 FM ECOLab module is applied to simulate the water quality and to identify the spreading of NH 4 + , which is used as a pollutant tracer. Currently, the outlet of Phu Loc channel has a flow-directed wall which leads the water toward the centre of Danang city. As a result, the study suggests three scenarios of wastewater management from the outlet of Phu Loc channel. The first scenario is that the wastewater will discharge along with the current flow-directed wall. Second, the flow-directed wall will be reconstructed toward the reverse direction compared to the current direction. Third, the current flow-directed wall will be destroyed. Out of three proposed scenarios, the first one generates the longest polluted area toward the centre of the city, along the Danang Bay. Consequently, the current flow-directed wall is not the best way to discharge the wastewater of Phu Loc Channel. The finding of this research demonstrates that the best way to discharge the wastewater from Phu Loc channel would be a flow-directed wall reconstructed toward the reverse direction.

    Abstract: As cities in Vietnam, a combined drainage system has been building in Danang City. In recent years, Danang City has been extensively developing. However, additional wastewater treatment plants have not been built. As a result, wastewater and rainwater are discharged directly into the coastal areas. The initial period of the runoff after first rainfall events can be called the first flush, which has higher pollutants. So the contribution of pollutants from the first flush must be considered in order to correctly make an environmental preservation method for the coastal area. This study uses Mike Urban with modelling water quality to analysis the sensitivity of the NH 4 + concentration in the first flush of the areas. In addition, rainfall intensity and Antecedent Dry Weather Period are two key factors influencing the pollutants of the first flush. Through the results of the simulation, the NH 4 + concentration increase follows the rainfall intensity with maximum concentration appearing when rainfall intensity reaches 19 mm/h. However, NH 4 + concentration then decreases even when rainfall intensity increases. NH 4 + concentration reaches up to around 15 mg/l every 5 days dry period with 30 mm/h rainfall intensity.

    Abstract: Background: The objective multiple-choice test is an assessment method that has been applied widely in universities. The meticulous judgment of complication and differentiation level of objective test questionnaire can beneficially lead to the growth of high quality multiple-choice questionnaire bank and effective examination. Objectives: To evaluate the difficulty level and differentiate level of the objective multiple-choice tests. Materials and method: The multiple-choice theory test (01 Elemental medical exam with 242 students, 01 Clinical medicine exam with 163 students). The difficulty degree of questions was determined by calculating the percentage of students who gave the answers correctly for the given questions in total. The differentiation level was differentiated by the percentage of students who answered correctly in corresponding groups: excellent, good, average, below average, poor. Results: The elemental medical examination comprises 7 hard questions, 58 medium questions, and 35 simple questions; 10 questions have poor degree of difference, 83 questions have good and very good degree of difference. The clinical medicine examination comprises 9 hard questions, 57 medium questions and, 34 simple questions; 23 questions have poor degree of differentiation, 51 questions have good and very good degree of difference. Conclusions: It is crucial to evaluate the difficulty and differentiation standards of the objective multiple-choice examination which enhance the quality of assessment. Thereby, the faculties need to regularly judge these factors while creating the questionnaire and completely evaluating the tests, and the inappropriate questions will be eliminated.     Abstract: Background: From the academic year 2018-2019, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy has renewed the medical training program in the direction of integration based on competence. One of the mandatory criteria is to survey the satisfaction of medical students with the training program at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in order to validate the school’s training quality. A plethora of aspects of the training program was considered in this study, such as objectives and content of the training program, materials and facilities, teaching staff, organization of assessment, and counseling to support students. Objectives: 1) Surveying the fulfillment of medical students with the training program and 2) Finding out some factors related to student contentment with the training program. Materials and methods: Crosssectional descriptive study was applied to investigate the satisfaction of 847 medical students from 1st to 4th year at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The data retrieved from the Google form autocomplete toolkit consisted of 2 parts: general information and the satisfaction of medical students with the training program. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0 software. Partition system description was achieved by frequency and rate. Exploratory factor analysis was employed to evaluate the reliability of the satisfactory scale of students with the training quality and the model’s suitability. Linear regression was utilized to assess the correlation of the training quality factors with the satisfaction of students. Results: Overall, 87.8% of students are content with the renewed training program. The linear regression model shows that the students’ fulfillment is determined by lecturers, objectives and contents of the program, administrative organization (structure, evaluation, and support for students), and facility-related factors (materials and training facilities). Conclusions: The satisfaction rate of students reaches 87.8%. The degree of influence of these factors on the satisfaction of medical students with the training program at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy follows a descending order: (1) teaching staff, (2) objectives and content of the training program, (3) organizing, evaluating, and supporting students, (4) materials and facilities for training.     Abstract: Đặt vấn đề: Các triệu chứng ở giai đoạn COVID-19 kéo dài gây rối loạn ở nhiều cơ quan với nhiều mức độ khác nhau. Tìm được mối liên quan giữa các triệu chứng COVID-19 kéo dài và các yếu tố lâm sàng kèm dịch tễ giúp theo dõi, can thiệp điều trị phù hợp nhằm ngăn chặn các biến chứng, giảm tử vong sau giai đoạn cấp tính cũng như sự xuất hiện các di chứng hậu COVID-19. Mục tiêu nghiên cứu: Mô tả đặc điểm các triệu chứng COVID-19 kéo dài và khảo sát mối liên quan giữa các triệu chứng COVID-19 kéo dài ở bệnh nhân đến khám tại phòng khám Hậu COVID - Bệnh viện Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Nghiên cứu theo dõi dọc ở phòng khám Hậu COVID thuộc Đơn vị hô hấp, Bệnh viện Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ trên bệnh nhân có các triệu chứng COVID-19 kéo dài và các tiền sử bệnh lý, thói quen của họ. Kết quả: Tổng cộng có 305 bệnh nhân tham gia với nhóm tuổi chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất là 15-59. Tỷ lệ nữ nam là 6/4. Tiền sử tăng huyết áp là 11,5%. Phần lớn có tập thể dục với tỷ lệ 64,9%, sử dụng trà/ cà phê chiếm 59,7% và hút thuốc là 10,5%. Các triệu chứng giai đoạn COVID-19 kéo dài chiếm tỷ lệ cao như ho, sốt, đau họng, chảy mũi lần lượt là 73,4%, 58,3%, 51,1%, 31,5%. Kết luận: Có mối liên quan giữa thói quen của bệnh nhân và các triệu chứng COVID-19 kéo dài. Nhân viên y tế cần có cái nhìn tổng quát về các yếu tố liên quan đến bệnh nhân COVID-19 kéo dài và tư vấn duy trì lối sống phù hợp cho bệnh nhân.

    Abstract: The large amount of jackfruit ( Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam) harvested and their short use time caused many difficulties for the farmers. Fortunately, the high sugar content in jackfruit meat is a hopeful substance for wine production. This study aimed to consider the effect of yeast strains and their concentration on fermented jackfruit solution. Jackfruit juice with 14 °Brix is ​​fermented using 0.005 to 0.015% (w/v) Saccharomyces cerevisiae RV002, Mauri Instant Dry Yeast yeast under anaerobic conditions for 1 to 4 days at 30 °C. Survey samples were checked once a day to analyze the indicators. The functional report of the sugar in the fermentation time, shows that the higher incidence of yeast cultures and the initial sugar concentration inhibited yeast growth. The results showed that fermentation from jackfruit meat with 25 °Brix using Saccharomyces cerevisiae RV002 yeast with concentration of 0.01% for 3 days is the best to create a good quality with ethanol content 4,9% and characteristic aroma of jackfruit.
