Notes: Sample stacking can be used to increase the amount of analyte loaded onto a capillary column without loss in resolution. After the sample is loaded onto the column, the analytes are then separated by conventional capillary zone electrophoresis. When using gravity injection, over an order of magnitude improvement in detection limit is achieved. There is an optimal point for the amount of material which can be injected onto the column based on the resolution desired for the separation.
