    Abstract: Mục tiêu: Đánh giá kết quả thử nghiệm của hệ thống phần mềm trí tuệ nhân tạo hỗ trợ sàng lọc trước sinh đối với một số thể lệch bội nhiễm sắc thể (Down, Edward và Patau) tại Bệnh viện Phụ sản Trung ương và Bệnh viện Phụ Sản Hà Nội. Đối tượng và phương pháp: Các hồ sơ bệnh án gồm kết quả siêu âm thai, kết quả sàng lọc trước sinh dựa trên sinh hóa máu mẹ (Double test, Triple test) của tối thiểu 100 thai phụ đến khám tại Bệnh viện Phụ sản Trung ương và Bệnh viện Phụ Sản Hà Nội từ tháng 05/2022 đến tháng 11/2022, được phân tích bởi hệ thống phần mềm trí tuệ nhân tạo (phần mềm học máy và phần mềm hệ tri thức chuyên gia). Kết quả được so sánh với kết quả xét nghiệm nhiễm sắc thể (NST) đồ từ tế bào dịch ối. Kết quả: Hệ thống phần mềm trí tuệ nhân tạo sàng lọc trước sinh lệch bội nhiễm sắc thể cho kết quả chính xác cao, với độ nhạy 100% và độ đặc hiệu đạt từ 80% đến 100%. Kết luận: Do đó, hệ thống phần mềm này là công cụ hiệu quả để đánh giá khả năng sinh con mang lệch bội nhiễm sắc thể phổ biến và có thể hỗ trợ bác sĩ lâm sàng trong sàng lọc bất thường trước sinh trong tương lai.

    Abstract: Frequent forest fires are causing severe harm to the natural environment, such as decreasing air quality and threatening different species; therefore, developing accurate prediction models for forest fire danger is vital to mitigate these impacts. This research proposes and evaluates a new modeling approach based on TensorFlow deep neural networks (TFDeepNN) and geographic information systems (GIS) for forest fire danger modeling. Herein, TFDeepNN was used to create a forest fire danger model, whereas the adaptive moment estimation (ADAM) optimization algorithm was used to optimize the model, and GIS with Python programming was used to process, classify, and code the input and output. The modeling focused on the tropical forests of the Phu Yen Province (Vietnam), which incorporates 306 historical forest fire locations from 2019 to 2023 and ten forest-fire-driving factors. Random forests (RF), support vector machines (SVM), and logistic regression (LR) were used as a baseline for the model comparison. Different statistical metrics, such as F-score, accuracy, and area under the ROC curve (AUC), were employed to evaluate the models’ predictive performance. According to the results, the TFDeepNN model (with F-score of 0.806, accuracy of 79.3%, and AUC of 0.873) exhibits high predictive performance and surpasses the performance of the three baseline models: RF, SVM, and LR; therefore, TFDeepNN represents a novel tool for spatially predicting forest fire danger. The forest fire danger map from this study can be helpful for policymakers and authorities in Phu Yen Province, aiding sustainable land-use planning and management.

    Abstract: Background: Non-communicable diseases seriously affect public health and socio-economic development of the country due to the high number of people suffering from diseases, being disabled and mortal. However, the proportion of people who recognized themselves a suffering from non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia is not high. For cases that their disease situations have been identified, there are not appropriate treatment and preventive behaviors. Objectives: 1) To determine the proportion of 25 - 84 years old peoplewho identified themselves as suffering from hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia. 2) To learn treatment and preventive behaviors in the group of people who identified themselves as suffering from diseases. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with a randomly selected sample of 1600 residents in Thua Thien Hue province. Results: The proportion of people knowing that they are suffering from hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia was 29.4%; 3.2% and 7.8% respectively. Among them, the proportion of people who did not treat and treated irregularly accounted for 42.7%; 13.7% and 75.2% respectively; the proportion of people who did not change their lifestyles and dietary habits accounted for 50.1%; 5.9% and 56.8% respectively. Conclusions: The proportion of people who identified themselves as suffering from some non-communicable diseases without appropriate treatment and preventive behaviors is alarming. Interventions are needed to help people realize the importance of treatment and prevention effectively. Key words: Non-communicable diseases, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia

