    Abstract: In this work, Ag nanoparticles (NPs) were fabricated by thermal decomposition of silver nitrate in organic solvents in the presence of sodium oleate (SOA) and 1-octadecanol (OCD-ol). The effects of different solvents and concentrations of OCD-ol on the morphology and properties of the Ag nanomaterials were investigated in detail. The structural analysis of the Ag nanomaterials showed good crystallinity. The TEM images of the samples showed that with the change in the fabrication conditions, different sizes and shapes of Ag nanomaterials were formed. The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) properties of the  Ag NPs were influenced by their size and shape. The as-synthesized Ag NPs have potential applications in biomedical, catalysis, or electronics.

    Abstract: In silico docking studies of 50 selected compounds from Millettia dielsiana Harms ex Diels (family Leguminosae) were docked into the binding pocket of the PI3K/mTOR protein. In there, compounds trans−3−O-p-hydroxycinnamoyl ursolic acid (1) and 5,7,4′−trihydroxyisoflavone 7−O−β−D−apiofuranosyl−(1→6)−β−D−glucopyranoside (2) are predicted to be very promising inhibitors against PI3K/mTOR. They direct their cytotoxic activity against Hepatocellular carcinoma with binding affinity (BA) values, the pulling work spent to the co-crystallized ligand from the binding site of PI3K/mTOR (W and Fmax), and the non-equilibrium binding free energy (∆GneqJar) as BA values = −9.237 and −9.083 kcal/mol, W = 83.5 ± 10.6 kcal/mol with Fmax = 336.2 ± 45.3 pN and 126.6 ± 21.7 kcal/mol with Fmax = 430.3 ± 84.0 pN, and ∆GneqJar = −69.86074 and −101.2317 kcal/mol, respectively. In molecular dynamic simulation, the RMSD value of the PI3K/mTOR complex with compounds (1 and 2) was in the range of 0.3 nm to the end of the simulation. Therefore, the compounds (1 and 2) are predicted to be very promising inhibitors against PI3K/mTOR. The crude extract, ethyl acetate fraction and compounds (1 and 2) from Millettia dielsiana exhibited moderate to potent in vitro cytotoxicity on Hepatocellular carcinoma cell line with IC50 values of 81.2 µg/mL, 60.4 µg/mL, 23.1 μM, and 16.3 μM, respectively, and showed relatively potent to potent in vitro antioxidant activity on mouse hepatocytes with ED50 values of 24.4 µg/mL, 19.3 µg/mL, 30.7 μM, and 20.5 μM, respectively. In conclusion, Millettia dielsiana and compounds (1 and 2) are predicted to have very promising cytotoxic activity against Hepatocellular carcinoma and have a hepatoprotective effect.

    Abstract: Mixed gel electrolytes were fabricated chemically at a temperature range of 2–5°C using some additives comparing with traditional electrolytes (1.26 g/cm 3 H 2 SO 4 ). The polyacrylamide (PAM) content is kept constant (0.2 wt%), while the propylene glycol (PPG) and nano fumed silica (NFS) contents varied. The material characteristics of samples were assessed by physical appearance observation, electrochemical measurements, and physicochemical methods. The results showed that a hard gel without separation of solutions was found in the case using a PAM/PPG/NFS ternary additive (0.2/0.1/0.6 wt%). The morphological structure ( 〈 50 nm) of mixed gel electrolytes was in the range of nanometer. The gas release on the PbSb electrode was strongly inhibited (92.2–93.7% for O 2 and ∼55% for H 2 at the 120th cycle), which will both contributes to reducing the pressure as well as limiting water loss in the sealed lead acid battery, compared with that in the sulfuric acid medium.

    Abstract: Để cải thiện chất lượng ánh sáng của các đèn LED phát xạ ánh sáng trắng cần tạo ra một loại vật liệu phát xạ mạnh trong vùng ánh sáng đỏ và đỏ xa. Vật liệu SrTiO3 pha tạp ion Eu3+ được chúng tôi tổng hợp bằng phương pháp phản ứng xẩy ra ở pha rắn, với nhiệt độ nung thiêu kết 1100 oC, với nồng độ pha tạp từ 1 đến 6% nguyên tử. Kết quả phân tích giản đồ nhiễu xạ tia X cho thấy vật liệu có cấu trúc perovskite với mạng tinh thể dạng lập phương với độ tinh khiết pha cao. Khi nung thiêu kết ở 1100 oC, vật liệu có biên hạt rõ nét, có kích thước phân bố đều trong khoảng từ 300 đến 500 nm. Vật liệu SrTiO3 pha tạp Eu hấp thụ mạnh trong vùng từ ngoại cho phát xạ mạnh trong vùng ánh sáng đỏ, với giải phát xạ từ 525 đến 725 nm, tương ứng với quá trình dịch chuyển từ trạng thái 5D0 về 7Fj (j = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) của ion Eu3+ trong mạng nền tinh thể SrTiO3. Hiện tượng dập tắt huỳnh quang quan sát thấy ở nồng độ pha tạp 4% ion Eu3+. Vật liệu thu được đáp ứng tốt cho những ứng dụng phủ trên các LED phát xạ ánh sáng trắng và đèn LED chuyên dụng cho chiếu sáng thực vật.

