Abstract: The deformation performance of aluminum alloy formwork under stress is investigated in this research using static tests. The entire model of aluminum alloy formwork under load during construction is investigated using finite element simulation. And then, there’s the project’s actual value. The function is established during the construction period under the limit state of typical use of the wall in terms of reliability. The fluctuation characteristics of the dependability index of the out-of-plane deformation of the concrete wall are explored, and various results are produced, by taking into account the various reinforcement variables of the aluminum formwork. The study discovered that when the number of uses increases during the turnover usage process, the bearing capacity of the building formwork support gradually decreases, and the associated reliability index falls below 2. Adding horizontal and vertical rods above 3.6 m to the single support system, in combination with other elements, is recommended to strengthen its stability. The results reveal that joint semirigidity and wall thickness have a significant influence on the ultimate bearing capacity of construction formwork. The change characteristics of building formwork ultimate bearing capacity in the process of repeated turnover use are studied by increasing the initial defect method to simulate the increase of building formwork turnover times, with the conclusion that the more repeated use times, the lower the building formwork ultimate bearing capacity.

Abstract: We use the dynamic conditional correlation (DCC) model to estimate daily frequency mutual fund betas. Compared with traditional estimates, daily betas better capture changes in fund risk stemming from daily fund trading activity. Based on these beta estimates and a two-stage estimation procedure, we find significant evidence of market timing ability among actively managed U.S. equity funds that is not apparent via standard approaches. Unlike traditional measures, our timing estimates correlate positively with fund performance. Market timing is especially evident during down markets, with successful timers exhibiting low downside risk. Timing ability persists across time and attracts investor flows. Abstract: The maximum clique problem (MaxClique for short) consists of searching for a maximum complete subgraph in a graph. A branch-and-bound (BnB) MaxClique algorithm computes an upper bound of the number of vertices of a maximum clique at every search tree node, to prune the subtree rooted at the node. Existing upper bounds are usually computed from scratch at every search tree node. In this paper, we define an incremental upper bound, called IncUB, which is derived efficiently from previous searches instead of from scratch. Then, we describe a new BnB MaxClique algorithm, called IncMC2, which uses graph coloring and MaxSAT reasoning to filter out the vertices that do not need to be branched on, and uses IncUB to prune the remaining branches. Our experimental results show that IncMC2 is significantly faster than algorithms such as BBMC and IncMaxCLQ. Finally, we carry out experiments to provide evidence that the performance of IncMC2 is due to IncUB. The online supplement is available at https://doi.org/10.1287/ijoc.2017.0770 .

Abstract: This paper investigates the outage performance of simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) in network-coded two-way relay systems, where a relay first harvests energy from the signals transmitted by two sources and then uses the harvested energy to forward the received information to the two sources. We consider two transmission protocols, power splitting two-way relay (PS-TWR) and time switching two-way relay (TS-TWR) protocols. We present two explicit expressions for the system outage probability of the two protocols and further derive approximate expressions for them in high and low SNR cases. To explore the system performance limits, two optimization problems are formulated to minimize the system outage probability. Since the problems are nonconvex and have no known solution methods, a genetic algorithm- (GA-) based algorithm is designed. Numerical and simulation results validate our theoretical analysis. It is shown that, by jointly optimizing the time assignment and SWIPT receiver parameters, a great performance gain can be achieved for both PS-TWR and TS-TWR. Moreover, the optimized PS-TWR always outperforms the optimized TS-TWR in terms of outage performance. Additionally, the effects of parameters including relay location and transmit powers are also discussed, which provide some insights for the SWIPT-enabled two-way relay networks.
