    Abstract: Urban planning and development of Thai Nguyen province has made breakthrough achievements, creating a driving force to develop Thai Nguyen to become a regional commercial center, trade and economic center of the Midlands and Northern mountainous region and Hanoi capital area. The article focuses on analyzing the current status of the urban system of Thai Nguyen province through analyzing the current distribution, size, and urban characteristics, and forecasting the province's urban population in 2025 and 2030. This study points out some limitations that exist in the process of urbanization such as: small urban population size, low urbanization rate, inadequate infrastructure... and challenges that the province will have to face. Based on the results of analysis and assessment of the current situation, the study proposes a number of solutions to overcome the limitations and overcome challenges, promoting the development of the urban system of Thai Nguyen province in the coming time.

    Abstract: Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang nhằm nhận xét tỉ lệ và một số yếu tố liên quan đến đau khớp gối mạn tính trên 199 bệnh nhân ≥ 60 tuổi được chẩn đoán thoái hóa khớp gối nguyên phát. Tỉ lệ đau khớp gối mạn tính gặp là 84,9%. Tỉ lệ đau khớp gối mạn tính do nguyên nhân thần kinh là 19,5%. Không có sự liên quan giữa đau khớp gối mạn tính với thời gian bị thoái hoá khớp gối, vị trí thoái hoá khớp gối, biên độ vận động khớp gối và tổn thương trên Xquang theo phân loại Kellgren và Lawrance (p 〉 0,05). Có sự liên quan giữa đau khớp gối mạn tính với giá trị thang điểm VAS khi nghỉ, khi đi bộ và khi lên cầu thang (p 〈 0,05). Có sự liên quan giữa đau khớp gối mạn tính với điểm WOMAC đau khớp gối (p 〈 0,05). Tóm lại, đau khớp gối mạn tính là một triệu chứng thường gặp. Mức độ đau ở người cao tuổi bị thoái hoá khớp gối có đau khớp gối mạn tính cao hơn so với nhóm không có đau khớp gối mạn tính.

    Abstract: Vietnam is currently affirming its position in the global startup ecosystem map with the 59th ranking in the world. The great achievements in recent years have shown the spirit of "start-up nation", which is the result of the efforts of the entire political – economic – social system of the country. However, Vietnam's innovative startup ecosystem still has many difficulties and is still loose in linkage and cooperation between components and actors of the startup ecosystem. This article focuses on analyzing the status of linkages and cooperation between actors in the startup ecosystem such as state managers, investors, researchers and trainers, etc. at the same time learning experiences from successful countries in start-up, on that basis, proposes a number of solutions to develop Vietnam's innovative start-up connection network.

    Abstract: Introduction: Proteases are enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of peptide bonds and play an important role in almost all biological processes. However, excessive protein proteolysis can be implicated in several diseases, such as cancer, as well as cardiovascular, inflammatory, neurodegenerative, bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases. In these cases, protease inhibitors can be used as one of versatile tools for regulating proteolytic activity of target proteases as well as therapeutic applications. In this study, we expressed and characterized a new serine protease inhibitory protein (PI-QT) from the metagenome of sponge-associated microorganisms in Escherichia coli. Methods: The gene PI-QT encoding for a new serine protease inhibitory protein was expressed in E. coli BL21(DE3). In addition, the expressed protein was purified and characterized. Results: Optimization of expression of the recombinant protein PI-QT in E. coli showed that suitable conditions for expression of the protein were pre-induction cell density (OD600) of 0.6 - 0.7, IPTG concentration of 1 mM and temperature of 25oC. The protease inhibitory protein was also purified and identified by mass spectrometry LC-MS/MS. The recombinant protein showed inhibitory activity against trypsin anda-chymotrypsin with activity values of 97526 U/mg and 41714 U/mg, respectively. Maximum activity of the protease inhibitory protein was obtained at pH 7 and temperature 20-35oC. The inhibitor was stable over pH 4-9 and up to temperature 50oC. Addition of Zn2+, Mg2+ and Ca2+ enhanced inhibitory activity, whereas other metal ions, surfactants and oxidants reduced inhibitory activity of the protease inhibitor. Conclusion: The recombinant protein PI-QT is a potential protease inhibitor for therapeutic applications.

    Abstract: Nghiên cứu đánh giá tỷ lệ ngã, các yếu tố liên quan đến ngã và mô tả hậu quả sau ngã ở bệnh nhân ngoại trú cao tuổi. Nghiên cứu tiến cứu được thực hiện từ 03/2018 - 03/2021 trên 636 bệnh nhân ngoại trú ≥ 60 tuổi tại Bệnh viện Lão khoa Trung ương. Trong 1 năm theo dõi, 226 người (35,5%) bị ngã, đa số ngã xảy ra trong nhà, chủ yếu tại phòng ngủ (61,1%) và nhà tắm (41,6%), thường gặp nhất do trơn trượt (52,2%). Các yếu tố liên quan đến tăng nguy cơ ngã là: tuổi ≥ 80 (OR = 2,9), tiền sử ngã (OR = 2,0), sử dụng thuốc hướng thần (OR = 1,7). Sau ngã, 44,2% trường hợp bị chấn thương, 32 bệnh nhân (14,2%) bị gãy xương, 23 người (10,2%) bị bất động sau ngã, một bệnh nhân tử vong. Mức độ chấn thương nghiêm trọng hơn ở phụ nữ và những người ≥ 80 tuổi. Kết quả cho thấy ngã ở người cao tuổi cần được quan tâm, việc thay đổi môi trường sống an toàn hợp lý là cần thiết để giảm thiểu ngã và các chấn thương liên quan.

    Abstract: A cross-sectional study was carried out among 321 patients aged 60 years old or over at National Geriatric Hospital to evaluate the association between some factors and constipation in older people from July to October 2020. Data were collected by using a designed questionnaire included: general information, fluid intake, Rome IV criteria, Instrumental Activities of Daily Living scale (IADLs) and Activities of Daily Living scale (ADLs). Multivariate logistic regression was used to assess association between constipation and related factors. The mean of age was 71.6 ± 8.2 (year). 58.3% of participants had normal BMI. Water intake and physical function were signifcantly associated with constipation (p 〈 0.01). Multivariate logistic regression between constipation and related factor showed that water intake 〉 1500ml and independent instrumental activities of daily livings were signifcantly associated with decreased constipation risk (OR = 0.361; 95% CI: 0.148 - 0.882 and OR = 0.832; 95%CI: 0.703 - 0.985, respectively). To prevent constipation, it is important to encourage older patients to drinking enough at least 1500ml water per day and do regular physical activity