    Abstract: Mục tiêu: 1. Nhận xét kết quả thai kỳ và biến chứng sản khoa ở thai phụ bị lupus ban đỏ hệ thống có thai ở Bệnh viện Bạch Mai. 2. Tìm hiểu một số yếu tố liên quan đến kết quả thai kỳ bất lợi ở thai phụ bị lupus ban đỏ hệ thống. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Mô tả tiến cứu trên 30 thai phụ bị lupus ban đỏ hệ thống được quản lý và kết thúc thai kỳ tại Bệnh viện Bạch Mai từ tháng 1/2022 đến tháng 1/2023. Kết quả thai kỳ bất lợi là 1 trong các tình trạng sau: (i) thai chết lưu sau 12 tuần, (ii) đẻ trước 36 tuần do thai chậm phát triển trong tử cung, tăng huyết áp, tiền sản giật, (iii) tử vong sơ sinh (iv) sơ sinh nhẹ cân so với tuổi thai. Kết quả: Kết quả thai kỳ bất lợi xảy ra ở 14 thai kỳ (46,7%): 2 (6,7%) tử vong sơ sinh, 5 (16,7%) đẻ non do TSG, 7 (23,3%) đẻ non do thai chậm phát triển, 8 (26,7%) sơ sinh nhẹ cân so với tuổi thai. Nhiễm khuẩn hậu sản có 5 bệnh nhân (16,7%): 3 (10,0%) nhiễm khuẩn vết mổ, 2 (6,7%) nhiễm khuẩn tử cung. Các yếu tố liên quan đến kết quả thai kỳ bất lợi là nồng độ C3 giảm (OR 8,07, 95%CI 1,54 - 42,32), protein niệu ≥ 1 g/L (OR 6,0, 95%CI 1,003 - 35,91) và kháng đông lupus (OR 7,0, 95%CI 1,14 - 42,97). Kết luận: Kết quả thai kỳ bất lợi xảy ra ở 46,7% bệnh nhân lupus ban đỏ hệ thống có thai. Tỷ lệ nhiễm khuẩn hậu sản là 16,7%. Giảm nồng độ C3, protein niệu ≥ 1 g/L và kháng đông lupus dương tính là các yếu tố tiên lượng kết quả thai kỳ bất lợi.

    Abstract: Nanosized zinc oxide is an intriguing material that can be applied in various fields. In this study, Ce doped ZnO nano-catalysts (Ce-ZnO) were synthesized by two different methods ( i.e. , hydrothermal (Ce-ZnO-HT) and polymer gel combustion (Ce-ZnO-CB) methods) to compare their photodegradation efficiency. The prepared material characteristics were investigated using XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR, UV-Vis, PL, XPS, EDS, and BET. The bandgap of both nanoparticles (NPs) was 2.95 eV, despite the fact that the morphology of Ce-ZnO-HT NPs was 1D-rod-shaped and that of Ce-ZnO-CB NPs was 0D-spherical. However, the surface area and oxygen vacancy rate of Ce-ZnO-HT NPs were higher than those of Ce-ZnO-CB NPs. These differences are directly related to the photocatalytic activity of Ce-ZnO NPs. Accordingly, the results showed that photocatalytic efficiency was classified in the order Ce-ZnO-HT 〉 Ce-ZnO-CB 〉 pure ZnO, and the photocatalytic reaction rate constant of Ce-ZnO-HT used to decompose MB was 3.0 times higher than that of Ce-ZnO-CB. Interestingly, the photodegradation mechanism study revealed that hydroxyl radicals and holes were shown to be more important contributors to methyl blue degradation than photo-induced electrons and superoxide radical ions.

    Abstract: This study focuses on the appraisal of firms performance and on its representation and reporting. Using interviews and inquiries in firms operating in the cement industry in Vietnam, two points are investigated. First, whether firms top executives consider that firms sustainable performance may include economic, social or environmental performance that is not integrated in financial statements. The theoretical framework is the stakeholder theory complemented with the institutional theory. Second, whether economic, social and environmental performance should be disclosed to answer the expectations of the various stakeholders. Therefore, our research contributes to corporate governance studies by focusing on reporting dedicated to all the stakeholders.

    Abstract: With the impacts of tropical storms on Vietnam’s residences, the aim of the study is to produce a new framework for designing sustainable resilient houses in Vietnam’s coastal areas. This study was based on the community’s need to develop a set of guidelines for improving the stability of domestic buildings in storm-prone areas. It also addresses some unresolved issues including storm-proofing techniques and sustainable development in coastal dwellings. The main findings of this study were defined by the use of mixed-method approaches. These research methods involved observational surveys, questionnaires, interviews, case studies, and computer simulations. Particularly, the case studies were simulated by the use of computational fluid dynamics to mimic the storm impacts on existing buildings. These concentrated on the solutions, techniques, benefits, and challenges of sustainable resilience in coastal residences. The results are presented by a framework for designing a sustainable resilient house and a prototype was also tested. Both the framework and the prototype can satisfy the community demands by making energy-efficient buildings and effective wind mitigation guiding other research about developing sustainable and resilient houses in the future.
