Abstract:
CHARPENTRAT Jean-Pierre and Jean-Marie FOURNIER - Literature in Junior High-School (collège). Pondering and classifying a body of texts. As it appears in text-books, the literature studied in Junior High-School (collège) French classes is not the same as the one studied in Senior High- School (lycée). Though the "classics" make up 53.9% of the body of literature, the pre-eminence of the narrative genres is overwhelming. What is more, one notes the appearance of the category known as "literature for the young", defined here by the external editorial criterion that they are published in collections of that kind). The presence of popular literature was also observed.
