Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to investigate performance responses of child footballers to 8 week thera-band exercises. Fourteen children from Bingöl province (Turkey) who have been playing Football actively consisted the sample of the study. The players participated voluntarily in the study. Study consisted of experiment (1) and control (1) groups. Experiment groups (n=7, age: 14,00±0,81 year, height: 162,15±0,07 cm, weight: 47,74±4,40 kg) were conducted thera-band exercise and football training (8887 hours and above (4-5 unit) per week) throughout eight weeks. Control groups (n=7, age: 15,14±0,82 year, height: 166±0,06 cm, weight: 49,02±3,18 kg kg) were only conducted football training throughout eight weeks. In order to determine performance difference of children, both groups were conducted anthropometric measurements, sit-ups, flexibility test, 20 m speed test, standing long jump, arrowhead agility test and dynamic balance test (Y test) as pre-test and post-test. Analysis related to inter-groups and intra-groups and training effect, were carried out through multiple variance analysis (MANOVA) in repetitive measurements.
