Abstract: This study focuses on the environmental pressure of waste generated from pig farming in Yen Dung district. Terrain analysis of the digital elevation model (DEM) was used to delineate the sub-basin map where pollutants accumulated. Then we combined this map with land use map and statistical data for determining the distribution of pollutant discharged sources. Based on the pollution load coefficient prescribed by the Vietnam Environment Administration, the loads from all sources, including pig farming, were estimated for entire sub-basins within the district. The results show that the pollutant load from pig farming accounts for a large proportion and creates a major pressure on the local environment. The pollutant from pig farming greatly influences the spatial distribution of pollutant loads across sub-basins. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the waste management at pig farms (households and farm) to ensure the effectiveness of the environmental protection for the communities. Keywords: livestock waste, pollutant load mapping, pig farming.

Abstract: The Lilium genus is a member of the Liliaceae family and is comprised of approximately 110 to 120 species. This genus is considered the largest genome with a haploid DNA content in the plant kingdom and is currently receiving much attention for its great commercial and trading prospects. Among them, Lilium poilanei belongs to the Sinomartagon group, plays an important role in the breeding of Asiatic hybrids. L. poilanei, widely known as an endemic plant in mountainous areas of Sapa, Vietnam and has been intensively exploited due to great commercial significance. In this study, the morphological characteristics and DNA sequence data including the nuclear ribosomal DNA segments of ITS, ITS2, and plastid matK, psbA-trnH and rbcL, rpoC1 were applied to identify L. poilanei collected. The results showed that some morphological details of the lily were specifically analyzed and both markers ITS2 and rpoC1 disclosed superiority in discrimination of L. polinanei with 100% similarity score by the one of ours reported in NCBI Genebank with the accession number of KR632775.1 and KR632777.1, respectively, while the remaining regions have been neither unamplified nor unsuccessfully discriminated and identified. Our findings in morphology and barcodes were reliable, effective and powerful for distinguishing L. poilanei and may identify other species of the family of Liliaceae.

Abstract: Release planning for incremental software development assigns features to releases such that technical, resource, risk and budget constraints are met. Each feature offers a piece of functionality. A feature can be offered as part of a release only if all its necessary tasks are done before the given release date. These tasks require different skills. Staffing for product releases as considered in this paper is the process of assigning human resources from a given pool of developers who might have varying levels of skill to perform different tasks. In addition to that, we consider time windows of absence of the developers. The primary goal of staffing is to provide product releases of best quality where quality means offering the most attractive features to customers in a timely manner. We call the problem STAFF‐PRO. The problem is known to be NP‐complete. Consequently, we have to be satisfied with solutions that are sufficiently good, but not necessarily optimal in the case of mid‐sized or large problems. Search‐based methods relying on meta‐heuristics have been proven to be successful in similar contexts. In this research, a focused search (FS) method is presented. This refers to a two‐phased solution approach where Phase 1 applies integer linear programming to a relaxed version of the full problem. Its solution is used as a starting point to perform FS in a reduced search space in Phase 2. The search itself is conducted by a genetic algorithm. It generates a solution that fulfills all the stated resource and scheduling constraints and is of a proven degree of optimality. We performed an empirical analysis of the proposed solution approach by comparing FS and unfocused search (UFS) (without Phase 1) for a series of 200 test examples. On average, FS performs about 15% better than UFS. The whole method was applied as an industrial case study performed at Chartwell Technology. The case study demonstrates that application of the FS method to STAFF‐PRO (i) allows a reduction in the time needed for generating acceptable staffing plans, (ii) generates plans of proven quality that are better than manual plans and (iii) supports the various types of re‐planning necessary for varying parameters, budgets and resource. Abstract: Giao Thuy located a coastal area, which has fully the characteristed of microclimate Red River delta. This study was conducted to detect the land cover changes from 2000 to 2015 and the causes. The changes are evaluated using Landsat data by method of land use classification combined with interviews. The results showed that most portion of the land cover class was crops land and land cover change was crops land decreases, forest land rises, aquaculture ponds increase, surface water reduces and unuse flat land area increases. The causes were policy issuses, market, economic, salinity intrusion, climate change and deposits alluvial.
