Abstract: Terörle mücadele sürecinde malul (engelli) gazi sayısı her geçen gün artmaktadır.

Abstract: In medical discourse, vaginismus, which is defined as a female sexual dysfunction, is generally considered from a biomedical point of view according to the criteria of medical classification systems such as DSM and ICD. The aim of this study is to evaluate the medicalization of vaginismus in the context of social work through the experiences of women having vaginismus in Turkey. Within the scope of the study, a qualitative research approach is used and in-depth interviews were conducted with 22 women with vaginismus experience. As a result of the analysis, it is understood that the participants do not see vaginismus as a physical or psychological disease, but as a situation affected by gender inequality and female sexuality being seen as taboo. Social constructions of femininity, various attitudes of partners and socio-economic factors affect the vaginismus process. Elimination of gender inequality, making sexuality talkable, sexuality education, and providing free and easily accessible support mechanisms are considered important in the context of vaginismus. It is thought that the medical solutions of vaginismus, which are reduced to providing the sexual intercourse function only in the focus of heteronormativity, are not sufficient to solve the real problems of women. With its wide professional wealth, social work is thought to be an important mechanism with practices such as holistic approach to vaginismus experiences, understanding women, helping women determine their own destiny, and supporting them in many ways on the path they want to follow. It is considered important that social workers are involved in the process of addressing women's sexual problems.

Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the job satisfaction and burnout levels of social workers working in different social services. This study which was planned as a quantitative research in general survey model has a target population that consists of all social workers working in Istanbul. During the procurement of the data, Personal information form created by the researcher, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale and Maslach Burnout Scale were used. The acquired findings of the survey were interpreted based on the results of the t-test and Anavo analysis, and the data were analyzed in the SPSS 21 program. As a result of the findings of the study, it was determined that the employees working one to one with clients have more than 20-30 hours higher internal satisfaction scores and those with seniority of 5-10 years have higher internal satisfaction scores. It was determined that those who willingly chose the profession and those who felt themselves professionally had higher internal and external satisfaction scores. Emotional exhaustion and low personal success points decrease, internal and external satisfaction scores are increased as social workers feel inadequate. In addition, as the quality of communication decreases, the emotional exhaustion degree and the quality of communication with the managers decreases as the burnout dimension scores and the quality of communication with colleagues and manager increases and the internal and external satisfaction scores increase. Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low personal accomplishment score, and internal and external satisfaction scores are increased as long as independent decision-making process is not supported within the organization. It is thought that the research findings obtained from this study will determine the variables affecting the satisfaction and burnout levels of the social workers and will be important in terms of contributing to the overall efficiency and success.

Abstract: Escaping from home in adolescence is one of the risky behaviours exhibited by adolescents. Although there are many sub-factors for adolescents to exhibit this risky behaviour, family functioning is among the most important factors. This study was carried out with 43 adults who are the parents of 43 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 who were admitted to the First Response and Evaluation Units of the Şanlıurfa Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies and designed as causal comparative research from the quantitative research methods. As data collection tools; the information form was used to learn the sociodemographic and economic status and the Family Assessment Scale was used to measure the perceived family functionality subdimensions of the participants. In addition, the data were collected by face-to-face interview technique and analyzed by performing Kruskal Wallis H-Test and Man Whitney U-Test with the help of SPSS 22 package program. In this study, it is aimed to investigate whether there is a significant difference between the current family characteristics of adolescents who have escaped from home and the subdimensions of family functionality perceived by their parents. Accordingly, it was observed that the parents have an unhealthy perception of all subdimensions of the Family Assessment Scale’s which are problem solving, communication, roles, showing the necessary attention, emotional reaction, behaviour control and general functions. It was determined that 39,5% of the participants had a divided/fragmented family. In addition, in the study, it was found that adults who have lost their spouse perceive the behaviour control subdimension of the Family Assessment Scale as unhealthier than adults whose spouses are alive.

Abstract: Child neglect is an insidious form of maltreatment because it relies on the absence, not the presence, of behavior, leaving permanent traces that affect many aspects of children's development. Therefore, it is very important to notice the child neglect without delay and to take necessary interventions. However, studies on child neglect are limited and there is difficulty in defining and measuring the concept of neglect. With this research, the dimensions of neglect experienced by children were aimed to be understood by evaluating the care levels of the mothers of the children who were thought to be neglected. This research is a descriptive research based on the screening model. The mothers of 32 children, aged 0-6 years, who were suspected of neglect during the medical examinations, were included in the study. In the study, Graded Care Profile was used to assess the severity of neglect and to make a reliable decision about the quality of the care the children received. According to the Graded Care Profile, the four areas of care; physical care, security, love and developmental support areas, were evaluated by making observations at home visits and receiving information from mothers. In the study, it was found that the mothers were found more adequate in the physical care of their children, while the children were neglected in the fields of supporting love and development, including appropriate stimuli. In order to identify neglected children according to objective criteria, awareness of the professionals in the field should be increased and families should be intervened in a timely manner.
