Abstract: The mobile cloud computing (MCC) that combines mobile computing and cloud concept takes wireless access network as the transmission medium and uses mobile devices as the client. When offloading the complicated multitask application to the MCC environment, each task executes individually in terms of its own computation, storage, and bandwidth requirement. Due to user’s mobility, the provided resources contain different performance metrics that may affect the destination choice. Nevertheless, these heterogeneous MCC resources lack integrated management and can hardly cooperate with each other. Thus, how to choose the appropriate offload destination and orchestrate the resources for multitask is a challenge problem. This paper realizes a programming resource provision for heterogeneous energy-constrained computing environments, where a software defined controller is responsible for resource orchestration, offload, and migration. The resource orchestration is formulated as multiobjective optimal problem that contains the metrics of energy consumption, cost, and availability. Finally, a particle swarm algorithm is used to obtain the approximate optimal solutions. Simulation results show that the solutions for all of our studied cases almost can hit Pareto optimum and surpass the comparative algorithm in approximation, coverage, and execution time.

Abstract: With the development of multimedia related technologies, smart education has entered a new stage. With the support of multimedia computer network education, education is no longer traditional school education, network education can be carried out through smart devices, and knowledge innovation and dissemination can be achieved through the huge teaching resources of the multimedia and the Internet. By investigating the application of multimedia computer network education in smarter course teaching, this paper analyzes the students’ recognition of the use of multimedia tools for smarter course teaching in smarter course teaching activities, students’ participation in smarter course learning activities under multimedia computer network education, and students’ learning effects to prove that multimedia technology is conducive to the improvement of students’ learning quality.

Abstract: Time synchronization is one of the key technologies of wireless sensor networks. At present, most studies assume that the transmission delay is a fixed value, and there is no effective processing of historical clock data. Therefore, this paper proposes a clock frequency drift and phase offset estimation scheme which is considering variable transmission delay and historical clock data. This paper has clarified the effectiveness of the Gaussian delay model in the calculation of time synchronization error. On this basis, this paper calculated the maximum likelihood estimations of frequency drift and phase offset and the corresponding Cramer-Rao lower bound. Meanwhile, the transmission delay is optimized by comparing the chi-square distance between measured and standard data. Also, this paper conducts autonomous training on historical data to provide services for improving the accuracy of fitting estimation. Simulation results validate the performance of the proposed scheme.

Abstract: Heterogeneity of consumer preferences is a crucial feature of the platform economy, and service price and charging strategies crucially influence customer choice behavior. To enhance consumer experience and boost product value, video platforms offer value‐added services, also known as premium membership features. For instance, Youku's benefits of value‐added service include seamless video playback, high‐definition picture quality, and exclusive episodes. This study constructs a two‐stage Hotelling model from monopoly to duopoly competition. Considering the heterogeneity of consumer preferences for product quality and platform usage costs, we analyze the impact mechanism of the customer preferences heterogeneity and the service pricing of video platform enterprises. In addition, we analyze the Nash equilibrium strategies of competing enterprises in the competition scenario, and we consider two charging strategies: freemium and bundled sales. The results indicate that the consumer sensitivity factors significantly impact the optimal pricing of services and the profits of enterprises and that this impact varies with the heterogeneity of customer composition and the type of charging strategies. For the optimal solutions in a competition scenario, the proportion of quality‐sensitive customers is positive for the freemium model, whereas it is negative for the bundled sales model. Furthermore, we analyze the impact of heterogeneous customer composition on the choice of charging strategy utilizing numerical analysis. This study provides a theoretical basis and decision support for product development and value‐added service pricing that can be applied to video platform enterprises and other media platforms.

Abstract: Online product pricing is an important factor that affects the purchase of customers and the earnings of e‐commerce platform enterprises. It has an increasingly prominent influence on consumers’ purchasing decisions. To study the influence of customers’ anchoring psychology and product pricing on customers’ purchasing behaviors, this paper proposes a pricing model that considers online consumers to be anchored by the product price and sales. The cognitive bias of online consumers is described by a utility function based on an anchoring‐adjustment heuristic, and consumer choice behavior and an online product pricing strategy are studied with a multinomial logit model. Then, it studies the influence of the anchoring point and anchoring degree on optimal pricing, sales and profit. In particular, when consumers are anchored only by sales of goods, the optimal solution is monotonic with respect to the anchoring degree. However, when consumers are anchored by both price and sales, both factors affect consumer behaviors and produce more complex results. This paper provides a flexible pricing mechanism for platform enterprises, and it can provide a theoretical basis and decision support for dynamic pricing of platform enterprises based on historical consumption data.

Abstract: Using the staggered and reciprocal passage of interstate bank deregulation as an exogenous variation in the degree of bank integration, we investigate how and why bank integration influences the market for corporate control for nonfinancial firms. We posit that bank integration affects acquisitions either through reducing the information asymmetry between acquirers and targets or through increasing credit supply. Our evidence is more consistent with the former channel. Specifically, we document that (1) cross-state acquisitions are more likely to occur between reciprocally deregulated states, and (2) firms are more likely taken over by out-of-state acquirers after deregulation; this effect is stronger for a target who borrows from an out-of-state bank, whose local bank is acquired by an out-of-state bank, and who is informationally more opaque. Announcement returns for acquirers of out-of-state (particularly private) targets increase after deregulation, consistent with better identification of higher-valued targets by acquirers after deregulation.
