Abstract:
Endogenous dynamics are present in post-merger integration between organizations, individuals and teams. Post-merger integration (PMI) involves many challenges and leads to a simultaneous search for multiple and sometimes competing objectives. Through a longitudinal case study of a merger between two French listed companies in the urban planning development sector, we identify the dynamics and triggers for stakeholders to get out of the dualities identified during the PMI process. We demonstrate the value of a multilevel reading to meet the management of conflicting requirements in a post-merger process.
