Abstract:
Using a facial expression categorization task, we found that social anhedonia is associated with a reduced advantage of happy over sad faces and delayed neural discrimination between happy and sad faces during the perceptual processing stage. Our results suggest that social anhedonia is associated with a deficit of perceptual processing during facial expression categorization.