    Abstract: Bài báo nghiên cứu quá trình hấp phụ metyl da cam (MO) ra khỏi nước bằng vật liệu composit chitosan - magnetit (CM). Quá trình hấp phụ được nghiên cứu thông qua nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của pH, thời gian hấp phụ, nhiệt độ và nồng độ ban đầu của metyl da cam. Các dữ liệu thực nghiệm được phân tích theo mô hình đẳng nhiệt hấp phụ Langmuir và Freundlich. Động học hấp phụ được nghiên cứu theo các mô hình giả động học bậc 1, giả động học bậc 2, Elovich và khuếch tán nội phân tử. Kết quả cho thấy, quá trình hấp phụ của MO trên CM phù hợp với mô hình động học bậc 2 và mô hình đẳng nhiệt hấp phụ Langmuir. Dung lượng hấp phụ cực đại tính theo mô hình Langmuir giảm từ 188,88 đến 162,99 mg/g khi nhiệt độ tăng từ 293 đến 313K. Quá trình hấp phụ MO trên CM là quá trình tỏa nhiệt, tự diễn biến. Sự hấp phụ được tạo bởi lực hút tĩnh điện giữa CM và MO. CM có thể dễ dàng thu hồi nhờ từ tính của vật liệu. CM đạt hiệu suất khá cao sau 3 lần tái sử dụng.

    Abstract: The recovery of metals from discarded mobile phones has been of interest due to its environmental and economic benefits. This work presents a simple and effective approach for leaching copper (Cu) from the printed circuit boards of discarded mobile phones by combining ultrasound and ozone approaches. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used to characterize the solid phases, and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) was utilized to determine the concentration of metals in the liquid phases. The effects of several influential parameters, including ultrasound, ozone dose, HCl concentration, liquid/solid ratio, temperature, and reaction time on the leaching efficiency were investigated. The results showed that the optimal conditions for Cu leaching included an ozone dose of 700 mg/h, HCl concentration of 3.0 M, liquid/solid ratio of 8, and temperature of 333 K. Under optimal conditions, about 99% of Cu was leached after 180 min. The shrinking core model was used to analyze the kinetics of the Cu leaching process, and the results showed that the surface chemical reaction governs this process. The activation energy of the leaching reaction, calculated using Two-Point form of the Arrhenius equation, was 10.852 kJ mol−1.

    Abstract: This article studies on the synthesis of chitosan – magnetite composite materials (CM) by in-situ method. The composite materials were synthesized in mass ratio chitosan: magnetite from 9:1 to 4:6. The characterization of CM composites were determined by XRD and SEM methods showed that the crystal size and material surface depend on the proportion of chitosan added during the synthesis. These materials were able to removal CFX antibiotics in aqueous by adsorption method. The CM46 composite adsorbed well CFX with equilibrium time of 60 minutes. The adsorption of CFX onto CM46 followed the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption model. The maximum adsorption capacity was 53.25 mg/g. The kinetic of the removal fitted better to the pseudo-second-order.

    Abstract: Vật liệu composite chitosan – ma nhê tit (CS-MNPs) đã được tổng hợp bằng phương pháp in-situ kết hợp đồng kết tủa. Các đặc trưng của vật liệu đã được nghiên cứu thông qua các phương pháp X-Ray, SEM, BET và VSM. Vật liệu CS-MNPs đã tổng hợp có dạng hình cầu với đường kính khoảng 20 nm, diện tích bề mặt 119,43 m2/g. Vật liệu có từ tính tốt với từ độ bão hòa là 36,5 emu/g. Khả năng loại bỏ thuốc nhuộm rhodamin B (RhB) đã được nghiên cứu thông qua nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của các tham số hấp phụ: pH dung dịch, thời gian hấp phụ, nồng độ ban đầu của RhB và nhiệt độ hấp phụ. Động học quá trình hấp phụ RhB trên CS-MNPs tuân theo mô hình giả động học bậc 2. Quá trình hấp phụ phù hợp theo mô hình hấp phụ Langmuir và Freundlich. Dung lượng hấp phụ cực đại giảm từ 271,79 đến 148,41 mg/g khi nhiệt độ tăng từ 293 đến 313K. Quá trình hấp phụ là quá trình tự xảy ra, diễn ra tự nhiên và thu nhiệt.
