Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis:
Notizen:
Summary The anal carcinoma must be divided histologically into two different tumors: (1) basaloid carcinoma and (2) squamous cell carcinoma. The prognosis of each tumor is completely different. The 5-year survival rate of the basaloid tumor is 33%, of the squamous cell carcinoma, 44%. The operative technique can be local excision (mostly squamous cell carcinoma), 60% 5-year survival rate, and A-P excision of the rectum (basaloid carcinoma), 5-year survival rate, 37%. Twenty-six patients with anal carcinoma were treated from 1961 to 1976. A local excision should be performed only on perianal tumors.
