Abstract: This work provides a comprehensive overview of income inequality, including its background, relevant data, and different theories and perspectives on the issue. The focus is to shed light on this complex topic and provide a deeper understanding of the various arguments and evidence regarding income inequality. Theories range from classical economics viewing it as a necessary component of growth to more recent perspectives highlighting negative impacts such as slower growth, reduced mobility, and increased poverty. The work will examine these theories in detail and provide an in-depth analysis.

Abstract: The possibility of a US recession in 2023 has sparked concerns among economists, policymakers, and market participants. This article explores the potential economic implications of such a recession and discusses policy considerations to mitigate its impact. By utilizing economic models and analyzing historical data, we aim to provide insights into the measures that can be taken to prepare for a potential downturn.

Abstract: The US dollar has been the world's dominant reserve currency for decades, but its future is uncertain amid concerns about inflation, economic instability, and geopolitical tensions. One proposed solution to these challenges is to return to a gold-backed currency, which would provide a stable store of value and limit inflationary pressures. However, implementing a gold standard is not without challenges, including the need for significant gold reserves, limitations on monetary policy flexibility, and potential deflationary pressures. This paper explores the potential advantages and disadvantages of a gold-backed US dollar, as well as the practical considerations for implementing such a system. Alternative monetary systems, including fiat currencies, commodity-backed currencies, and cryptocurrency, are also examined. In addition, this paper analyzes the political feasibility of establishing a gold standard in the US and public opinion on the matter. Two linear models are presented to apply to the US dollar and the gold standard.

Abstract: This study examines the potential US recession in 2023 and its economic implications, employing established economic models and indicators to assess the likelihood of a recession. By utilizing the Keynesian Cross and IS-LM models, we evaluate the effectiveness of policy responses and identify appropriate measures. The findings underscore the significance of timely and targeted stimulus, the need for coordinated monetary and fiscal policies, and the importance of long-term structural reforms. Based on these insights, policymakers are recommended to adopt proactive measures to mitigate the impact of the recession and promote economic stability.

Abstract: The nest building and courtship behaviours of the golden eagle are poorly represented in the scientific literature. The paper reports on the first detailed description of building a new nest by a pair of golden eagles. Reciprocal pendulum flight by the pair as part of a pre-breeding courtship display is described for the first time. The “mock attack” between the members of the pair is confirmed to serve the courtship function.

Abstract: This research includes a Comsol Mutiphysics model describing the temperature distribution on aluminum during the laser conductivity welding process. The influence of  laser power and speed on the welding process is discussed and compared with experiments. Numerical simulations of laser welding process have been performed to determine the temperature fields of laser impact to samples of aluminum. Numerical calculations are made for fiber laser. The plots of the temperature dependence on the surface and in the depth of aluminum samples on the velocity are analyzed for several power densities for this laser.

Abstract: In this work, the fabrication and operation of an active parallel cantilever device integrating four self-sensing and self-actuating probes in an array is presented. The so called “Quattro” cantilever system is controlled by a multichannel field programmable gate array (FPGA) controller. The integrated cantilever devices are fabricated on the basis of a silicon-on-insulator wafer using surface micromachining and gas chopping plasma-etching processes [I. W. Rangelow, J. Vac. Sci. Technol., A 21, 1550 (2003)]. The unique design of the active cantilever probes provides both patterning and readout capabilities [Kaestner et al., J. Micro-Nanolithogr. MEMS 14, 031202 (2015)] . The thermomechanical actuation allows the individually operation of each cantilever in static and dynamic modes. This enables a simultaneous atomic force microscopy operation of all cantilevers in an array, while the piezoresistive read-out of the cantilever bending routinely ensures atomic resolution at a high imaging speed. The scanning probe lithography capabilities of the active cantilevers are based on the utilization of a Fowler–Nordheim field emission process of low-energy electrons (20–50 eV) for direct writing maskless lithography. The cantilever in the Quattro active cantilever array have a pitch of 125 μm (tip-to-tip distance), which allows an image size of 0.5 × 0.2 mm to be acquired within a single scan with 0.2 nm resolution in the vertical direction. Using parallel imaging, an effective scanning speed of 5.6 mm/s is achieved. The multichannel, scalable controller architecture allows four FPGA channels to scan and collect data simultaneously. A data buffer of 128 Mbits for a single frame of 4096 × 1024 pixels is applied. The designed data transfer system allows a packet size of 128 pixels to be transmitted within less than 10 μs, respectively. Thus, the entire image frame is transferred in less than 280 ms, which exceeds the required throughput in the practical cases like critical dimension-metrology and inspection. In this article, the authors are presenting the concept of the system, which combines imaging, metrology, and lithography capabilities with a low-cost of ownership. In this context, the authors are investigating the throughput capability, reproducibility, resolution, and positioning accuracy of the Quattro active cantilever system.

Abstract: This paper examines the implications of global currency wars for emerging economies. Currency wars, defined as competitive devaluations of currencies by countries to boost their exports and economic growth, have become increasingly common in recent years. The impacts of currency wars on emerging economies are significant and multifaceted, including exchange rate volatility, inflation, trade imbalances, and capital flows. The paper analyzes case studies of Brazil, China, and India to illustrate the different responses of emerging economies to currency wars. The paper then discusses policy options for emerging economies, including exchange rate management, capital controls, monetary policy coordination, and regional cooperation. The paper concludes with a discussion of the future outlook for currency wars and their implications for emerging economies and offers policy recommendations for emerging economies to navigate this complex landscape.

Abstract: The concept of a Federal Job Guarantee (FJG) program has garnered considerable attention in economic and political circles. The FJG entails the government providing employment opportunities to all eligible citizens, aiming to ensure full employment and alleviate poverty. This paper examines the potential benefits and disadvantages of implementing such a program on the national economy, labor market, and society. Through a comprehensive analysis of theoretical frameworks, empirical evidence, and real-world case studies, this paper sheds light on the potential implications of the Federal Job Guarantee.
