Description: The data contains upward broadband irradiance, as well as attitude corrected and uncorrected downward irradiance measurements that were performed during the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) experiment between June and September 2020. Research flights were conducted by helicopter and the helicopter-borne probe HELiPOD. Measurements were taken by CMP22 broadband pyranometers (210-3600 nm). The data includes the attitude and geographic location of the helicopter/HELiPOD in a 10 Hz temporal resolution.

Description: Data include area fractions of sea ice surface types (white ice/snow, bright melt ponds, dark melt ponds, open water, bare ice) obtained from aerial imagery during 29 research flights that were performed within the scope of the Multidisciplinary Drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) experiment from May 2020 until end of September 2020. The images were taken every four seconds by fisheye lens cameras (Canon EOS digital) installed on a helicopter or HELiPOD, a towed survey probe. The data set provides additional information about the attitude and geographic location of the helicopter/HELiPOD. Only images that passed the quality checks were included.

Description: Sea ice buoy saltharp was deployed at the MOSAiC LM-site from mid January to August 2022. It measured autonomously and non-destructively the temperature and conductivity between horizontal wire pairs, from which we retrieve solid fraction and sea ice bulk salinity profiles. This dataset contains the raw data of saltharp as it was received onshore via satellite link. The saltharp had severe technical problems, making most of the data unusable. A processed data set will exclude these values. Definitely wrong ones have already been replaced here with -999. as NaN indicator. Further information on the data format and the measurement record are collected in the attached protocol documents.
