Description: Accurate wind speed forecasting is a fundamental element of wind power prediction. Thus, a new hybrid wind speed forecasting model, using variational mode decomposition (VMD), the partial autocorrelation function (PACF), and weighted regularized extreme learning machine (WRELM), is proposed to improve the accuracy of wind speed forecasting. First, the historic wind speed time series is decomposed into several intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). Second, the partial correlation of each IMF sequence is analyzed using PACF to select the optimal subfeature set for particular predictors of each IMF. Then, the predictors of each IMF are constructed in order to enhance its strength using WRELM. Finally, wind speed is obtained by adding up all the predictors. The experiment, using real wind speed data, verified the effectiveness and advancement of the new approach.

Description: Sustainability, Vol. 10, Pages 3378: Fit between Organizational Culture and Innovation Strategy: Implications for Innovation Performance Sustainability doi: 10.3390/su10103378 Authors: Zhi Chen Shenglan Huang Chong Liu Min Min Liying Zhou Although prior studies have indicated the interrelationships between specific types of innovation strategy and specific elements of organizational culture, few studies simultaneously evaluate the relationship between the two multi-dimensional constructs in holistic perspective. Based on configuration theory, we conceptualize fit as ‘profile deviation’, and investigate the fit between an organization’s culture and its innovation strategy. Data were collected from 183 Chinese organizations. We examine the hypothesis that greater fit between organizational culture and innovation strategy encourages superior innovation speed and innovation quality. Our results provide evidence that in the group of organizations exhibiting either exploratory or exploitative innovation strategy, the more similar the organizational culture configurations are to those of the top performers, the higher their innovation speed and innovation quality are. In the group of organizations exhibiting ambidextrous innovation strategy, the fit between organizational culture and innovation strategy is insignificantly associated with innovation speed and innovation quality. Implications for applying the culture–strategy fit in innovation management are discussed.

Description: Sensors, Vol. 18, Pages 2788: Tensor-Based Angle Estimation Approach for Strictly Noncircular Sources with Unknown Mutual Coupling in Bistatic MIMO Radar Sensors doi: 10.3390/s18092788 Authors: Yuehao Guo Xianpeng Wang Wensi Wang Mengxing Huang Chong Shen Chunjie Cao Guoan Bi In the paper, the estimation of joint direction-of-departure (DOD) and direction-of-arrival (DOA) for strictly noncircular targets in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with unknown mutual coupling is considered, and a tensor-based angle estimation method is proposed. In the proposed method, making use of the banded symmetric Toeplitz structure of the mutual coupling matrix, the influence of the unknown mutual coupling is removed in the tensor domain. Then, a special enhancement tensor is formulated to capture both the noncircularity and inherent multidimensional structure of strictly noncircular signals. After that, the higher-order singular value decomposition (HOSVD) technology is applied for estimating the tensor-based signal subspace. Finally, the direction-of-departure (DOD) and direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation is obtained by utilizing the rotational invariance technique. Due to the use of both noncircularity and multidimensional structure of the detected signal, the algorithm in this paper has better angle estimation performance than other subspace-based algorithms. The experiment results verify that the method proposed has better angle estimation performance.
