Abstract:
The nightside magnetospheric flux is impacted by the storm event earlier in the storm cycle than expected, (i.e., the SSC phase) Decrease in flux content of up to −40% within the inner magnetosphere for the main and recovery phases is associated with the enhanced ring current Storm‐time asymmetries in magnetic flux and current density are well‐resolved throughout the storm phases
