Abstract:
Zinc-finger nucleases simultaneously and permanently inactivate HIV coreceptors ccr5 and cxcr4 resulting in HIV-resistant CD4+ T cells. These HIV-resistant cells may be used to achieve a functional cure for HIV in humans.
