Abstract:
This is the large cohort study containing 3968 hemodialysis patients in Hiroshima and follow‐up since 1999 to determine HBV and HCV related long term prognosis and genotypes. Decreasing trend of HBsAg and anti‐HCV prevalencewas found. Comorbid diabete mellitus and HCV RNA positivity are significantly related to poor prognosis. By this study, the predominant HBV genotype is C2 and that of HCV is 1b.
